Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

The Browns have made tons of positive moves this offseason. They go a reliable WR, a CB/FS, and a bridge QB. I thought Barkley was going to be the pick here until they signed Hyde. So the Browns snag the highest rated QB they have on their board and let him sit for a year or two.

2. Bills: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Giants receive:
12th overall pick
22nd Overall pick
53rd Overall Pick
55th Overall Pick
2019 2nd Round Pick

Bills receive:
2nd Overall Pick

The Bills have to trade up in the draft if they want any shot of getting the top QBs. Which means they are desperate enough to overpay to get him. But the Bills manage to get their QB of the future while giving up only a 2nd round pick next year,

3. Jets: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

If you look at my last mock draft, I was almost correct with what I said the Jets would give up to move to #3. I think Barkley is a strong possibility with this pick but with the Jets giving two QBs one year contracts, they need a QB of the future.

4. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

The best thing possible for the Browns can happen if the Giants trade down in the draft. They get the QB of choice and the best RB prospect to come out in years. Even with Hyde, the Browns cannot afford to pass on Barkley twice.

5. Broncos: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

They Broncos have a lot of holes on their team but I think QB could be a possibility here. Someone to sit for a year or in case Case plays more like he did with the Rams rather than how he played with the Vikings. But I think they trust Keenum enough to use the selection on the best player available.

6. Cardinals: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Colts receive:
15th Overall Pick
47th Overall Pick
2019 1st Round Pick

Cardinals receive:
6th Overall Pick

The Cardinals only signed Bradford for 1 year meaning they are still in the market to get a guy for the future. Mayfield could take advantage of learning from Bradford, Fitz, and OC McCoy on how to better his game while he sits a year. And when he starts, he would have the best RB in the league and an O line the Cardinals are improving through free agency.

7. Buccaneers: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

The Bucs are iin the perfect spot in the draft. A spot where they can get a top 3 player who falls to them because of the QBs that teams are trying to trade up for.

8. Bears: Connor Williams, Offensive Tackle, Texas

The Bears have improve a ton this offseason. They got a young offensive mind for their HC, a young talent at WR, and keeping their young defense mostly intact. They can use this pick in many ways but upgrading the offensive line can help the Bears make a bigger jump.

9. 49ers: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

I think Fitzpatrick is a option for the 49ers to take here. But with Foster having problems off the field, they may want to get a super talented LB to replace him or to put next to him if he manages to change.

10. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

The Raiders have Obi who they spent a high draft pick on last year so I don't think Fitzpatrick is the guy here. Instead they go LB and get someone who can help them stuff the run.

11. Dolphins: Da'Ron Payne, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

The Dolphins cut Suh leaving a big hole in the middle of the D line. And with the Dolphins looking like they are just trying to get talent on their team they take Payne to help impact their future.

12. Giants: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

The Giants managed to get plenty of picks this draft so I think they go best player available per pick. And at 12 it is McGlinchey. Who they can put at RT or at G until Soldier leaves or retires.

13. Redskins: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

The Redskins missed out on Payne But with other needs they pick up the best coverage corner in this draft to help solidify their secondary. Especially after they traded away Fuller earlier in the off season.

14. Packers: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

The Packers let Morgan Burnett walk in free agency which creates a hole in the secondary. I see James as the next chancellor so this would be a major improvement for the packers secondary.

15. Colts: Marcus Davenport, Defensive End, Texas-San Antonio

Davenport is a tremendous talent that Colts should pick up instantly once they are on the clock. He has the ability to be a top pass rusher in the league and he fills a major hole for the colts.

16. Ravens: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

The Ravens went out and tried to sign many WRs to terrible contracts. But they managed to get Crabtree on a good contract. They still need another WR to help them be competitive. And with Ridley being from Alabama, the Ravens favorite school to draft from, they should make this the pick.
