Arizona Cardinals (1-2) at Tennessee Titans (1-1)
Line: Titans by 3.

Thursday, 8:00 ET

The Game. Edge: None.
Outcomes of preseason games rarely have anything to do with the talent on the respective teams, since the majority of the games are played by second-, third- and fourth-stringers.

Some coaches care about winning preseason games, while others do not. Thus, betting on coaches with great preseason records is an easy way to make money.

Here are recent NFL Betting Trends: Preseason Records for every coach in the NFL.

***

Ken Whisenhunt doesn't put too much stock into these preseason games. He's coming off a win, so maybe he'll take it easy. Mike Munchak, on the other hand, has shown that he cares more. There's not a big sample size though, which is why I'm making this a small play.

The Eagles just played Monday in what was their dress rehearsal. They'll be sitting their starters. The Browns, as a young team, can't really afford to do that. I think that gives them an edge, especially considering that they're coming off much more rest.

The Patriots sat all of their starters Monday night, so they're going to treat this game as their dress rehearsal. Greg Schiano hasn't shown that he cares about preseason contests, so New England might be able to win easily.

Mike Tomlin loves winning preseason games. Chan Gailey doesn't. The one thing keeping me from making this a huge play is that Gailey is 2-0 in Week 3. However, he beat Marvin Lewis and Jack Del Rio in those contests, and those coaches definitely didn't take their matchup as seriously as Tomlin will.

If all the money is going to the Saints why are u predicting the line to go down 2 points?

Another key loss in that game was Fairly. Go back and watch the 1st qter of that game where he played very very well against the best set of g's in the league. Then he re injured his foot. Delmas should also be back. The Smith injury seemed big at the time because he played so well for that split second of the season, but that had more to do with the Panthers and Packers D....he has reverted back to his average self. Not predicting a lions W but i think this team can play with anyone now

Don't forget Delmas should be back. Their pass D fell off considerably during his absence.

    NFL

    Steelers - 9

This has to be some kind of joke. Not that I think the steelers is a strong bet because the line is so big but 7 units on the broncos is a joke.
I love Tebow, his attitude towards the game is incredible. Kid has heart.

    A) Unfortunately he has 0 playoff experience/ Going up against a veteran QB.

    B) Everyone has the broncos figured out; stop the run and make them throw the ball. Unfortunately this kid will not be able to do that when going up against the #1 defense for pts allowed (14.2) #1 for yards allowed (271.8) and #1 against the pass (171.9).

I see Tebow choking here as this one is for all the marbles constanly playing catch up.

No way are the broncos a bet here, let alone a 7 unit selection.

On the other hand I like the bengals against the texans. And I feel for the texans because unfortunately yates will not be pulling out the W here. Texans looked like superbowl contenders with shaub in but yates is not shaub. He has struggled ever since he came in.

    Bengals +3
    Under 59 lions/saints
    Giants -3
    Steelers - 7.5

kinda funny(not really) how the cuse scandal doesnt get half the coverage the penn state one did/does. Couldnt have anything to do with Cuse being one of the top broadcasting schools in the country could it? Maybe because 1/4 of our employees are alums from Cuse....na couldnt be. Nice to see school pride over a childs rape

From the Marc Lawrence Mid-week newsletter: NFL Wild Card round teams off a straight up loss as a favorite are 20-10-1 ATS.

    That'd be DEN.

I liked them anyways getting +8, just a little extra ammo for the gun.
