Washington Redskins (0-0) at Buffalo Bills (0-0)
Line: Redskins by 2.

Thursday, 7:00 ET

The Game. Edge: None.
Outcomes of preseason games rarely have anything to do with the talent on the respective teams, since the majority of the games are played by second-, third- and fourth-stringers.

Some coaches care about winning preseason games, while others do not. Thus, betting on coaches with great preseason records is an easy way to make money.

Here are recent NFL Betting Trends: Preseason Records for every coach in the NFL.

***

Chan Gailey doesn't care about Week 1 of the preseason. His team has scored 20 points in two contests, including a 42-17 blowout loss to the Redskins in 2010. Washington will want Robert Griffin to gain some confidence, so Mike Shanahan may play him more than Gailey will Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Mike Tomlin is one of the most intense coaches in football. He really wants to win these preseason games. Andy Reid, meanwhile, usually doesn't give a damn unless it's Week 3.

UPDATE: I'm dropping this down to one unit because the Eagles may want to win this game for their coach.

I'm adding this pick as of Thursday morning. Mike Smith doesn't care much about the non-Week 3 preseason games; he's a combined 3-9 in Preseason Weeks 1, 2 and 4. John Harbaugh, meanwhile, is 10-2 in exhibition contests the past three years.

    Walt rules.

Where else can you get on someone's board and insult him unmercifully and not get blocked? He also embraces his hate-mail. I think he's pretty cool for that ..

"The Broncos have two divisional battles coming up after this meaningless non-conference tilt. "

There isn't any such thing as a meaningless game for a playoff-caliber team, Walt.

But there is such a thing as a meaningless FG with 20 seconds left. F You, Falcons.

Ok, here are the rest of my NBA plays for tonight...

7:35; I like the Pacers, I do, but I like them a lot better with Granger in the line up then I do with him out. Atlanta lost their home opener and I don't see them going 0-2 at home to start the season. Not to mention that Orlando likes to beat up on the Pacers winning the last 3 games. I wouldn't have posted this with out Josh Smith but he slated to start so I'll lay the small 4 as the Hawks win by 10. 101-91.

8:00; same concept in Houston as the Rockets host the Nuggets. Why is Vegas in love with the Nuggets? They've lost all three of the road games and where as the Nuggets are over rated the Rockets are under rated. Rockets have also lost their first home game and do not look ready to go 0-2 there. Small number and great value.

I have to go now but I might have some more good plays tonight so stay tuned and as always good luck!

Of course you picked against Atlanta. You are so biased your willing to continue losing even though you're 1-7 picking the Falcons. Dumbass.

Real real quick with one early NBA play before I write the others. 6-6 so far this season in the Association and obviously that stinks but it's early and it's time to get some distance over .500.

7:05, In the beginning of the season I was a big fan of the Suns but they have really showed me nothing so far this season. However with how bad they've been playing they are STILL favored against the Bobcats on the road, that should tell you something. I think they get well against a Bobcats team without Henderson who is out 4 to 6 weeks. Ben Gordon and Walker and Sessions could all be the same guy in different uniforms. That's a lot of shots being hosted from everywhere with nothing that exciting in the middle. I think Gortat goes nutty and the Suns win 99-93. Lay the 3.

    Early NBA pick:

    Suns -3

Good luck and I'll be back in a few with some more.
