    2010 NFL Power Rankings: Playoffs
    1. Green Bay Packers (14-6) - Previously: #1 - To all of you haters who criticized my ranking the Packers No. 1 all year - HA! SUCK IT! No one believed in me, but I had the last laugh!!! Muhahahahahahaha!!!!

Sorry. I thought I was an insecure football player there for a second.

You can check out my Super Bowl thoughts and observations in my Super Bowl XLV Live Blog. I've eaten too much to write anything else.

    2. Pittsburgh Steelers (14-5) - Previously: #2 - I'm pissed off that the Packers kicked the covering field goal that cost me $210, so let's go to Notes from NFL.com GameCenter - a list of a few stupid comments I read on NFL.com's GameCenter during the Super Bowl and my thoughts on them:

      1. "RESPECT THE PACK,THY ARE NOT THE REAL AMERICAS TEAM FOR NOTHING. GREEN BAY WON 9 CHAMPIONSHIPS BEFORE THY CALLED IT THE SUPER-BOWL AND THEN WHEN THY DID CALL IT THE SUPER-BOWL THY WON THE FIRST 2 AND THEN AGAIN IN 97, WHICH MEANS TECHNICALLY GREEN BAY HAS WON 12, SO JUST BECAUSE THY DIDENT CALL IT THAT UNTELL 66-67 IT STILL WAS FOR ALL THE MARBLES!!!!!!!!!"

What's with all the "Thy's?" I guess this person is a William Shakespeare buff.

      2. "all i know is that clay and co,going to ring ili bens bell!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and put a crack in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ah, if only the Liberty Bell could be charged with sexual assault - then it and Big Ben would have so much in common.

      3. "i think people only call it the best becouse it was the most recent they have VERY short memorys what about the superbowl with NY and NE ? WAY better then cards vs Steelers superbowl ..."

Do you think the people with short "memorys" can spell the word "memories" better than this guy? That would be kind of ironic.

      4. "RECOMEND IF YOU TINK THAT TOMPSON DOES OR shouldD DO ANGER MANAGMENT"

RECOMEND IF YOU TINK THAT THIS PERSON'S PARENTS DOES OR shoulD BUY HIM A DICTIONARY

Just because they had so much hype going into the season, doesn't mean they were worth a crap. Carolina, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Atlanta and Tampa are all better than those two teams.

Dont really see how the eagles, cowboys, bucs and bills are higher than the Falcons, a road win in Detroit is impressive

Ummm.... Mike? Cowboys and Eagles have 5 wins between them thank you very much. And honestly I don't think either team is really in the wrong place. Cowboys have been way inconsistant but they have led in the 4th quarter in every game they've lost and beat the rams pretty bad. As for the Eagles, even though they have sucked it up this year, they did look good in their last game and are way more talanted than the teams behind them.

Why did the falcons not move up after beating the one loss lions which everyone predicted them to loose?

Well the Jets have a pretty nice defense but their offense so far has not been impressive. But if you recall back to 4 years ago when Mark Sanchez was QB for USC, USC was in the top 20 in the football league. So recalling that I believe that the Jets will AT LEAST make the playoffs.

Okay I get it you got bored after going through your top 5 in the Power Rankings and started drawing teams out of a hat to fill the list. Either that or you know almost nothing about football.

    @Foleyface

Destroying Cleveland? You mean when we had the ball on the your 40 yard line with a minute left down by seven? Yep, destroyed us.

I know what it's like to have a crappy team and really start to believe that they are good. Your coach will be the death of the Raiders. McFadden doesn't get the ball nearly enough and when you're up by 14 with 4 minutes remaining inside your opponents 20 and it's 4th and 1 what do you think you should do? Well Hue Jackson thinks you should go for it. Instead of kicking the safe field goal and increasing it to a 3 possession game (which either way it would've been whether they score a TD or kick a FG) you now get stuffed and then give up a garbage touchdown. But then you give up an onside kick and if the Browns weren't completely inept on offense, we could've tied the game because your coach is a moron. Give the ball to your best players on offense, which happens to be McFadden and Janikowski.

Walt, do you rank these teams just to get peoples blood boiling or what. It's ok if thats the idea but come on. Cowboys and Eagles have 4 wins between them and they are just out of the top 10? You have to be some kind of nfc east homer.

Also- how is it that you rank the Cowboys #11 and the Eagles #13 here, but then call them both overrated over on your picks page? Isn't ranking them this high, well, OVERRATING THEM?

pete carroll hasn't proven himself? he inherited one of the least talented rosters in the league and took them to the final 6 last season.

Hey Walt- love the "Trident Bastard" nickname for Phillip Rivers. I've got a few issues with the rankings. First off, how do the Saints stay at #3 after my Bucs won? 49ers, Lions, and (especially) Ravens are all better than them right now. Second: the Cowboys at #11?!?!? I know they've kept it close in their losses, but they're just not that good. Same with the Eagles at 13. Finally (and it pains me as a Bucs fan to come to their defense), I don't understand how you can have the Raiders down at #19.

You didn't have the 49ers at #10 last week, you liar.

Yeah the cowboys offense sucked, in the last game....

i hate how some of the fans have absolutely no faith in thier team

so how come the patriots, 49ers, and the lions are all ranked high if we almost beat them or beat them and we suck

    Walt,

I am a long time Cowboys fan but I will admit what many non-Cowboy fans are saying - they are not 11th best in the NFL. Rob Ryan has been a great addition but the offense sucks. When I heard about Felix being out 3-4 weeks yesterday I barely reacted because he wasn't doing jack when he was healthy. Choice isn't doing anything & Murray hasn't shown much more. Maybe it's the O-Line - but the only team they've beaten lately with any kind of consistency is themselves.

While they have the talent to be special they just don't have the desire. I see 8-8 as being our high-end projection right now.
