Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

No change in pick

Just want to be smug and say I called this before anyone else... best player available for a terrible team

2. Giants: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

No change in pick

The Giants shouldn't pick this high again for a while. They may not be in rebuild but they need to find Eli's replacement. While Rosen fits the mold of Manning better, Darnold is the better overall QB

3. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

No change in pick

This could be Barkley, but Frank Reich has come over from Philly, where a 3-headed backfield of late draft picks dominated. Instead they need to get after Watson, Bortles, and Mariota with the best defensive player in the draft

4. Browns: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

No change in pick

Rumours are Josh Allen is Dorsey's draft crush. Maybe he goes #1 as a result, but I think they appreciate that he isn't valued that high. I promise things change soon

5. Broncos: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

Previous Pick: Quenton Nelson

In the ongoing debacle, Kirk Cousins seems to be heading to Minnesota. Therefore the Broncos open up a huge hole in their offense- QB - and Rosen, the most pro ready QB, fills that hole

6. Jets: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Previous Pick: Josh Rosen

QBs are going to fly off the board and the Jets are perfect for Mayfield. While previously they take Rosen for the security, here they take Mayfield instead

7. Buccaneers: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

Previous Pick- Minkah Fitzpatrick

After the flurry of QBs, a top 3 pick falls to Tampa and their woeful O-Line. A surefire hit for both passing and running games

8. Bears: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

Previous Pick- Calvin Ridley

This is an absolute steal, and a definite upgrade for this team. This is the upside of a rush on QBs when you don't need a QB

9. 49ers: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

Previous Pick: Roquan Smith

The Niners need to upgrade their CBs desperately. More than their LB corps. Ward is the BPA

10. Raiders: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

Previous Pick: Marcus Davenport

19, and 255LBs?? Al Davis is rubbing his hands in his grave... so much upside for this guy

11. Dolphins: Will Hernandez, Offensive Guard, UTEP

Previous Pick: Denzel Ward

This guy shoots up my draft board, and I think he fills a gap on the line. Or two. He's that big.

12. Bengals: Connor Williams, Offensive Tackle, Texas

No change in pick

The Bengals have a terrible O-Line. This hasn't changed post draft

13. Redskins: Vita Vea, Defensive Tackle, Washington

No change in pick

Vea would be higher if he finished his workout at the Combine. The Redskins could have a monster here

14. Packers: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

Previous Pick: Tremaine Edmunds

Smith may be better than Edmunds but goes second because he is a bit more boring. Still a great find for the Packers

15. Cardinals: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Previous Pick: Baker Mayfield

Looking at the roster, this team could be woeful in 2018. Here's to hoping that AJ McCarron/Teddy Bridgewater/whoever knows can be a good pick up to create an optimistic trio in partnership with Ridley and David Johnson

16. Ravens: Mike Gesicki, Tight End, Penn State

Previous Pick: Orlando Brown

Another flyer in this draft, Gesicki really could be a threat, and I think his Combine performance moved him undoubtedly into the first round

Picks 1-16
