Matt Weller, K, Ohio
Height: 6-0. Weight: 203. Projected Round (2013): 7-FA. 3/9/13: Weller's accuracy remained shaky in 2012. The senior was 23-of-31 this season. He had three misses against Norfolk State. Weller's leg strength caused him to attempt longer kicks, but he needs to kick well in the team workouts.
9/3/12: Weller was good on 25-of-34 attempts as junior last season. He made 11 of 14 field goal attempts in 2010, including a long of 51 yards. It was a disappointing season after a strong freshman campaign that saw him make 21 of 29 field goals. Weller needs to show better accuracy to get drafted in 2013.
I think you are missing one BIG cut and that's Jason Peters. He takes too many penalties and is being paid way too much (cap number is $11.7 million I believe). Cutting clears $10.7 million in cap space. I just don't think they can keep him around with that cap number.
PIT= NE D has not gone up an offense even close to this, Bell is awesome and if NE stacks the box then it goes to Brown and PITS D will pressure Brady Big, all day and this kid Dupree OLB who started week 14 and has 4.5 sacks looks like a winner!
This is the first draft that I actually have taken time scouting and looking into the players and teams. But again, it is still really early and a lot more scouting and more things need to happen in the process in order to get me a basis to go on. In this particular mock I predicted the picks based on where I think the SHOULD go not what I think they WILL Do. I will do drafts like those but not in this one.
