Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

Arguably, Barkley is the best player in the draft in my opinion (Minkah Fitzpatrick is a close second). Giving the Brown's future QB the best offensive weapon in the draft is crucial: Rams, Jags, and Vikings all had mediocre QBs but top talented RB's (Gurley, Fournette, Cook/Mckinnon/Murray) that transformed those offenses into a top 10 offense. Not saying the Browns will be a great offense next year - need the right QB first - but this is a blueprint to be successful.

2. Giants: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

If Barkley was here, I would draft him. However, Josh Allen has potential to be the next Carson Wentz. Learning behind Eli Manning and eventually playing with OBJ will help Allen in the long run. Darnold is my top QB but Allen fits the Giants better

3. Jets: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

*TRADE*
I am predicting that Kirk Cousins will be a Vikings player next year. The Jets swoop in and grab the top rated QB in Darnold. Recent years have shown teams moving up to grab franchise QBs (Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Deshaun Watson, Patrick Maholmes) and I believe that the Jets pay a hefty fee for their franchise QB.

4. Dolphins: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

*TRADE*
The Dolphins have been aggressive in the past (Dion Jordan) when they traded up in the draft. The Dolphins are in love with Mayfield and I see them nabbing Mayfield ahead of Denver.

5. Broncos: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

Chubb has an incredible motor and is the best prospect from NC State since Mario Williams went number 1 overall.

6. Colts: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

*TRADE*
My top rated defensive player and second overall prospect. Colts are a winner here as they grab more picks but still get the player they want. The Colts are looking to revamp their secondary with Malik Hooker last season and now Minkah Fitzpatrick at the third overall pick. Nick Saban has raved about Fitzpatrick as one of the most cerebral players he has ever coached.

7. Buccaneers: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

Top rated corner with blazing speed...Ohio State coaches said he was the best athlete they have seen (including Marcus Lattimore) to come out of Ohio State.

8. Bears: Christian Kirk, Wide Receiver, Texas A&M

After Calvin Ridley performed poorly at the combine (aside from his 40 yard dash), Kirk is the top WR off the board to help Trubisky.

9. 49ers: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

Top OL in the draft and will protect Garropolo stay healthy. Last Notre Dame OG drafted in the first round was Zack Martin (best OG in the league)

10. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

Flagged with some injury concerns at the combine so his status is questionable here. Played extremely well in the college football playoffs for Georgia

11. Browns: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

*TRADE*
FINALLY...The Browns get a QB in the first round -- most polished QB in the draft and will help the Browns win sooner than later. Concerns about the passion for the game is worrisome but he is a talented player nonetheless.

12. Bengals: Connor Williams, Offensive Tackle, Texas

Offensive line help is a MUST for the Bengals. Williams has had injuries the past season at UT but the talent is there.

13. Redskins: Derrius Guice, Running Back, LSU

Alex Smith has been spoiled with Jamaal Charles and Kareem Hunt in KC. Give the Redskins a legitimate RB since Alfred Morris will help this Redskins offense. Haven't watched enough film on Guice yet.

14. Packers: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

Clay Mathews is turning 32 years old. Edmunds is a very good pass rusher. Potentially Marcus Davenport could be the pick here also

15. Cardinals: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

3rd worst rushing yards (without DJ I know) and gave up 3rd most sacks last year also.

16. Ravens: Courtland Sutton, Wide Receiver, SMU

Linked with Jarvis Landry talks shows that the Ravens are interested in a WR...Sutton is a big, strong WR who can create mismatches against smaller DBs
