Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Whoever Cleveland sees as QB 1 needs to be the pick here, they can't afford to take Barkley, & the watch their top 2 QBs go off the board before they get on the clock @ 4 again.

2. Giants: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

The Giants pass on a QB to try and make another Super Bowl run in the Eli Manning era. Barkley is a generational talent, and will take a ton of pressure off of Eli. Establishing a ground game will help take attention away from studs OBJ & Evan Engram.

3. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

The Colts couldn't get any pressure on opposing passers last year, Chubb gives them juice off of the edge, as well as an immediate impact on run support. The Colts may try to trade back with a QB needy team, but if not they can't afford to pass on Chubb.

4. Browns: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

Ohio State is a defensive back factory, and people around the program are saying that Denzel Ward is the most athletic prospect in years, that includes last years DROY Marshon Lattimore. Ward projects as a true shutdown corner, and coming off a blazing 4.32 40 in Indianapolis, it will be hard for the Browns to pass on the upside here.

5. Broncos: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

The Broncos feel they can still be contenders with an elite defense and established playmakers in Thomas & Sanders. They take the most pro ready quarterback to provide an instant impact from the Semien/Lynch/Brock fiasco that crippled them last year.

6. Jets: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Broadway Baker would be an instant culture changer for a Jets team looking for their Identity. While lots of people question his character, There is no questioning his accuracy and playmaking ability he demonstrated at Oklahoma.

7. Buccaneers: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

The Bucs are running to the podium for Minkah. Fitzpatrick instantly gives them playmaking ability at multiple spots in the secondary.

8. Bears: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

The bears take the best player available, boosting the offensive line will be crucial if Trubisky is going to take the next step forward. They are desperate for WR help, but I think 8 is too early for anyone from this group.

9. 49ers: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

The 49ers needed LB help even before Reuben Foster got into trouble. Tremaine Edmunds is a freak athlete, and at 19 years old he is just tapping into his potential.

10. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

Every year it seems Oakland gets mocked a ILB early, is this finally the year they invest in the position?? Smith is a rangy tackle machine who will be an energizer bunny for a defense that got dominated last year.

11. Dolphins: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

Adam Gase hand picks his own rocket armed QB (Deep down we all know he missed Cutler). This perfect situation allows Allen to sit behind Tannehill for a year or two before becoming the face of the franchise.

12. Bengals: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

Cincinnati can't afford to take anything but the highest rated O line at this position.

13. Redskins: Vita Vea, Defensive Tackle, Washington

Washington shores up their interior DL.

14. Packers: Marcus Davenport, Defensive End, Texas-San Antonio

Clay Matthews only has 1 year guaranteed left on his deal, the Packers need to find someone to get pressure off of the edge after investing high picks on the secondary in the past few drafts.

15. Cardinals: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

There is no way the Cardinals can go into the season with Gabbert/Stanton on top of the depth chart. Lamar Jackson has arguably the highest ceiling of any quarterback in this class, they will need to sign a bridge QB (McCown or Keenum type) to allow Lamar Jackson to develop his first few years in the League.

16. Ravens: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Another Draft, another Alabama player selected by Ozzie Newsome. This also fits a glaring need for the Ravens.
