Round 1

1. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

COUSINS LEAVES REDSKINS. This is the first step for the Browns acquiring Cousins. Sure, "the experts" insist it will be the Vikings...nah. I am sticking with Cleveland winning the prize. Location, location, location; Browns are only a short 5 hour drive from Cousins home in Michigan. Midwestern roots, Christian values, he is a father and won't go anywhere outside the Midwest (though Denver has a shot) Odds: Browns 40%, Denver 25%, Vikings 20% The Field 15%. The Pitch: Location, $, This draft, Free Agency $. From the cellar to the playoffs, book it Dano.. Expect a magical and MASSIVE year for the Browns, Paul Brown is smiling again

2. Giants: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

When you're on the top of the mountain everyone wants to knock you off and we are seeing this in the media. Giants are not fooled though and neither am I. Rosen is a stud (period) Giants trade back into first round!

3. Broncos: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

From Indy. Let me break this down and explain what Denver will need to make this trade. It won't come cheap or even in at trade value (I loosely use Drafttek) Broncos fans will not like this, but it will cost Denver more than just their 2nd round pick to get Darnold (because Jets have a higher second round pick to offer). In the end I think this pick will cost two second round picks, but lets say they can get it for the 2018 and a 2019 3rd. Denver has in its favor the fact that Allen may be best suited for Buffalo's cold weather and the Jets might be happy with Jackson or Mayfield and keeping their substantial ammo. Should Denver decide not to "pay up" the Jets or Buffalo will be more than willing to jump up to take Darnold,, and maybe Elway is happy to just take either Mayfield or Allen save his picks and pick up at least one more in a trade

4. Browns: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

There is a fair chance the rich get even richer here, because the Browns could trade down and will have offers (especially if Indy keeps their pick): . Let's keep it simple though and just take Fitzpatrick. Browns really need two Corners and a Safety and this is a deep class for both. Peppers and Fitzpatrick..wow, scary.

5. Colts: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

From DenverThere is a fair chance the Jets jump up IF they are in love with Allen, Mayfield or Jackson and it would be an easy trade for them giving a high 3rd to move to 5 because they have the ammo to do it. But I don't really see this happening, I think Indy has seen plenty of Nelson and are sold on him. Chubb probably is also in the running but is better suited to a 4-3 scheme. Protecting Luck should be priority number one. This will turn out to be the best Indy draft since they acquired Luck.

6. Jets: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

.This pick is between Allen, Mayfield and Jackson for the most racially diverse team (kudos) I'd personally go for the ceiling and I think they do too (that means they don't take Mayfield who has a lower ceiling but higher floor) in a controversial pick. This will be a passionate argument with plenty of fans being unhappy. While the bowl game left many with a bad taste, it was Jackson's worst game EVER and it could and should motivate him. But really it comes down to what flavor they like and might very easily be Mayfield or Allen. NOTE: CHARLIE SEEMS TO HAVE INFO THEY ARE HOT ON ALLEN SO LET'S GIVE THEM ALLEN

7. Buccaneers: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

Chubb is still the top dog in the 4-3 scheme in my book. He feels Davenport coming.

8. Bills: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

From Bears. Buffalo plays it very smartly and saves a first round pick. This is the big advantage of waiting, as opposed to everyone else who is seemingly casually trading away 2 first round picks to get a QB, Bills should easily win this bidding war with Cards, Fins, Bengals and Chargers, whether it is Jackson, Allen or Mayfield. Allen is a the best fit because he is really the only true cold weather QB and his upside is massive. Price 2018 1st (21), 2018 2nd (52), 2018 2nd (56 via Rams), Bears give back 2018 4th (via Cards) .Pick Change (ALLEN). Bottom line here is they only don't move up if 1) only Jackson is left or 2) the slim and none chance that the QB's fall. Bills have major muscle this draft regardless if they make this trade or not, but for me (as you will see) this trade is a lot easier to stomach.

9. 49ers: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

Niner's thinking is Foster's best position is ILB and moving him inside and adding Edmonds would pay big dividends Also Guards, Corners and RB's are deep with very good quality.in this draft.

10. Cardinals: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

From Raiders Fins will offer a 3rd, Raiders want a 2nd.... Cards move up PICK CHANGE (MAYFIELD)

11. Dolphins: Orlando Brown, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma

With Nelson long gone (in this mock) I would bet Gase will jump on Brown and here is why: yep he looks like he has two left feet and this is why early on many experts projected him as a Guard. Fins don't really need a Tackle but having a Guard who can also play Tackle well is a huge luxury and one I would leap on.

12. Bengals: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

Bengals OLine is woeful so it could be one of the OT's but Safety is also a big need so I think it is James

13. Redskins: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

People are criticizing the Smith Trade, but I am not one of those. Sure the Skins blew it with Cousins, but lose him for nothing at this point??? That would have been idiotic. Ridley will be a nice weapon for them to have.

14. Packers: Marcus Davenport, Defensive End, Texas-San Antonio

Sure this could be a Corner or WR or Key, Davenport is raw, but you can't teach speed. Key continues to be the enigma of this draft. Why the Pack takes their Edge here is simple, it is not a deep class (unlike their other needs)

15. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

From Zona. Yep it could be McGlinchey , but Raiders have been trying to draft a stud ILB for three long years. OT is deep and now armed with an additional second Raiders are rolling.

16. Ravens: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

Everyone has the wise birds taking a WR and I'd have to agree that WR and RB are the bigger needs, but OT and Guard are also needs and the opportunity to take a top tier OT should be considerable. WR, RB and Guard are all deep.
