Here's a little theory I have about why big time franchise players haven't been traded since Melo was one. Look at what happened to each team afterwards: the Nuggets were really good for a couple of years but have consistently been better than the Knicks since then. No team wants to trade for them now! They'd rather try their luck in getting them as a free agent

@ASaintsFan ok that excludes Demarcus Cousins but that trade is an exception as the Kings are not your standard NBA franchise and the Pelicans didn't have to give up as much as they should have for him

I need some help guys. Me and a few buddies of mine are having an animal kingdom draft - we're trying to build the perfect football team, but with animals. I have the second pick and I'm hoping that the tiger doesn't come off the board at #1. (I like the tiger as an edge-rusher; great strength/speed numbers, highly aggressive, incredible change-of-direction skills, etc.) I've listed the best animal/position matches I could come up with for building my team, but I know I'm forgetting about a few...and I'm really stuck for a QB. I want an intelligent QB, but most of the highly intelligent animals (chimps, dolphins, etc.) wouldn't be able to see over my O-line. Any ideas?

QB Dolphin

RB Horse

#1WR Elk

#2WR Gazelle

TE Ostrich

LT Grizzly Bear

LG Black Bear

C Rhino

RG Ox

RT Polar Bear

Interior DL Elephant

EDGE Tiger

ILB Silverback Gorilla

OLB Panther

#1CB Lion

#2CB Wildebeest

S Gray Wolf

S Hunting Dog

K Mule

P Kangaroo

KR Cheetah

What's with the Nkemdiche hate? You're comparing his pass rushing numbers to defensive ends but he plays DT at Ole Miss. He'll play 2/3 technique at the next level and his disruptiveness and ability to shed will make him a massive handful.

@Anonymously  umm last I checked 90% of good teams don't draft in the teens so your "bad teams" logic is not logic.

@Walt I could smell Derek Anderson in Anonymously's comment...hmm I wonder...

Khalil Mack and Kendell Beckwith in the same linebacking corps. Del Rio and Ken Norton Jr. could get creative with that.

Kendell Beckwith(6'2 252) is an interesting prospect. He literally could play any LB position in a 4-3 or 3-4 and even might have the potential to play sub package pass rusher. Simply put, NFL defensive coordinators would love to get their hands on him. If he comes out then I hope he gets drafted by a team with a creative defensive coordinator, because that defensive coordinator would have a day with what they'd do with him.

Keep an eye on Kendell Beckwith(6'2 252). He could definitely get into the late 1st-early 2nd round range. NFL teams will love his versatility. He can play ILB, OLB in both a 4-3 and 3-4, and even DE in sub packages if his pass coverage as a LB turns out to be a liability.

I think Paxton Lynch's debaclation against a quality defense in Auburn yesterday is going to cost him severely in the draft.  2.9 YPA?  Yikes...

@Knightro829 Derek Carr struggled in his last bowl game before the draft against USC. Got drafted barely after the first round and turned out just fine.

@Cam And "Riley the racist receiver. Instead of all those r's how about he uses the one Riley would actually chuckle at: "Riley Kkkooper."
