Team needs and outstanding trades have been taken into account with this mock draft.

  1. Boston Celtics: Kelly Olynyk, 7-0, C, Gonzaga, Jr.
    The Celtics could use a big man inside, and the "Dazed and Confused" looking big man made huge strides with his game this year. He is a skilled, but not very physical, seven-footer.


  2. Atlanta Hawks: Gorgui Dieng, C, Louisville, 6-11, Jr.
    The Hawks will be going through a roster transition this offseason and will likely take the best available player at this option. Gorgui Dieng could add some frontcourt depth alongside Al Horford.


  3. Atlanta Hawks: Giannas Antetokounmpo, SF, Greece, 6-9, 1994
    With Josh Smith likely leaving via free agency, the Hawks could use an athletic forward, which Giannis Adetokunbo certainly is. He also has a unique skill set for his size as he could play a point forward-type position and might end up being taken in the late lottery.

  4. Cleveland Cavaliers: Steven Adams, C, Pittsburgh, 7-0, Fr.
    Steven Adams turned some heads at the NBA Draft Combine and has the ideal size for an NBA big. He still needs time to develop before he'll be ready to be a real contributor, but could be worth a roll of the dice for the Cavaliers with their second first-round pick.

  5. Chicago Bulls: Jeff Withey, C, Kansas, 7-0, Sr.
    I think the Bulls either look for a shooting guard or depth inside, and take the best available of those options. Jeff Withey is a great shot blocker and Chicago loves defensive-minded players. He could help replace what the Bulls lost in Omer Asik last offseason.


  6. Utah Jazz: Mason Plumlee, PF, Duke, 7-0, Sr.
    Since the Jazz addressed its need for a point guard with its lottery selection, the team turn its attention to frontcourt depth since Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap are both free agents.

    Utah owns the Warriors' pick (via the Brooklyn/Marcus Williams trade) from the Deron Williams trade. Go here to see all of the outstanding 2013 NBA Draft Trades.


  7. Brooklyn Nets: Tim Hardaway Jr., SG, Michigan, 6-6, Jr.
    The Nets need depth all across the board and will look at the best available player who can provide a punch off the bench. Tim Hardaway Jr. doesn't wow in any particular area of his game, but he is a solid all-around player.




  8. Indiana Pacers: Dennis Schroeder, PG, Germany, 6-2, 1993
    Drafting a power forward makes sense since David West is in the final year of his deal, but it will be hard to pass on adding a talented point guard like Dennis Schroeder. He really turned heads at the Nike Hoops Summit. Schroeder could easily be a late lottery pick, so this would be a great grab at No. 23.


  9. New York Knicks: Mouhammadu Jaiteh, PF/C, France, 6-11, 1994
    Although Jaiteh is a project big man, he's worth taking at this point.


  10. Los Angeles Clippers: Tony Mitchell, F, North Texas, 6-9, Soph.
    The Clippers really need to add some froncourt depth, and though Tony Mitchell doesn't bring a ton of physicality inside, he is a terrific athlete and rebounder.


  11. Minnesota Timberwolves: Lucas Noguiera, C, Brazil, 7-0, 1992
    Having gone with a wing in the lottery, the Timberwolves turn their attention to adding some size inside. Lucas Noguiera has been on scouts' radars for quite some time due to his size and athleticism.

    Minnesota owns the Grizzlies' first-round pick (via the Rockets/Shane Battier trade) from the Donatas Motiejunas trade. Go here to see all of the outstanding 2013 NBA Draft Trades.




  12. Denver Nuggets: Reggie Bullock, G/F, North Carolina, 6-7, Jr.
    With Andre Iguodala holding a player option on his contract and Corey Brewer a free agent, the Nuggets should look to add some insurance on the wing. Reggie Bullock has great size for his position and can stroke it from distance.


  13. San Antonio Spurs: Sergey Karasev, SF, Russia, 6-7, 1993
    The Spurs could use depth on the wing or inside. Segey Karasev is a crafty scorer who can light it up from deep and would perfectly onto the Spurs roster.


  14. Oklahoma City Thunder: Jamaal Franklin, SG, San Diego State, 6-5, Jr.
    The versatile Aztec would add insurance on the wing if Kevin Martin leaves via free agency.


  15. Phoenix Suns: Ricky Ledo, G/F, Providence, 6-6, Fr.
    The Suns add another wing player with plenty of potential. Because he was ineligible, Ricky Ledo didn't play a single game for the Friars this season, but he is athletic and has great size for his position.

What part do you not understand? Maybe the part where I clearly said their first two picks are good and make sense (that includes #3 overall) but the reasoning for their 3rd pick doesn't make sense.

Maybe you should be less of an illiterate freaking tard next time.

as a celtics fan, i want to see them draft one of them sg's like the guy a couple down below me said...i love john jenkins, terrance ross also, i think wroten could work too, i don't really like the bigs in this draft the centers are ok, if they take a center with one of the picks, thats fine, but not one of these small pf's, we got jajuan last year, let him step up and show what he got....the one player i love out of this draft tho is bradley beal, if the celtics could somehow package paul pierce and picks for that #2 pick, they'd be getting a future superstar in beal

Whoever pick's up Bradley Beal will be getting a hell of a player. I believe he will be an all star within 2 or 3 seasons. May not a as athletic, but I also believe he may have a D-Wade impact. Kendall Marshall would be an ideal pick up for the Hornets. Somebody who can feed the ball to Ant David and help develop his offensive game.

As a Celtics fan, I'd like them to draft Terrence Ross, Doron Lamb or John Jenkins because I think Ray Allen will retire and they'll need a sharp-shooting SG off the bench behind Avery Bradley. Then I think KG will retire, leaving them to either draft Andrew Nicholson and sign Roy Hibbert or draft Meyers Leonard and sign Ersan Ilyasova. I really doubt they'll draft a SF though, with Pierce and possibly re-signing Jeff Green and Mickael Pietrus.

What are you talking about? The reasoning is that Kidd-Gilchrist is the best player available and even though SF isn't neccesarily a big need, the Wiz should just worry about finding talent. What didn't you understand?

Excellent first two picks with great reasoning for them.

The 3rd pick, while really nothing more than a throwaway, has awful reasoning behind it. Even if they amnesty Blech they've still got 4 guys who are currently ahead of him on the depth chart that can play the 4 or 5 spots (and Booker can play some 3). If anything, they'll just give a full year deal to James Singleton who averaged 8.2 points and 6.8 rebounds in 21.8 minutes during his 12 games after coming up from the D-league.

The GS Warriors are interested in one of the Jones boys, Terrence or Perry, for SF. They would prefer others but do not want to pay the price.
