The Browns franchise is pretty much screwed until they have a solid player lining up behind the center. On top of this, Cleveland would kill their franchise if they didn't go QB here. At this point, it is Darnold or Rosen. Although Darnold has more star quality and has a higher ceiling, Rosen is a better fit for their system, has slightly better decision making, and has good physical tools to be a decent QB. Less risk, but still a lot of upside.
The Eli Manning era is done in New York and it is time to move on at QB. Now, there is a 55/45 chance that the Browns take Darnold and they take Rosen but they should hope for Darnold. He has the star quality that you need for a team in the Big Apple and he has a very high ceiling. With OBJ, he could make an impact early and develop into a franchise QB.
The Colts have a difficult decision here because they have many needs: strong RB, Inside linebacker and an edge rusher. But the colts most valuable player is Andrew Luck and he needs more protection. Colts needs an OG and Nelson is the best on the board at this point. This is the smart pick for the Cotls
With Jimmy Garoppolo, they might want to add some protection. But they really need some help in the secondary. They got rookie Witherspoon on one side of the corners and need someone on the otherside, but Fitzpatrick is just too talented, too versatile. He will definitely help out on the SF defense
Browns get this pick from Cleveland from Houston. If Barkley isn't picked up at this point, the browns would get an A draft grade for their first two picks. They will have a solid rookie QB with a beast of a running back in a duo with third-down back Duke Johnson Jr and the potential comeback of Josh Gordon. Barkley is the obvious pick.
It is unlikely that the Broncos go for another young QB. If they don't go out to get Kirk Cousins or some other veteran QB in the offseason or settle for mediocre Trevor Sieman, they would get Baker Mayfield. But I think they make a move at QB and try to get some pass protection. Connor Williams will help them bolster their O-line with some aging veterans and a brutal schedule against elite pass rushers.
They need some pass rush and God Damn Bradley Chubb is a talent. He is by far the best pass rusher in this draft and it is really the only choice the Buccaneers would go for. They might go for defensive back but 90% sure they go with D-line.
Denzel is a really good fit for the Bears defense and their defense could use some help. Some might argue they need a wide out for Trubisky to through to like Sutton or Ridley but with a defense that could put Mitch on the field more often would be better. Bears need help in their secondary and Ward will help them immensely. I would argue that Arden Key is a talent not to pass on but Ward is great and fits their needs.
The biggest debate here is if Cincinnati goes with Mayfield. The Bengals are going to clean out their coaching staff and might start with a QB. However, Andy Dalton is a solid QB and taking a chance on a QB while they have several other holes on the roster would be shit. They need an outside linebacker and Arden Key out of LSU is solid all-around linebacker who wraps when he tackles and has a good motor.
You need a QB. The Heisman winning QB is still in the board. He is talented, athletic, makes big plays, and has the most star-quality out of anyone in the draft. He could be the talent and personality to help kickstart his franchise back into ranks.
If Cousins leaves, the redskins get Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen. But not assuming free agent moves on this pick, Washington needs more offensive weapons and Ridley is the best wide receiver on the board. James Washington might be a better playmaker but Ridley is the best overall and best talent on the board.
Yes Carson Palmer is about done with his time in the NFL. Yes there isn't much alternative. But with some veteran QB's in free agency and a shaky Offensive line, They will want to go OT and Mike McGlinchey is the most skilled blocker in the draft. Orlando Brown might be more physical, but McGlinchey will be a better pass-protector.
Raiders need either another pass-rusher opposite of Mack or another corner opposite of Conley. You have Irvin opposite of Mack so I see Oakland going with a corner. Earlier in the season I would say Tarvarus McFadden would be up here but he tapered down and Davis has been putting up a solid campaign for Auburn.
