Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

The Browns revolving door at QB continues with the most well-rounded QB in this draft class.

2. Giants: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

The Giants give Eli another year as a starter by passing on a QB early. They get him the most well-rounded backfield weapon he has ever had.

3. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

Indy adds a young, talented pass rusher to a defense largely void of talent and explosiveness.

4. Browns: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

Cleveland gets a versatile and instinctive athlete to add to a depleted secondary. Pairing Fitzpatrick with Peppers gives them incredible versatility and athleticism in the secondary.

5. Broncos: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

Denver grabs a top-notch signal caller to fill a hole at a position that saw the likes of Trevor Siemian and Brock Osweiler last year.

6. Jets: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

Gang Green is my bet to land Kirk Cousins in Free Agency on a massive contract. They get him the protection he desperately needs by getting the top OT in the 2018 draft class.

7. Buccaneers: Marcus Davenport, Defensive End, Texas-San Antonio

Perhaps the fastest rising player in this years draft pool, Davenport has all the tools to be a dominant pass rusher at the next level for the Bucs.

8. Bears: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Mitch Trubisky gets his #1 WR in another entry in the line of talented Alabama WR's.

9. 49ers: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

SF gets Jimmy G, their newly paid franchise QB, the protection he needs to succeed in the best OG prospect to come out of college in a few years.

10. Raiders: Joshua Jackson, Cornerback, Iowa

The Raiders add the former Hawkeye at a position where they really need help.

11. Dolphins: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Miami moves on from the oft-injured Ryan Tannahill and grabs the most polarizing prospect of the 2018 draft class. The Heisman Trophy winner's maturity may be questioned but there is no questioning his production and talent.

12. Bengals: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

Cincy adds a young leader to their defense. Smith was a player on a level of his own in the College Football Playoff games and has skills that easily transfer to the next level.

13. Redskins: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

The Redskins get a very talented player who didn't quite live up to the hype in college. If James can put it all together, he could be an anchor in the Washington secondary for years to come.

14. Packers: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

Ward is a technically sound young CB who could greatly help the weak GB cornerback group.

15. Cardinals: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

Arizona gets their new QB1. Allen has a very high ceiling but faces questions on his level of competition in college and has yet to put it all together and become the complete package.

16. Ravens: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

This pick will certainly surprise some. But should it? Take away Flacco's season with the Super Bowl run and he almost certainly would be out in Baltimore by now. Jackson adds elite athleticism and explosiveness to an offense lacking in big plays.
