Round 1

1. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

You have to take the best player available especially in a position of need. A QB can be drafted at #4 or later possibly Kirk Cousins...

2. Giants: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

Sam Darnold is not the answer and should go back to USC. Josh Rosen can come in and sit for a year behind Eli with no pressure to succeed right away. Rosen has the potential to be special.

3. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

I think the colts will trade out of this spot. If they pick in this spot the best pure defensive player on the board or in the draft has to be Chubb and the selection. A QB could be taken with Lucks future in doubt, but if Luck doesnt play they could be picking top 5 in 2019.

4. Browns: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

The Browns will hopefully be smart and continue to invest in the defense. Meaning they sign a FA QB in Kirk Cousins, A.J. McCarron or Nick Foles. With Fitzpatrick they say he's the Nick Saban on the kid.

5. Broncos: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

I think Elway will take a QB that he sees himself in. Josh Allen has a lot of Elway similarities. The smart move would be to invest in the OL but the need for a QB is too great.

6. Jets: Joshua Jackson, Cornerback, Iowa

Again I think the the Jets will finally learn and trade back, they chase QB's too often without success. There will be FA to sign being able to develop the 2 on the roster.

With the pick in this mock it's Josh Jackson, a defensive minded coach i allowed to complete the defense. A major ball hawk with 18 PD and 8 INT in 2017. He has length at 6'1 and good football speed.

7. Buccaneers: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

The Bucs need help all over the place but landing not only the best G in the draft but the best offensive lineman in the draft is a great gamble to take. CB and S are big needs but Nelson is on par with Zach Martin.

8. Bears: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

The bears are losing two corners in FA. Youth is needed and Ward comes from a school that has been pumping out top DB prospects. Derwin James is the better player and could be the pick but Ward is the bigger need.

9. 49ers: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

The 49ers run to the podium for the selection. With JG locked up and James falling to them at 9 is a dream come true. Lynch gets an absolute stud in the locker room and on the field.

10. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Inside Linebacker, Georgia

Roquan is a devastating presence on the defense. Gruden needs to develop a dominant front seven and with Smith that is a great start, comparisons to Derrick Brooks have been floated. Paired with Mack, Smith with be a force in the middle.

11. Dolphins: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Mayfield could go higher with a trade taking place but for this draft he is heading to Miami. Mayfield is a winner and has a desire to play for Miami. Character concerns aside Mayfield has a tone of confidence. Adam Gase has a true backup plan if Tannehill can't get it done.

12. Bengals: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

The Bengals need help up front. Boiling can slide back to G and McGlinchey can come in a play from day one. They can address the defense and WR later in the draft.

13. Redskins: Vita Vea, Defensive Tackle, Washington

Vita Vea will be an immediate impact player in Washington's 3-4 defense. The skins traded for Alex Smith eliminating the immediate need for a QB. Vea has the speed and agility of a smaller DT with the strength one would expect for a guy his size.

14. Packers: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

Tremaine Edmunds has been a riser on draft boards of late. Speed and power, with a good combine the Packers roll the dice on a guy to eventually take over for Clay Matthews. Davenport i the popular pick but Edmunds played against better competition.

15. Cardinals: Orlando Brown, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma

I think the Cardinals will be the team to trade up for Allen or Mayfield but until then Brown is the pick, Big strong tackles that also fit a need. Brown could step in and solidify the left or right side of the line, he blocked for one of the most productive offenses in college.

16. Ravens: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Ozzie Newsome loves Alabama players and he gets a complete stud in Ridley. Just watch the tape.
