No trades, my post free agency mock with 3 rounds

Round 1

1. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

If the Giants trade down with the Bills or Cardinals, this pick is a QB. But assuming there are no trades, there will be one of Allen, Darnold, and Rosen left at 4. Barkley would be taken by the Giants if not here

2. Giants: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

I'm sticking with the Giants here, and I think they go for Darnold instead of Rosen, despite the latter's comparisons to Eli. Darnold is the best QB with a better injury history than Rosen, and will replace Manning later in the year

3. Jets: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

This is a pick which makes all the sense. Rosen is the most pro ready guy, and the Jets NEED a pro ready guy. No more waiting for this impatient fanbase

4. Browns: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

This is a great fit for the team. Allen is not valued at #1, and is not as good as the previous two QBs. But, give him a year of good QB coaching, and he would explode as the starter in 2019

5. Broncos: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

I think the Broncos are going to stick with Keenum. Why? If he fails as a QB, they'll be back here picking in the Top 5, in time to get another QB such as Drew Lock or Jarett Stidham. Instead, they want to support Keenum and bolster their run game simultaneously

6. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

And the Colts get their guy all along, doing what the 49ers did last year with the Bears. Great pass rush help

7. Buccaneers: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

Denzel Ward and Derwin James are rising like crazy. But I think that this team goes with the centre fielder ball hawk rather than a box safety or corner. It's a more important position on defense

8. Bears: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

Free Agency was essentially Matt Nagy pumping Chicago's offense with steroids. My take- like steroids, the team will look great, but give it a few months and things will fall apart. Anyway, the defense will be addressed in the draft, and Edmunds has great upside

9. 49ers: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

This could be Ridley, but his stock has fallen. Yes, the Niners got Richard Sherman, but have you seen their other corners?? Roquan Smith would be another possibility to bolster this defense

10. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

This could be Derwin James, but I think there's a bigger need at linebacker. Smith is really overlooked in this draft, in my opinion

11. Dolphins: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

I don't want this to happen. Tannehill is really underappreciated, and I feel like this is cruel for both parties. Watch Miami fall apart this year, and see Gase without his job by 2019

12. Bills: Will Hernandez, Offensive Guard, UTEP

The Bills may be kicking themselves here for missing out on their QB. They won't go for Lamar based on precedent- running QBs don't fit their scheme. Instead they pick a really talented lineman in a safe pick

13. Redskins: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

This used to be a reach for James, now this is a sign that he's fallen... but the Skins need a solid safety to anchor their defense moving forwards

14. Packers: Jaire Alexander, Cornerback, Louisville

This is really going to come down to who the Packers see as the 2nd best CB between Alexander, Jackson, and Hughes, but they need to replace Randall badly

15. Cardinals: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

He's not the mold of Sam Bradford... or Mike Glennon... but he's going to lead the Cardinals and revolutionise the offense in 2019

16. Ravens: Connor Williams, Offensive Tackle, Texas

This is a toss up between Williams and McGlinchey, much like the Packers at 14, it's a choice of best player at the position. I think Gesicki would be great here, but he will go later on. In a few years, when NFL Network revisits this draft, Gesicki will be picked much higher
