I promised myself I'd only make 3 mocks this offseason, a way to early mock, post senior bowl, and goes number 2, number 1 had some good good picks, and bad, lets see if I improve. No trades

Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

The more in depth I think of this I look at it like this...They can still get a great QB prospect at number 4 and get a generational RB talent who is also the best player in the draft...Makes the most sense to take Barkley at number 1.

2. Giants: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

I think the rocket arm and the chance to develop behind Manning certainly will be enticing for David Gettleman...Allen showed great touch in the Senior Bowl and when it comes Allen's time he will have a plethora of weapons.

3. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

The colts have a lot of needs...Chubb or Fitzpatrick logically make sense here.

4. Browns: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Barkley and Darnold is a great foundation for a young team to build around on offense...A vet Qb will be signed for Darnold to develop behind.

5. Broncos: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

I am a firm believer Kirk Cousins chooses Denver and Denver chooses Cousins...They grab one of the best Guard prospects ever to protect Cousins here. C.J. Anderson will also be a happy camper.

6. Jets: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

Good spot for Rosen to go to, he is the most pro-ready QB and this is the team that of all the QB needy teams that will need their rookie QB to start right away assuming they miss out on Cousins, Smith and Bradford, which is likely.

7. Buccaneers: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

I think Minkah is a top 5 caliber player, just falls here at 7 due to the needs of the first 6 picks.

8. Bears: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Calvin Ridley is extremely explosive and scouts love him I think he fits with the Bears nicely.

9. Raiders: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

this pick could be the 49ers depending on a coin flip...I am so glad Dan Jeremiah from rated Edmunds his best LB over Roquan Smith because I agree...He is better, Roquan Smith is an off-ball LB only, great pick for Oakland here.

10. 49ers: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

This pick makes too much sense you have to protect Jimmy!

11. Dolphins: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

And there you have it Baker Mayfield! He said he wants to be a Dolphin and he gets his wish! Tannehill is not a favorite of Adam Gase and his time is coming to and end. That end starts with this pick.

12. Bengals: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

The Bengals need some youth at safety think this is a good fit.

13. Redskins: Vita Vea, Defensive Tackle, Washington

The Redskins are in desperate need of a beast at Defensive tackle and they get one here. Quarterback I think will be addressed in round 2 and I think they will get a decent veteran in free agency.

14. Packers: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

This is a good spot for Roquan Smith as Green Bay is desperate for a sideline to sideline backer.

15. Cardinals: Christian Kirk, Wide Receiver, Texas A&M

The Cardinals could go QB here, but this team has so many other needs...Getting some weapons on both sides of the ball and bringing in a bridge veteran I think would be the smartest move for Arizona. Kirk is going to be a Golden Tate type player.

16. Ravens: Courtland Sutton, Wide Receiver, SMU

Ravens need a productive big bodied wide out...Good fit for Sutton and Baltimore.
