Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Giants: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

TRADE ALERT: Giants trade up 2 spots to draft the best player in the class, and the player that will eventually lead Big Blue to another ring.

2. 49ers: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Kyle Shanahan gets the face of his franchise, and a QB with everything a coach could ask for: talent, experience, swagger, et cetera.

3. Browns: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

Best defensive player in the class, James gives the Browns versatility in the secondary. Watch out for a DROY campaign...

4. Chargers: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

A desperate Chargers front office drafts Rosen, the hometown hero, in hopes that it will increase fan happiness. Spoiler, it doesn't.

5. Bengals: Harold Landry, Defensive End, Boston College

Versatility? Check. Heart? Check. Production? Check. Landry is a very good player, and the Bengals don't really have many of those.

6. Colts: Arden Key, Defensive End, LSU

Hallelujah, screams Andrew Luck as Key falls to #6. The highest upside among defensive players in this class makes Key a prospect to salivate over.

7. Bears: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

Da Bears shore up their already good offensive line with a talented bookend, likely to become Trubisky's best friend.

8. Dolphins: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

The Dolphins are in NFL purgatory. If they do end up competing, it will be largely because of Fitzpatrick, the best corner in the draft.

9. Cardinals: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Darnold in the desert? You bet. Bruce Arians, Sam Darnold, and David Johnson could be the next Greatest Show on Turf.

10. Ravens: James Washington, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma State

The Ravens need receiver help, badly. Who better than a physical, big-bodied, yet fast receiver in Washington? Washington will end up helping Flacco's case as an elite QB for sure.

11. Seahawks: Connor Williams, Offensive Tackle, Texas

Stop me if you've heard this before: the Seahawks O-line sucks. So, they draft the most polished tackle in the class. Good pick.

12. Browns: Courtland Sutton, Wide Receiver, SMU

Another first-round receiver for the Browns. Sutton's efforts combined with Corey Coleman, Rashard Higgins, and their assortment of tight ends should help DeShone Kizer develop.

13. Cowboys: Christian Wilkins, Defensive Tackle, Clemson

The Cowboys starting D-Line: Demarcus Lawrence, Christian Wilkins, Maliek Collins, Taco Charlton. Not the joke that the 'Boys have been trotting out these past few years, largely thanks to Wilkins.

14. Jaguars: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

Rest in peace Blake Bortles. Allen has all the physical tools a coach could ask for, so maybe with him under center the Jags could live up to their expectations.

15. Jets: Mason Rudolph, Quarterback, Oklahoma State

The top 4 QBs are gone before the halfway point of the first round. But still, the Jets get a good one. Mason Rudolph is no joke, and should do a good job slinging the rock Enunwa? Yeah, him, I guess.

16. Saints: Josey Jewell, Outside Linebacker, Iowa

The Saints have a bad defense, so they take a fast, instinctive, tackle machine in Jewell. Jewell will be all over the field for the Saints.
