2013 Senior Bowl: Tuesday Prospect Meetings Report (South Team)

By Charlie Campbell - @draftcampbell

Here is a recap of the player interviews that were conducted on the field after Tuesday's practice by the South team. Typically, these interviews with area scouts are to set up longer, formal interviews for a night during the week. While teams say they "talk" to every player, teams do not take the time to conduct formal interviews with every draft prospect, so this can be a clue as to which players are on their radar.

Baltimore - Duke wide receiver Connor Vernon, Georgia wide receiver Tavarres King, Stanford running back Stepfan Taylor, Texas A&M wide receiver Ryan Swope and Wake Forest fullback Tommy Bohanon

Denver - Georgia safety Shawn Williams and Texas A&M wide receiver Ryan Swope

Indianapolis - Rice tight end Vance McDonald

Jacksonville - BYU defensive end Ezekiel Ansah and Texas A&M outside linebacker Sean Porter

Minnesota - California offensive linemen Brian Schwenke and Wake Forest fullback Tommy Bohanon

New Orleans - Baylor wide receiver Terrance Williams and Stanford linebacker Chase Thomas

New York Jets - San Diego State cornerback Leon McFadden

Philadelphia - Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson, Georgia defensive end Cornelius Washington and San Diego State cornerback Leon McFadden

San Diego - Baylor wide receiver Terrance Williams, BYU defensive end Ezekiel Ansah, Florida State kicker Dustin Hopkins and Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones

St. Louis - BYU defensive end Ezekiel Ansah, Florida offensive tackle Xavier Nixon, Georgia safety Bacarri Rambo and Rice tight end Vance McDonald

Washington - Clemson running back Andre Ellington and Tennessee-Martin defensive tackle Montori Hughes

@m4rty08 I'd actually pferer some New Age music like Depeche Mode over this .. whatever it is. 60 s *POP* music rocks more then the BEP, 70 s rock music was awesome, so were the 80 s 90 s, and guess what, some of those bands still outplay the BEP after a 40 year long carrier .

What do you think it will take to sign Joseph, about 9 Mil per year? And Benson about 5 Mil per? Not sure what their 2010 salaries were, but that’s blobapry a 12 Mil increase. We assume they cut Chad and save 6 Mil, and Carson is traded or retired saving 11.5 Mil in 2011. If they don't trade Carson, even if he is considered retired, they will approach it like he's going to play and get paid, so the Budget will plan for 11.5 Mil being spent on Carson. This may hurt them even more because they will have to sign Dalton (about 2 Mil) plus bring in another FA QB. Figure they will spend anywhere from $500,000 to 2 Mil for another QB, so total budget allocated for Bengals QBs will be between 14 16 Mil in 2011. They also have to pay big money to A.J. Green, which will more than eat up the money freed from letting TO walk and releasing Chad.

I'd take a fat girl in the first round, so I could have someone to play with on the bench.

Walter has seen the light on Quinton Coples. He's a bum who doesn't give any effort unless it's an obvious passing situation, or it's a run coming directly at him. He's the next Derrick Harvey: perfect size and athleticism, but he's soft and will turn into a total bum once he gets paid.

Any team that drafts a 28 year old rookie in the first 4 rounds deserves to be mocked. He's maxed out his talent and will never get any better in the NFL.

@ Moore

1. The Broncos success came because of their great defense and the revival of Willis McGahee, remove the Steelers game and Tebow sucked the entire last month and a half of the season.

2. Comparing Cam Newton to Kellen Moore? That's the dumbest comparison in the history of sports. Newton had NFL size, accuracy, arm strength, and insane athleticism. Moore is small, innacurate over 12 yards, has a belwo average arm, and has underwhelming athleticism. He's a less fat Chase Daniel.

U gotta stop hating on guys just because they prove u wrong.. What the freak did u expect Foles to do be perfect on the day? The dude was very good and displayed a cannon arm and was right on the money on alot of NFL type throws including the TD pass to CRINER and he had a drop that should of been a catch albeit the ball did nose dive some. Foles has exceptional arm strength and a good looking release and i would take em over Ryan Tannehill any day of the week! I would definetly pick foles in RD 2 if was a Gm and needed a QB..
Also u gott be mentally retarded to try and down Coples after today. The dude played outstanding and u bring up only when he wasen't in on a play??lol Uhhh what u expect the guy to do make a play on every snap???lol He was dominant!

How the freak do u not put anything down on CASEY HAYWARD? Hayward looks like a 1st round talent at CB that had 2bad calls on em on what should of been passes defended and also a Pick and i believe another couple PD as well? Hayward had a marvelous game! He could possibly be the single most underrated player in this draft! Nothing on Kendall Reyes? The guy boosted his stock all wk and had 2sacks today!!!lol
