Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

After his combine performance I am confident he will go #1 overall. Also, Barkley won't make it past the Giants so the Browns have to take him here to get him.

2. Giants: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

I don't think Mara fires last year's HC for benching Manning if he didn't think they could win one more Super Bowl with him. I think they'll pass on a QB and get the player that can help protect Manning and that is Nelson. The Giants need more protection for Eli and improve their running game and Nelson can do both. Nelson is probably the 3rd most talented player in the draft class behind Barkley and Chubb but gets selected here due to the desperation of the Giants to win one more Super Bowl.

3. Jets: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

The Jets moved up to take the best QB in this draft class and not settle for leftovers and I believe that QB is B. Mayfield. I don't know how the Jets feel about Mayfield when he's not throwing footballs at people, but for now I'll slot him here.

4. Browns: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

Josh Allen had a great combine which moves this stock up to this point. He is not an accurate QB but he has a very strong arm and Dorsey loves strong armed gunslingers (Farve, Mahomes).

5. Broncos: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Yes, I have Darnold being drafted much lower than nearly everyone. That's because he threw too many INT's and fumbled way too much last year. That leads to losses in the NFL. However, I think Elway will be won over by Darnold's mobility and decent accuracy.

6. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

I don't think Chubb falls this far in any other draft but teams really need QB's this year. Chubb a fantastic all around DE and the Colts need a pass rusher as bad as any team in the league.

7. Buccaneers: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

I'm not high on James as he allowed too many big plays last season. However, the Bucs could use him though as they continue to re-vamp their run defense.

8. Bears: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

Ward was not very productive from an INT standpoint which is why he is not being drafted higher, but he has good instincts and the speed that will complient the other members of the Bears defense.

9. 49ers: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

The 49ers have among the worst secondarys in the league. It doesn't matter where they stick Fitzpatrick, he will be an upgrade.

10. Raiders: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

Gruden is looking to upgrade the Raiders offense and the trenches are the best place to start. McGlinchey is equally adept at pass protection and run blocking. He can lose to speed rushers every now and then, so he likely starts is career on the right side and moves to LT later on in place of Penn.

11. Dolphins: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

R. Smith is a coverage LB who is also a fast, instinctive tackler who could be the last piece to making this defense elite again.

12. Bills: Mason Rudolph, Quarterback, Oklahoma State

I personally think Rudolph is the 2nd best QB in this draft class behind Mayfield. He has unbelievable downfield accuracy, touch, courage, buys time in the pocket and is willing to scramble. The Bills have to take a QB and will love this guy. I think L. Jackson will make a better WR, but the Bengals could use him as their long term solution at QB.

13. Redskins: Sony Michel, Running Back, Georgia

Washington can't get back to the playoffs without a better RB and Michel can be a 3 down RB.

14. Packers: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

Despite his commercial appeal Clay Matthews is not player he used to be. Edmunds is the type of physical prospect that goes high in the draft. He will fill in at ILB and OLB for the Packers.

15. Cardinals: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

Josh Rosen has the tools and charisma you look for in a QB. The problem is he hasn't won enough which reminds me of the knock on Jay Cutler in college. However, the Cardinals will take whichever QB falls to them.

16. Ravens: D.J. Moore, Wide Receiver, Maryland

The Ravens need WR help and Moore might be the most well rounded WR in this draft class.
