  • Michigan

  • Chad Henne's Scouting Report
    By Matt McGuire

Strengths: Has a very powerful arm and can make all the throws…Is strong and tough to bring down…Good touch on his deep ball…Has a lot of experience and is consequently the leader of his offense…Technically sound and has good footwork…Has a quick release and puts good zip on the football.

Weaknesses: Receivers sometimes have to go out of their way to catch the football because Henne doesn’t do a great job of placing it…Doesn’t sense pressure in the pocket very well and gets fidgety…Not an elusive runner…Locks onto receivers and doesn’t have great vision.

Thoughts: I just don’t think Henne has the makeup of a first-round pick because his accuracy is spotty and he is inconsistent, but he could prove me wrong with a big senior year.

    Player Comparison: David Carr.
