Philadelphia Eagles (0-0) at Pittsburgh Steelers (0-0)
Line: Steelers by 3.

The Game. Edge: None.
Outcomes of preseason games rarely have anything to do with the talent on the respective teams, since the majority of the games are played by second-, third- and fourth-stringers.

Some coaches care about winning preseason games, while others do not. Thus, betting on coaches with great preseason records is an easy way to make money.

Here are recent NFL Betting Trends: Preseason Records for every coach in the NFL.

I was cautious last week because of the lockout, but I think things should be back to normal now. Mike Tomlin looked like he was going to cry after the loss to Washington. He's one of the most intense people on the planet, so I have to believe that he'll rebound with a victory over Andy Reid, who doesn't care about the preseason.

The Colts don't give a damn about these silly preseason games. Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky should combine for half-a-dozen interceptions, as Mike Shanahan is going to put extra effort into figuring out who is quarterback is going to be.

Preseason games are beneath Todd Haley, who has an abysmal 1-8 record in exhibition contests. After looking terrible in Week 1, the Ravens will look to prove that they aren't completely inept. I'd bet more units if this line wasn't so high.

Good evening passengers, have to do this as quickly as possible as I'm running out of time here so let me jump right into it. I'm going to post 3 early NBA plays and a college grid iron play. Let's go...

7pm; 6-8 so far in the NBA this season and that obviously isn't getting it done but I feel pretty good about tonight and we start in Orlando as the Magic host the Nets. The Nets are one of the most over rated teams in the NBA so far on this young season and I'm going to fade then until Vegas figures it out. There is no way that a team that is 10-0 in their last 10 and 17 of 20 vs. the Nets should be getting points at home. Plus the Nets aren't playing well, trap game perhaps but I'll take the 3 as the Magic win outright 101-90.

7pm; Milwaukee should have no problem putting up a lot of points tonight and its not as if their defense is lock down tight. I think the Bucks win pretty easily but I also see them in the 110 range so I think over 191 is the right play.

7pm; the Knicks average 104 points a game and the Mavs average 108. Both of these teams should be close to this even with the D the Knicks have been playing so how this O/U is not at 200 is also strange to me. Take the over as well.

    Early Friday NBA picks:

    Magic +3
    Bucks/Washington over 191
    Mavs/Knicks over 197 1/2

My college grid iron play is the Pitt Panthers giving 3 1/2 to the UConn Huskies. The Panthers are way better then the Huskies and although this is a let down game I don't see it mattering much. Pitt lost to Syracuse by one in the Carrier Dome, UConn lost by 30!! in the Carrier Dome. Pitt beat Temple by 30 at home, UConn LOST to Temple by 3 at home. I know that it's usually not a good idea to use this sort of capping but I don't see any way the Panthers don't win this game by 9+. In fact I see something like 21-6. Lay the points.

    Friday College recap:

    Panthers -3 1/2

Good luck to everyone tonight and barring me getting really busy, I'll be back with some late NBA plays.

Two team Parlay of the Year....

    Alabama -13.5 vs. Tex A&M
    Col St. +1 vs. UNLV

Tex A&M is 2-27 ats when losing as a road dog (0-15 when coming off a win).

UNLV has lost last 20 road games and 46 of last 49. Why are they favored?

Yes I like to use 60% as a bench mark of success and although I'm only 6 games over for the entire season I personally think it's been successful, why? Because it's better then being 6 games under and down bank roll. Anytime you can have a + symbol in front of a number it is a success no? Is it where I want it to be, no, not at all but you can't get to 60% without being 55% first. Not to mention, it's free and as always you can totally ignore my posts and plays.

    @VirginX

Stay tuned, I'll have something shortly.

For all of the guys that don't like to play NBA I know there is a NBA section but I've been working this thread for a while and don't like to switch back and fourth until way after the NFL is over.

I should have let you guys know but here was my reasoning. First half was because in the last couple games jaguars scored 0 points in the first half. They only covered because of MJD. No MJD means easy for the colts to win.

    1st half under 21

    Walter,

I quoted your crazy trends on the Tennessee game on my blog, I hope that's ok. I tried to format and quote it properly. Let me know if you have issues with it.

So far this is what I have in NFL: Three team par with Indy -3 (won), Denver -3.5, Seattle -6.5. Have a 5 team 14 point teaser going with: Jacksonville +17.5 (won), Carolina +18, Saints +16.5, Miami +8, one open spot. Three team 10 point teaser with Patriots -1, Niners -1.5, Steelers -2. Leaning real good in starting up a 10 point three team Total play in the NFL. The three contest I'm looking at are: Saints/Falcons Over, Patriots/Bills Over, Chargers/Bucs Over. That's it right now, GLTA.

Wow you have no clue what's going on. Anthony davis the weak link? He made pro football focus's all pro team and if you ever watched a 49er game when they weren't the only game on or a least read an article or two you would know that almost all of the sacks alex smith has taken are either coverage or because he refused to through the ball. He stated on numerous occasions that he should have gotten rid of the ball and not taken the sack and that it was his fault not the line.
