Round 1

1. Browns: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

With the signing of Carlos Hyde, there's no need to overthink this one. They choose a QB first and I'm guessing it is Darnold.

2. Broncos: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

They got Keenum on a 2 year deal. That means they're still in the market for a long term QB. I think they get aggressive and move up.

3. Bills: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

From the team that brought you Doug Flutie, welcome Baker Mayfield. I'm not saying their similar players exactly, it just seems fitting. AJ McCarron can start the season but Mayfield will take over eventually

4. Browns: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

I love this pick, pairing Chubb with Garrett.

5. Giants: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

This will come down to Barkley vs. Nelson. I think Gettleman will choose Nelson.

6. Jets: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

They've got Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater on the roster but they will probably still want to develop for the future.

7. Buccaneers: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

The Bucs need a RB and the best just fell into their laps.

8. Bears: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

Fitzpatrick dropped a bit but the Bears have a need.

9. 49ers: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

The Niners can use him on the edge as a pass rusher or inside as an off the ball LB since Reuben Foster doesn't seem like he can stay out of trouble and on the field. Ward was a possibility here but they just signed Richard Sherman.

10. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

He'll play ILB for them and give the defense a leader

11. Dolphins: Vita Vea, Defensive Tackle, Washington

They've got a Suh sized hole in the DL now

12. Colts: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

They trade back from #3 and still get a top 8 talent

13. Redskins: Da'Ron Payne, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

They are another team trying to improve up the middle of the defense.

14. Packers: Joshua Jackson, Cornerback, Iowa

They've had issues in the secondary for years

15. Cardinals: Connor Williams, Offensive Tackle, Texas

They need to improve on the OL

16. Ravens: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Ridley drops a bit and the Ravens pounce.
