The Game. Edge: None.
Outcomes of preseason games rarely have anything to do with the talent on the respective teams, since the majority of the games are played by second-, third- and fourth-stringers.
Some coaches care about winning preseason games, while others do not. Thus, betting on coaches with great preseason records is an easy way to make money.
Here are recent NFL Betting Trends: Preseason Records for every coach in the NFL.

As I discussed last week, Chan Gailey doesn't care about winning preseason games. Jim Schwartz does, so he may want to finish strong with a victory after losing at Oakland this past weekend.

Mike McCarthy doesn't give a damn about Week 4 preseason games. I'm not sure if Romeo Crennel does, but he may want to end the exhibition on a high note after getting blown out against Seattle.

I cannot believe the Eagles are favored by this much. Andy Reid completely mails in the last preseason game every year, so there's no reason the spread should be this high. Rex Ryan, meanwhile, will want his team to get into the end zone. This is my August NFL Pick of the Month because this line is so ridiculous.

Mike Tomlin is insane and loves to win these meaningless preseason games. Ron Rivera doesn't seem to care one way or the other. I wish this spread weren't larger than a field goal, but Pittsburgh is still worth a moderately sized wager; Tomlin has won all five of his Week 4 preseason games by 16, 16, 11, 3 and 16 ponts, so odds say that he's going to cover.

Waiting to see if NHL Anaheim coach plays his A goalie today as opposed to his B goalie. Seem to me like a no-brainer, but I'm still trying to learn the deal on this NHL thing. In NBA today: Three team eight point teaser with: Mavericks +5.5, Warriors +6, Thunder -1.5. With the exception of finding out who the goaltender will be today for Anaheim, that's going to be it for me. BTW: Tony Parker (Spurs) OUT for tonights game. GLTA.

Good night last night as I not only get my 3 TEAM TEASER WIN, but also got a NBA par win with Heat and Over 198 in Utah/Clippers. Did not post this yesterday, but after some re-thinking on NHL, I played a par yesterday with: Kings and Blues and got it. For today in NHL: I'm going with: Bruins and Chicago in a three team open par. Back later with some NBA. Congrats to all winners and GLTA.

Tough day in NBA for me last night as I lose two -three team pars in the middle spot with the Spurs losing late in OT to the Warriors. Hedged against the Spurs in each one of my pars and when the dust had settled I had a Push evening. Today in the NBA for me: Three team par with: Miami -7.5, Utah/Clippers Over 198, one open spot. A three team 8 point teaser with: Denver -1.5, Pacers +3.5, Hawks +12.5. Congrats to winners and GLTA.

I am late as i am already on the OVER 124 in CLEMSON/MARYLAND which is lookin great so far. Heres a sample size for SAGGY SACK SATURDAY
WAKE FOREST +7.5 (pretty strong at HOME. Awful on the ROAD. They should be up for the suddenly struggling CANES. Dint be shocked if WF pulls the upset. The CANES have neem flirting with losses lately) CAL -1 (i hope this isnt. Trap, because i LOVE the BERKLEY BEARS. They keep winning and are basically a PICK EM against a crap team that doesnt play well at HOME. STANFORD was a bigger favorite @-2;5 a few nights ago. And now the better/hotter BAY AREA team is only -1? CAL should win this by 6-8 pts) GEORGETOWM +7 (i must be missing something, but why are the SIZZLIN HOYAS getting no respect? They were a +6 against CINCI on the ROAD last week and i love me some CUSE, but G-TOWN has a legit shot at winning this game SU. They beat CINCI as a BIG DOG on the ROAD. I know CINCI is nowhe near the caliber of CUSE. But G-TOWN is solid. If my memory serves me correct they are great ATS as a DOG of 4 or more this season) NC ST/UNC OVER 159 (thats a large total. So there can be no room for error......and there shouldnt be. UNC is really playin good ball. I was hoping they wouldnt be such big favorites (-5.5). Too much for my liking against a NC ST team that is struggling and has done so all season on the ROAD. But enough about that. These pricks can score. The END. Both teams should visit the 80's producing an OVER) FLORIDA -18 (they are gonna roast some HOG today. These GATORS havent forgot when they visited ARK a few wks back and got their $H!T PUSHED IN........BUG TIME BRO!!! Revenge is not the only factor here. Homecourt has been BIG TIME for THE GATORS and they are def the cream of the crop in the SEC. This one will get ugly as ARK struggles on the ROAD. They may be down 20-5 before the 1st TV timeour) TEXAS A&M -1.5 (AGGIES playimg solid ball and homecourt should be more than enouh to take down the VOLS) MAPLE QUEEFS ML -115 (playing good puck and have been solid on the ROAD. Not sold on OTTAWA) COYOTES ML -120 (OILERS suck. The end) Thats all for now. GL fellas and let that BALLSACK SAG on this wonderful SATURDAY

FINGER-A-FRIEND FRIDAY was a success tonight as i hit 4 out of 5. Lets take a look.
Loss- BUTLER - 3 (ohhhhh these pricks really let me down. Cruising in the 1st half they came out in the 2nd half an gave it away as soon as the ball was inbounded. Had numerous times to take reblead back down the stretch but refused. My only hicup of the night) WIN - blazers/la lakers OVER 203 (these lakers cant cover and i had a feeling as i sttated in my write-up. But. The pricks can score as this thing came in OVER early. Nice cap as these meetings continue to go over) WIN - BULLS -6.5 (cake walk as CHI rips the cats by 30) WIN - RAPTORS +2 (won outright as they continue to win an NY continues to lose) WIN - Sabers/Canucks UNDER 5 (1-0 Canucks as this was te PORKY PIG of the night) Sitting at 13-7-1 for the week. Getting hammered currently so hopefully i can post 2morrow. Bet of luck pals |
