Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Jets: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

This pick shouldnt be a surprise to anyone, now yes there has been way too much hype for Darnold but after 2/3 weeks of the college season I think he's proved why he had that hype. Hopefully the jets get the upside of Darnold.

2. 49ers: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

Now maybe they wont go QB by the end of the year, but as it looks right now Brian Hoyer isn't looking like the answer. Yes theres CJ Beathard but I think he's nothing more than a career backup. Now onto Rosen, I wasn't too high on him and still aren't but that comeback against Texas A&M showed his clutch factor, which could just be what the niners need to win more games.

3. Colts: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

I hard a hard time choosing for the colts as they really could use a upgrade at a lot of positions, but I decided to replace aging Frank Gore with this pick by selecting a generational talent at RB in Saquon Barkley, This will also be the third RB took in the top 5 in the past 3 years.... wow

4. Browns: Arden Key, Defensive End, LSU

With all the young talent up and coming on this team and not knowing how they turned out yet made this a difficult pick, So I chose the best available player in OLB Arden Key, I think he could take over the other OLB position across from Jamie Collins, or maybe just move Ogbah in and have Key rushing across from Myles Garrett, Absolutely scary.

5. Bengals: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

Bengals have looked god awful to start out the year, yes partly to blame is former OC Ken Zampese but I think alot too blame is Dalton being rattled by the pressure that is coming at him extra fast with a awful OL, Luckily for the bengals this is a good year to be needing a OT as Mike McGlinchey is coming out this year and has a special blend of Size, Strength and Speed to be a franchise OT.

6. Bears: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

Bears get real lucky with this pick as arguably the best player in the draft is still available at 6, That player being standout safety/linebacker from FSU, Derwin James. Derwin James is sort of like Peppers in a way that he can line up in the box or drop back into coverage, but he excels at both and would be a much safer pick than Peppers was.

7. Bills: Courtland Sutton, Wide Receiver, SMU

The first WR off the board is SMU's whole offense aka Courtland Sutton, Sutton is a tall and fast WR with great hands and could really be used for the bills as the offense as started out slow, maybe this is because after trading Sammy Watkins they didnt have a true WR1, well after this pick they do.

8. Jaguars: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

The Jags could be great if they finally had a good QB, now with this pick it could turn out the same as bortles is, raw talent with no direction but I think Allen could be different, his work ethic, true talent and leadership could really be a guy the jags can have the organization around, this is sort of like the Bucs and Jameis, they have built the team for years now its time for the QB.

9. Chargers: Connor Williams, Offensive Tackle, Texas

Protect Rivers. That's mostly what the chargers need to do, If they give time for Rivers to throw to a hopefully healthy Keenan Allen and Mike Williams and to create holes for Melvin Gordon. Now yes I know they drafted Forrest Lamp but I still think his natural position is at guard and who knows if he will recover from his injury. And no Rivers doesnt retire yet

10. Saints: Christian Kirk, Wide Receiver, Texas A&M

If Brees thinks he can still play he will keep playing, so no QB this time for the saints, What they do take though is speedster christian kirk that could fill the deep threat attack that Colston and Cook had, and just another good option across from Micheal Thomas to make the top CBs try to figure out who to cover

11. Rams: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cornerback, Alabama

Minkah fitzpatrick is the true star the rams mediocre secondary needs, He can line up at corner and shut down top WRs or drop back into a safety position to cover over the top, This would be great value for the rams and would make new DC Wade Phillips really happy to have.

12. Cardinals: Mason Rudolph, Quarterback, Oklahoma State

Don't get on me for putting alot of QBs in this draft as you knew from the start it was loaded at that position, Anyway the cardinals need to find the future after aging QB Carson Palmer, and QB Guru Bruce Arians would really like a talent like Mason Rudolph with a cannon for an arm and great accuracy, just a little bit of polishing and he could be a top 10 QB in the league.

13. Browns: Duke Dawson, Cornerback, Florida

Maybe this is reaching a bit for Duke Dawson but I think he works his way into this spot by the end of the year. Imagine this playmaker along with Jabrill Peppers in the secondary of the browns picking everything thrown up, Dawson would be a good press/slot option and maybe work his way to the outside.

14. Giants: Orlando Brown, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma

Giants need to protect Eli if not replace him that is, but in this instance the bolster the offensive line by selecting the guy who is keeping Baker Mayfield off the ground in Oklahoma, maybe Eli can go back to playoff form with a tackle like this.

15. Dolphins: Harold Landry, Defensive End, Boston College

Dolphins need a true edge prospect to get after QBs, Cameron Wake is a shell of what he was and Suh needs help on the line. Harold Landry is an elite rusher who can put his hand in the dirt and bull rush or stand up at edge and use his speed to get to the QB.

16. Redskins: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

Redskins select the most dynamic college QB we have seen since Tim Tebow, but this guy has arm talent and vision, Lamar jackson can stand in the pocket, avoid pressure and throw the ball down the field or has the legs to take off for a 20 yard gain, Kirk might be leaving this offseason and the redskins could use a guy like RG3 was before injuries.
