Sanchez is a very
good athlete. He displays good quickness and has excellent footwork
in the passing game. When taking off downfield is when you can
really notice the effects of his knee. He has trouble changing
directions quickly but has really good straight line speed. Sanchez
shows very good agility and balance when moving around and out of the
pocket while keep his eyes downfield.
Sanchez is an outstanding
competitor and has been his whole life. When Sanchez got his shot
this year to be the guy for the Trojans his production was excellent.
He is a consistent player whose mechanics never waiver. Sanchez's
pride and determination helped him to be clutch in big play situations.
Sanchez plays his best in the biggest games and his production shows it.
He is a tremendous team player who does a great job of leading his teammates
and keeping everyone involved.
game is outstanding he prepares well and reads defenses exceptionally.
He displays excellent instincts and does a great job victimizing the
defense. Sanchez maintains great concentration throughout the course
of the game. He does a good job of adjusting to the defense and
taking what they give him.
Sanchez has exceptional
size for QB in the NFL. He shows good explosion when getting the
ball out of his hands that leads to a very quick release. Sanchez
plays strong and has a very strong arm that allows him to zip the ball
downfield with a lot of velocity. Sanchez's only knock is his knee
injury and that could scare some teams away as it was fairly noticeable
when running the 40 at the combine.

Sanchez's biggest upside is his
skills and mechanics. He does a good job of being consistent in
his drop backs and delivery. Sanchez has an outstanding ability to
recognize the defense and know where he is going with the ball before
it is snapped. He comes up with big plays by setting up the defense
and then taking advantage of them.
weakness is his lack of starter experience. He has only started
for one season. Another is his question of durability and mobility
with his knee injury. The speed of the game in the NFL is so much
faster that it may pose a problem to Sanchez in moving around the pocket
with his knee.
Sanchez has tremendous potential
to be a star in the NFL just like Leinert and Palmer did as well.
USC produces players who are ready for the NFL, but Sanchez's lack of
game experience will probably cause teams to pass on him early on.
There is no question about his abilities and skill sets. Sanchez
has excellent technique and is a very heady QB. He does an excellent
job of recognizing coverages and blitzes. Sanchez has a quick release
and is very accurate with the ball giving his receivers all the chances
to make plays after the catch. Hopefully Sanchez has gained enough
game experience at USC so that it is not a rude awakening in the NFL.
