Round 1

1. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

After receiving Tyrod Taylor, the Browns can't pass up on Barkley.

2. Giants: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

Nelson is perceived to have the most NFL potential in the class, so this wouldn't be a bad pick. However, I expect them to trade down and this selection will most likely be Sam Darnold.

3. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

Sure the Colts could use Barkley, but there is plenty of RB talent in the draft, and they don't want to miss out on this big Chubb.

4. Browns: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Highly doubt this will happen, but hey in this mock draft it happened.

5. Broncos: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

The Broncos signed Case Keenum and want Paxton Lynch to develop further, so they get their replacement for Talib.

6. Jets: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

The Jets QB battle will be between McCown and Bridgewater, so they will draft a target for one of them here.

7. Buccaneers: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

The Bucs get a steal to boost their secondary.

8. Bears: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

The Bears could also use a boost in their secondary.

9. 49ers: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

The 49ers may be flourishing offensively, but they should try to address defense in the first round if they expect to compete with the Rams high powered offense.

10. Raiders: Da'Ron Payne, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

The Raiders could use some defensive line help, and Vita Vea could also go here, but getting hurt running the 40 can lower your draft stock.

11. Dolphins: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

The Dolphins could use some upgrades at linebacker, and this would be a great pair with McMillan.

12. Bills: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

The Bills don't have a quarterback, and lucky for them Rosen, Allen and Mayfield are all on the board. Call me crazy, but Allen isn't ready to start an NFL game, and most NFL teams don't have Rosen very high.

13. Redskins: Jaire Alexander, Cornerback, Louisville

After losing 2 corners in the offseason, they can grab a replacement here.

14. Packers: Marcus Davenport, Defensive End, Texas-San Antonio

This guy has been getting a lot of buzz lately, potentially the biggest steal of the first round for Green Bay.

15. Cardinals: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

Arizona better draft some protection for injury prone Sam Bradford.

16. Ravens: Courtland Sutton, Wide Receiver, SMU

Some believe he is the best receiver in the draft, but he can certainly help turn Baltimore's offense around.
