Why is the NFL a non-profit organization?
Published at 9/3/2017 4:50:02 PM

Seriously, the NFL makes billions of dollars a year and it's a non-profit organization because it got politicians to make a special exception decades ago? Anyway, it's always about the Best Play Available for you team unless you have a Pro Bowler at the position.

Round 1

1. Jets: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

The Jets are clearly the worst team in the NFL and will have the the #! pick in the draft. Darnold didn't look like a #1 pick in the game against Western Michigan. It could be argued that the defense focused on him and that is why the running bags did so well. They still need a franchise QB and he is the best choice.

2. 49ers: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

The 49ers still look bad so they should have a top 3 pick. They need a QB. Josh Allen did NOT look good against Iowa. Throwing multiple picks including a pick six. His YPA was also pretty low. So Lamar Jackson gets moved up. Jackson is a legitimate NFL and he is electric.

3. Bills: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

The Bills are tanking this year and I won't be surprised if they trade McCoy. They move up a couple of spots in the draft. Still waiting to see what Rosen actually does this year bout QB's get pushed up in the draft and their are some QB needy teams that will be at the top.

4. Jaguars: Trey Adams, Offensive Tackle, Washington

Another team that is making a horrible decision in playing Bortles who clearly is not the answer at QB. They should play Allen and see what he can do. Anyway, Allen will eventually start and the team will be terrible this year. They will be in the market for a new QB. But will Allen falling off and the loss of Albert they take a OT.

5. Bears: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

The Bears might have a QB in Trubisky but they still won't be very good this year. They need an OT. I know Key is a beast but they need a stud LT to protect their QB. McGlinchey is a multi year starting and is great in pass protection.

6. Rams: Arden Key, Defensive End, LSU

They will give Goff another year and with both the starting LT's off the board the Rams turn to the best Defensive player available.

7. Browns: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

The Browns might have a QB in Kizer so let's run with that. They need offensive playmakers. Barkley is a stud. Crowell is a FA after this year and he would be best served as #2 guy anyway.

8. Colts: Connor Williams, Offensive Tackle, Texas

Things don't look good for Luck as he isn't starter the year off healthy and they traded for another QB. For the LOVE OF GOD protect the guy you paid millions of dollars to lead your team to a super Bowl. Williams could be a reach at this point but they need help.

9. Ravens: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Flacco is hurt and the season looks bleak. They need playmakers at RB, WR, or TE. Ridley looked like a stud against FSU.

10. Cardinals: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

I don't think the Cards will be that good this year and they definitely need a new QB. Allen might recover but maybe he can still be a top 10 pick.

11. Panthers: Christian Kirk, Wide Receiver, Texas A&M

Is Newton really okay? Can McCaffery make that much a difference? Can the old DE's put pressure on the QB. Funchess isn't a #2 WR and Benjamin showed up fat and out of shape. Another weapon is needed.

12. Broncos: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

Can the offense do enough to keep them relevant? They cut TJ Ward so they need a new safety.

13. Redskins: Equanimeous St. Brown, Wide Receiver, Notre Dame

They lost their top 2 WR's and I am not sure they can compare to the offense they had last year.

14. Giants: Derrius Guice, Running Back, LSU

Manning is nearly done, and so is Marshall. They squeaked through a number of games last year. Not sure they can do that again especially with Beckham starting out the year banged up. How about they get a real stud RB to help.

15. Vikings: Jarrett Stidham, Quarterback, Auburn

The Vikings have a good defense but Sam Bradford is limited. Treadwell hasn't done anything. This is a reach at this point until the season plays out but they need to consider moving on from Bridgewater.

16. Saints: Dorance Armstrong Jr., Defensive End, Kansas

Defense, defense, defense. They need more help to get to the QB.
