Green Bay Packers (14-6) - Previously: #1 - To all of you haters who criticized my ranking the Packers No. 1 all year - HA! SUCK IT! No one believed in me, but I had the last laugh!!! Muhahahahahahaha!!!!
Sorry. I thought I was an insecure football player there for a second.
You can check out my Super Bowl thoughts and observations in my Super Bowl XLV Live Blog. I've eaten too much to write anything else.
-
Pittsburgh Steelers (14-5) - Previously: #2 - I'm pissed off that the Packers kicked the covering field goal that cost me $210, so let's go to Notes from NFL.com GameCenter - a list of a few stupid comments I read on NFL.com's GameCenter during the Super Bowl and my thoughts on them:
1. "RESPECT THE PACK,THY ARE NOT THE REAL AMERICAS TEAM FOR NOTHING. GREEN BAY WON 9 CHAMPIONSHIPS BEFORE THY CALLED IT THE SUPER-BOWL AND THEN WHEN THY DID CALL IT THE SUPER-BOWL THY WON THE FIRST 2 AND THEN AGAIN IN 97, WHICH MEANS TECHNICALLY GREEN BAY HAS WON 12, SO JUST BECAUSE THY DIDENT CALL IT THAT UNTELL 66-67 IT STILL WAS FOR ALL THE MARBLES!!!!!!!!!"
What's with all the "Thy's?" I guess this person is a William Shakespeare buff.
2. "all i know is that clay and co,going to ring ili bens bell!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and put a crack in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Ah, if only the Liberty Bell could be charged with sexual assault - then it and Big Ben would have so much in common.
3. "i think people only call it the best becouse it was the most recent they have VERY short memorys what about the superbowl with NY and NE ? WAY better then cards vs Steelers superbowl ..."
Do you think the people with short "memorys" can spell the word "memories" better than this guy? That would be kind of ironic.
4. "RECOMEND IF YOU TINK THAT TOMPSON DOES OR shouldD DO ANGER MANAGMENT"
RECOMEND IF YOU TINK THAT THIS PERSON'S PARENTS DOES OR shoulD BUY HIM A DICTIONARY

I would rank the Bucs higher. Not just b3cause of the free agent signings of Golston & Revis, but they are also getting back Nicks, Joseph, and Clayborn. Clayborn was playing at a pretty high level a few years ago and the guards are 2 probowlers. Add them with R3vis and Golston and the team is getting 4 pro bowlers they didnt have next year and Clayborn.

Haha good take on Bucs. All this talk about worst secondary in the league should be directly attributed to the dumb ass gm who traded Aquib knowing Wright would be suspended. HAD to get Revis but was perfectly fine with EJ Biggers last year.

your an idiot if you think the jags are not ANY better coming out of this draft. Upgraded o line, secondary, two explosive offensive weapons, and they got the qb that you PROJECTED TO THEM as a UDFA. They're definitely a better team now then they were before the draft

Doubting Adrian Peterson isn't a smart thing...I don't know if the Vikings are going to be any better this year or not, they have a very tough schedule and an early bye week, so I won't argue that. All I know is saying Adrian Peterson CAN'T improve off last year is a dumb statement. He was already the opposing teams main focus and he still put together a great finish to his season, so you can't say "Well people will gear up to stop Adrian more now" because that was already the case and it didn't work much. He also claims he should've had at least 200 more yards that he didn't break the tackle like he should've.

@Wyatt Burp: The Lions are in their rightful place, permanently mired in the cellar of the NFC North.
Walt's called it right about Stafford being an IR casualty with that POS OL. The only thing I'm looking forward to is if they finishe the season with Kellen Moore, or do they call me out of retirement? And with the first pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select... And whomever it is, it won't fulfill a need!

LOLOL at that saints being the sixth best team in the league??? They'll finish behind the falcons and panthers and probably behind the bucs. Payton's a good coach but Rob Ryan switching the d is gonna be an eff up. These rankings are garbage

Heart problem? Hayden has never had a heart problem, he had a freak vascular injury that has virtually no risk of recurrence. You pretending to hold a medical degree now Walt?

horribly disappointing to see the review of the steelers drop in ranking, and then to see in the explaination--tweets from a miami dolphin, with questionable homosexual theory on what it is to be a gay person choice/birth...bad topic, on a player not even on the steelers roster for this year-with zero x and o explaination of the drop in rankings, on a team that lost 8 games, 6 of them by 3 points or less..with draft picks at certain positions..just as a sports page, would have enjoyed seeing more football talk, than the politclly correct tired talk of the gay issue in sports...some of us--don't care for any topic that doesn't directly affect what happens of the field...I mean--this is a sports forum first right?

Or, they look at it as they have given him every option available to be successful and they let him prove he is worthless. Get a 1 or 2 pick again next year and move on with a top pick in a better QB class next year.

@WyattBurp I would be willing to bet that Henne starts for the Jags this season. Not that he is much better, but he does keep his eyes open. And, a reach prediction, the kid from Arizona is the 2nd string by week 1. New regime is determined to remove the mistakes of the old. Blackmon is talented so he will get a pass for this BS, but he is going to lose out on his next contract for it.

Did you consider that maybe the Eagles brought in Chip Kelly because he interviewed well and there wasn't a lot of good head coaching candidates available? Another thing to consider, maybe Chip Kelly is smart enough to know how to run more than one offense.
The fact that you think he's arrogant for refusing to explain what offense he'll run says a lot about you and your inflated sense of self worth. Why the hell would he give information that other teams could use against him when they play the Eagles? Because Walter of walterfootball will be salty if he doesn't? I'm also curious who you think Chip Kelly should have found to be his QB? Carson Palmer? Matt Flynn? Geno Smith? He's playing the hand the previous regime dealt him right now, he can't magic a QB into existence that will solve all the Eagles woes.

Walt, you really need to get off Aqib Talib's dick. Ask any bucs fan, he wasn't that good. Did you see what Hicks did to him? I'm glad they disposed of him because when you need him most he's nowhere to be found, oh wait there is only proof of that in the playoffs and just about any game he plays in or is suspended from.
