Round 1

1. Browns: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

The Browns are clearly having issues at the QB position, with Hogan not having the ability to be a franchise QB and Kizer not showing many signs of being the guy either, I believe the team very well could go with a QB with the 1st overall pick. Especially since they already have a tough edge rusher(Garrett) and a great gadget RB(Johnson) so they don't need Key or Barkely.

With that said Rosen has looked far better than really any other QB this year and especially with that great comeback against Texas A@M. Hue Jackson could end up believing that Rosen is the franchise QB to bring in. I really don't think that Darnold will declare so I'm going with that in this Mock JSYK. In fact I really hope Darnold doesn't declare as he can really improve with another year in college.

2. Giants: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

The Giants troubles have been caused on the offense, mainly the blocking on the offensive line. I'd say they'd pick up a tackle in free agency such as Solder who when healthy can be a pro bowl esque player. If they do it may be Barkley here and that would be solid as well.

But if that isn't the case McGlinchey is a very reasonable option at 2nd overall. McGlinchey has looked quite nice for Notre Dame as a Senior and if he continues the chance of him landing a spot on the New York Football Giants is quite likely.

3. 49ers: Mason Rudolph, Quarterback, Oklahoma State

The 49ers have Brian Hoyer at QB who wasn't bad last year for Chicago before a bad arm injury and he hasn't been the same since, Garcon would be a perfect target for a young QB as he seemingly never drops the football, with that said the team is clearly in need of a new young QB that fits Shanahan's offense, but the issue is there is a runningback named Saquon Barkley who has been a monster for the Nittany Lions throughout his college career that fits Shanahan's offense and while Carlos Hyde has been quite good he is in a contract year and doesn't exactly fit Shanahan's offensive needs whereas Barkely does, if Hyde doesn't get resigned look for Barkley here but for now I stand for a QB being selected here.

That QB would be Mason Rudolph who is currently a Senior for Oklahoma State, many have argued that he has the best receiver in the draft and he shouldn't go early for that reason, I disagree and as much as I hate the 49ers it would really be likely that they go for Rudolph here as he fits into Kyle's offense quite well in my opinion.

4. Chargers: Trey Adams, Offensive Tackle, Washington

The Chargers have one of the worst offensive lines in the league and in my opinion it has been simply because of the tackles, Barksdale needs to go and Hairston I believe has been ok but I don't really see another player that could go here with the Chargers other than maybe a QB like Lamar Jackson or Luke Falk(not gonna happen this early) I believe that they need to fix the o-line to help out Melvin Gordon.

I don't know much about Adams but from what I've heard he looks like an early first rounder and the Chargers are clearly having major struggles at OT, so I'd say that they would go with Adams here who would likely help this team kick Barksdale off the team.

5. Bears: James Washington, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma State

The Bears don't have many glaring issues, but the notable ones are
WR
LB
CB
and of course... possibly a 3/4 DE with that said Chubb would be a nice pick as well as Arden Key but that wouldn't be ideal as the team clearly needs to get a #1 receiver, that receiver could very well be Ridley or St. Brown but I have another guy in mind...

James Washington is debatably the best receiver in the class, and he could be a great deep threat for Trubisky to create some big plays with. If Shaheen develops and Meredith comes back strong, then adding Washington could make this passing offense reach the top half of the league and it would make the Bears a lot less boring on offense

6. Colts: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

The team is obviously in need of some talented pass rushers but how can you pass up on one of the absolute best runningback prospect we've seen since AP. Since Mack has been playing well, the fact that Gore is basically guaranteed to retire is a lot less annoying and uncomfortable, but this would make Luck have a great running game to hang his hat on. If they select Barkley then the Colts are legit, all they would need to do is get that o-line more solidified and get the defense a lot more productive.

7. Cardinals: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

The Arizona Cardinals definitely need some major o-line help, Palmer is likely to retire though, it all comes down to who's available and how good they will be heading into this year. The team needs help everywhere on the offense other than RB, if they were to get a guy like Nelson then the o-line should make a big jump, I still think they need to move Veldheer back to LT. Although getting Ridley or Luke Falk or maybe even Lamar Jackson(although I highly doubt it because BA loves to throw down field and Jackson isn't that type of QB) Quenton Nelson just works for me. I am predicting that they will bring in Kirk Cousins or Jimmy Garoppolo.

8. Patriots: Arden Key, Defensive End, LSU

The Patriots have traded up to the 8th overall pick!
I know this is unreasonable and I have said before that I don't like to have trades in my mocks, but the Pats NEED defense, and if Arden Key were to fall this far and the Bengals want to trade down I can see Belichik giving up his 1st this and next year and a second this year for Arden Key. Key would fix a massive hole the Pats had last year and it would make the teams defensive struggles clearly less glaring.

9. Titans: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

Its tough to find what has made the Titans struggle so far on defense, but I'd say they need corners and a d-tackle. Its sad because I had said they NEED to take Jonathan Allen at 5 last year and instead they took Davis who hasn't been anything compared to Allen and now its costing them. Obviously though Fitzpatrick is a great player who would really change their defense, being able to play safety and CB. He would really make a difference in a struggling secondary that gave up a lot of points against rookie QB Deshaun Watson.

10. Cowboys: Tarvarus McFadden, Cornerback, Florida State

I haven't been able to watch a single Seminoles game, but if I were to have to choose from all the corners I would assume McFadden would have to be the pick here, I like Awuzie and Lewis, as well as Brown but the team needs a talented shut down corner, in fact I believe they should have drafted Ramsey two years ago.

11. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Inside Linebacker, Georgia

I also haven't watch any games for Georgia but from what I have heard, Smith is looking like a stud, and although I am a big fan of Malik Jefferson, he just doesn't seem to want to play football at a high level, but then again we had the same questions about Garrett a year ago, and he had two sacks in his debut and one on his first snap ever. Regardless, if Smith has been playing as well as I have heard, then I will have a hard time believing that they would pass on him especially with their needs at ILB.

12. Browns: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

If the Browns want Rosen to be successful, they need another reliable receiver other than David Njoku, Coleman hasn't looked great but he can manage, but overall Ridley would make for a great receiver for a young QB like Rosen who will likely need a good supporting cast. If they were to add a young receiver like Ridley imagine the tandem. Just do it.

13. Buccaneers: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

The Buccaneers have been struggling indefinitely on defense, specifically in pass rush with the exception of the Thursday Night Game. If they want to change that, Chubb would be the perfect guy. I have been watching a lot of NC State lately other than the Florida State game. Chubb is as dominant as they come and I simply believe he is the absolute best DE in the class as I think Key is more of a LB. Chubb is currently my favorite player in the entire draft class to this point.

14. Dolphins: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

All I need to say is Derwin James and Reshad Jones and people would get excited. The guys are studs and when Tannehill is healthy this team is a SB contender. Lol I had James falling to 32 because I forgot about him but even this could be too low.

15. Redskins: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

Washington is in a tough spot, they could lose their franchise tagged QB this year, and that would mean a start for Colt McCoy, not ideal. If they don't land a stud in free agency, then it is very likely that they will draft a guy like Lamar Jackson or Luke Falk. With that said the better of the two would be drafted here, who might that be? Well the Skins drafted RG3 a couple years ago, who was similar to Jackson in many ways, who is to say that they won't do something like that again? If they were to get Jackson then this team can truly make a run at the Super Bowl. Provided Jackson plays to expectations, there are many people questioning his passing ability, which as a QB you would expect him to be able to throw. Unless he becomes a true QB it will be very difficult for him to be a dominant QB in the NFL.

16. Saints: Da'Ron Payne, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

This was a very tough decision, it was either going to be Dorance Armstrong, or Da'Ron Payne. Of the two I prefer Payne as he is a DT who can be truly dominant against the run. I think if you were to add him to this Saints defense then, he could be a true force along with Okafor, Cameron Jordan, and Sheldon Rankins who are all dominant players. If you add him then I believe the defense as a whole will truly perform better. Although Armstrong would definitely have been a nice player in the pass rush for them.
