Besides, the 49ers have the number one scoring defense(118 pts allowed), and have the stingiest defense in terms of yards per carry against(I believe 3.9). Plus you have the potential defensive MVP in Justin Smith, as well as the best pair of middle linebackers in the game in Willis and Bowman. Also, you have the best bargain this season in Carlos Rogers(who NOW looks like a top ten pick), as well as the potential defensive ROTY(Aldon Smith). Not only is the defense of San Francisco COMPLETELY stacked, but they also have a running game that was built entirely through the draft(3 1st rd picks on the O-Line). We're a rising team, and if Alex Smith can become a consistent game manager/situational passer, they can compete with Green Bay and possibly advance to Indianapolis in February

@NYtothaG, what do you mean we haven't played anybody? We beat the 2 teams you lost to(how pathetic)... We also beat 2 6-2 teams in Cincinnati and Detroit(Detroit was 5-0 at the time)... To say that SF's wins aren't as impressive as the Giants' win against Bill Belichick's 32nd ranked defense is a travesty... If anything, THE GIANTS haven't played anyone that great. You have yet to play a single top 10 defense, which makes your 6-2 record look like a fluke... Wait until after this brutal stretch, when you're 8-8, and we're 13-3

Why does Walter hate on the Giants every week? He never picks them to even cover the spread if they are underdogs and when they're playing a decent team, WTF. Giants haven't lost to a good team yet this year - though they got their asses handed to them in that fluke to the seahawks - they seem to rise to the occasion to play against good teams.

I expect this game will again come town to the third quater for the Giants, but I'm certain they'll pull it off. Especially if Bradshaw and Nicks can get back into the lineup.
