Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Sam Darnold sounds like a lock to be the Browns first selection. While nothing is ever 100% until it happens its hard to see who else would go here as of now.

2. Giants: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

The Giants are looked to be a team to trade out, but often teams ask too much in return to trade up into the top three picks. If the Giants stay people think quarterback, but instead the Giants stick to the big board and grab what most people see as the top prospect.

3. Jets: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

The Jets moved up to get a player who can impact the team for a long time moving forward and its most likely a quarterback. Josh Rosen is the most polished passer in the class and is able to make all the NFL throws.

4. Bills: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

TRADE!!! The Bills have the ammo needed to move up and get the quarterback of the future and the belief is they will do it. Browns could look to move back and grab ammo for this year and future. Josh Allen has all the potential to be a elite quarterback.

5. Dolphins: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

TRADE!!! The Dolphins have done way to much homework on Baker Mayfield not to try and move up for him. In this case it happens at pick five after the other top three quarterbacks all have been selected already. Watch out Ryan Tannehill.

6. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

Bradley Chubb was seen to be a top pick for the colts when they had pick three. Now the team after trading with the Jets and gaining ammo later in the draft the team could still walk away day one with their top choice in player.

7. Buccaneers: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

Usually you don't see safeties fall in the top ten, but this year their is two safeties who have a chance to be top picks. Minkah Fitzpatrick is commonly mocked as the safety to come off the board first, but rumor is some teams prefer Derwin James.

8. Bears: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

Possibly the best prospect in the draft falls to pick eight and more then likely its the teams top prospect. The Bears need a left guard and Quenton Nelson fits perfectly not to mention the Bears hired Notre Dames offensive line coach for the sam position.

9. 49ers: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

The 49ers have been rebuilding there team through trades, FA, and the draft as good as any team in the NFL. Reuben Foster cannot seem to stay out of trouble already in his young career and could use additional help next to him anyway.

10. Raiders: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

The Raiders wanted to add corner help in FA, but came up short. Gareon Conley should be in for a big year and the Raiders could look for another Ohio corner to help him. Denzel Ward is the top corner and would be a good land in Oakland.

11. Broncos: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

TRADE!!! The Broncos could see Case Keenum as a couple year starter and ignore quarterback this year. Instead they move back in this mock and get a falling prospect who was seen as a top five player. Minkah Fitzpatrick would have great value here and would be a day one starter at safety and slot corner.

12. Browns: Vita Vea, Defensive Tackle, Washington

TRADE!!! The Browns traded away Danny Shelton this offseason. Vita Vea is a big boy who can take on blocks in the middle of the Browns defense and he also has good speed for his size to get to the quarterback and chance down runners.

13. Cowboys: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

TRADE!!! Not often you see division rivals make trades, but if it equals out value wise teams might look past the rival. In this case the Redskins gain multiple picks in exchange for this pick that the cowboys trade up for to get a new linebacker in Roquan Smith.

14. Packers: Joshua Jackson, Cornerback, Iowa

The Packers move on from Damarius Randell and now look at last years selection Kevin King and vet Tramon Williams to run the show. Adding someone else will be key and Joshua Jackson is a big body corner who has great instincts to get to the ball.

15. Cardinals: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

The Cardinals moved Jared Valdheer via trade and now are left with a hole at tackle let alone the offensive line needed help before that move. Mike McGlinchey is a day one starter and should easily be seen as the top prospect at tackle.

16. Ravens: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Ozzie Newsome couldn't end his time as the Ravens GM any better then this on draft day. The Ravens walk away with a Alabama player who happens to be a team need at receiver. Ridley is also easily the best at his position in this draft.
