Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

I am not a big fan of Allen this early in the draft.I think the Browns would be best off pursuing Cousins or McCarron, who has had success under Jackson in the past. But seeing multiple rumors that Browns love Allen I have them making this selection at 1.

2. Giants: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

Selecting a QB here would be a valid option but recent comments by new HC Shurmer and the draft history of Gettleman shows they are willing to continue a few more seasons with Eli. So to help him they select the best player available in Barkley who will help this great offense exploded.

3. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

With Barkley gone I see the Colts trading down to later in the top 10 and getting Connor Williams or Quenton Nelson. But if they don't trade down I see them making the move and getting Chubb to help that defense get descent.

4. Browns: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

With the Browns' 1st pick they take someone who they hope can help out their offense. With their 2nd pick they fix a major hole in their defense. The Browns have used Peppers incorrectly as a FS but now can put him in the box like he should be.

5. Broncos: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

I can see the Broncos taking any QB they like right here. But I think Mayfield to the Broncos would be the best case scenario. He would have a top defense and a good enough offense behind to get his career headed towards success early instead of heading towards on the couch with Manziel.

6. Jets: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

The Jets have the perfect pick. Any of the top QBs will most certainly fall to them and if they want to trade up to get the QB of their choice they could easily do so. But with Darnold falling to them this would be an easy choice.

7. Buccaneers: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

Nelson is the best G prospect to come into the NFL in some time. And although the Bucs need a pass rusher, I don't think they would want to pass up someone who will upgrade their O line to keep Winston healthy.

8. Bears: Connor Williams, Offensive Tackle, Texas

The Bears have done something like this over the last few seasons. Everyone thinks they take one position with their first pick only to address it later on and get a steal. This year I believe they will pass on a WR only to address it later. So they address the O line. Their is a lot of speculation that Williams will be the first T taken off the board. If not for injuries I believe he would go higher.

9. 49ers: Joshua Jackson, Cornerback, Iowa

The 49ers are set to make a jump if they stay healthy. And with a top 10 pick they can address so many positions. I have Jackson as my #1 CB and he would improve an improving 49ers.

10. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

The Raiders were a surprise to everyone when they constantly played bad football. They have tons of talent and have an opportunity to add more. Smith would improve that defense a ton and would be the perfect player next to Bowman.

11. Dolphins: Orlando Brown, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma

If you compare the Dolphins last 2 seasons they are completely different in each year. One of the factors is that during their playoff run they had Tunsil playing G to help their run game. If they can take T early and move Tunsil to G then they will have a better run game for Drake and a better pass blocking group.

12. Bengals: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

The Bengals have a terrible O line. Boling is the only good player they have on it. McGlinchey be the LT of the future to help protect Andy Dalton and provide running lanes for Mixon.

13. Redskins: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

The Redskins traded a 3rd round pick and statistically the best slot corner in the NFL for Alex Smith. Take that how you want but they need someone to help Norman in that secondary so they snag the best CB available.

14. Packers: Marcus Davenport, Defensive End, Texas-San Antonio

The Packers kinda messed up. When Rodgers went down they should have begun thinking about getting a higher pick to improve their team. But they still manage to get a pass rusher whose name is getting hotter everyday. They would happily pick Davenport here to be the pass rusher of the future.

15. Cardinals: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

Yes I have Rosen falling. If you look at the teams after pick 6 how many do you think will want a QB? In this draft it happens to be Rosen who falls. And with the cardinals needing multiple positions on their team a talented QB has to get the pick here to have someone to build around.

16. Ravens: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

The Ravens need a WR and the Ravens love taking Alabama players. I have Ridley falling this far because of all the Qbs and defensive talent in this draft.
