2012 Senior Bowl: Wednesday Rumor Mill

By Charlie Campbell - @draftcampbell

  • Coaches at the Senior Bowl are saying that one of the reasons why Oregon coach Chip Kelly turned down the Buccaneers head coaching position was because of what he heard from former Bucs head coach Jon Gruden. After Gruden was fired by Tampa Bay's owners, the Glazers, he went out to Oregon to learn the spread offense from Kelly. The two are said to be friends, and coaches at the Senior Bowl are saying that Gruden gave a thumbs down to working with the Glazers and the Bucs organization. That helped Kelly to decide to remain with Oregon.

  • Scouts have told WalterFootball.com that the Texas trio of linebacker Keenan Robinson, defensive tackle Kheeston Randall and linebacker Emmanuel Acho have helped their stock this week. Randall and Robinson are physical linebackers with quickness. Scouts believe that they have scheme flexibility and could be options as inside linebackers for a 3-4 defense. Randall had a disappointing senior season, but his strong week of practice has helped to revive his stock to potentially go in the second day.

  • Sources have said the Kansas City Chiefs have emphasized studying the offensive linemen this week. The Chiefs had a big hole at right tackle this season. If they draft a natural left tackle, they could move Brandon Albert to the right side. If the value isn't there for the Chiefs to land a good left tackle in the first round, they could look to get a right tackle on the second day of the 2012 NFL Draft.

  • Sources have said the Detroit Lions have emphasized offensive linemen, cornerbacks and running backs in their draft preparation. The offensive line and cornerback are obvious needs. Running back is a bit of a surprise considering they used high draft picks on running backs in the 2010 and 2011 NFL Drafts. However, there are concerns about Javhid Best's long-term career with the amount of concussions he's had in college and only two NFL seasons. The Lions have an inclination to draft the best player available regardless of position, so a running back can't be ruled out for Detroit.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars quarterbacks coach Greg Olson had a lot of options for his next job after leaving Tampa Bay. Olson isn't at the Senior Bowl, but sources here said that Olson could have been the quarterbacks coach with the Bears and Browns. He also turned down the offensive coordinator position with the University of Florida. Olson took on the challenge of getting Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert turned in the right direction after an ugly rookie season. If Olson can get Gabbert to make big improvements, Olson should be a hot coaching candidate in 2013.

I saw this at the state fair of Texas. I did the push up move while it vibrated at a low sitteng. I liked it. I constantly walk around with one shoulder higher than? the other and after 4 to 5 minutes my shoulders were becoming level again. I want the machine nut the 4K price tag is hard to swallow.

Hi there KB ... thank you so much for your message, I am doing OK. I have been hnaivg a few health problems which have been causing me some grief but surgery at the end of this month will hopefully fix that for me. My brother, who has a chronic kidney disease, has been very unwell also. His kidneys are only functioning now at 20% after a double bout of pneumonia in the last 12 months. If is kidneys deteriorate to 15% he will have to start dialysis, we are all very concerned and are hoping for a miracle. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that finding your comment was really nice, thank you.As for Gridiron.... my husband played it for 5 years & it is the longest game I think there is on the planet & they really are like 4 hours long. I watched lots of games but I still had trouble understanding all the plays etc. Rugby league is much less confusing. have great week...cheers Kath

You? are correct. NO pargorm will work unless you change your diet. If you eat bad foods and lots of calories you will stay the same. But if you do and use vibration exercise, you can lose up to 4 times as much fat as with regular exercise. You can read the report done on this by searching Congress on Obesity vibration exercise . Very impressive results.

John 62050 . I think it's 17.50 million. Chad 6 mill Carson 11.5 mill.Lots of room there to sign some Free Agents if the money is right. Worth iontng it's a rarity for the Bengals to ever be up against the CAP. With dwindling attendance, maybe Mike will get creative and sign some big time free agents.

Seems to me this lockout is nnosense. For the one day the lockout was null, the coaches rushed to get the playbook into the hands of any takers. Then afterwards they say, we can't talk to the players but nothing prevents the players from sharing! On the one hand they want to punish the players. On the other they have a vested interest that the players remain in shape and ready to go! This is all a charade.

anything. Carry on. At least we got Osama, right?I can usually teralote Simmons' NBA stuff, but his most recent mishmash of Wire quotes combined with a double-installment rambling about the first round of the NBA playoffs was perhaps the most unreadable thing he's ever posted. It's one of the few written things I've ever walked away from unfinished and I've read Atlas Shrugged.
