Round 1

1. Browns: Myles Garrett, Defensive End, Texas A&M

This is now very hotly debated. The Browns started this whole process thinking they could get Garrett and then end up with Trubisky at 12. That no longer seems like an option, but Garrett is still the best and safest pick for a team looking to do moneyball.

2. Browns: Mitch Trubisky, Quarterback, North Carolina

The Browns made their move. Draft capital played a part in getting their guy. Trubisky is the Ohio native with the most upside as a pure signal caller. They sacrificed the 12th pick, the 1st pick in the 2nd round and a future 2nd rounder.

3. Bears: Jamal Adams, Strong Safety, LSU

A surprise to most. Adams is the most ready player in this draft to make a good contribution right away. Thomas looks cant miss, but Adams cant miss.

4. Jaguars: Solomon Thomas, Defensive End, Stanford

The Jags continue to build their defense. They might have made a move for Trubisky had be been available, but they believe Mahomes and Watson are too much of a reach.

5. Titans: Marshon Lattimore, Cornerback, Ohio State

Jonathan Allen keeps falling, but I really believe that Lattimore has established himself as the most talented corner in this draft. His hamstrings are a concern, but the Titans need a corner.

6. Jets: Leonard Fournette, Running Back, LSU

The Jets need playmakers. Fournette could be the running game the Jets sorely need. They dont go quarterback either because it just feels too early for Mahomes.

7. Chargers: Jonathan Allen, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

The Chargers sat back and watched Jonathan Allen fall into their laps. Allen is a really great fit as the Michael Bennett type outside inside presence in the Seahawks version of the 4-3.

8. Panthers: Malik Hooker, Free Safety, Ohio State

Hooker can play either safety position and fits the defensive philosophy in Carolina.

9. Bengals: Taco Charlton, Defensive End, Michigan

Bengals do what the Bengals do...they get good players. Still one of the most talented teams that cant seem to go anywhere.

10. Bills: Deshaun Watson, Quarterback, Clemson

Watson is the heir apparent to Tyrod Taylor. They are similar players, Watson just has higher upside.

11. Saints: Derek Barnett, Defensive End, Tennessee

At one point, Barnett was a sure lock for top 10. He really didnt do anything to lose ground. Teams still love his work ethic, his leadership and his game. I think he goes higher than many have him going.

12. 49ers: Pat Mahomes, Quarterback, Texas Tech

The 49ers move back, and are able to get a quarterback to groom.

13. Cardinals: O.J. Howard, Tight End, Alabama

The Cardinals wanted to take Mahomes, but the 9ers made the move. They go for the best prospect still left on their board. He also happens to fill a need.

14. Eagles: Dalvin Cook, Running Back, Florida State

Cook reminds me a lot of Jamal Charles. Pederson knows Charles very well. If Cook can live up to that billing, the Eagles found a gem.

15. Colts: Haason Reddick, Outside Linebacker, Temple

Haason Reddick overtook Foster based on character concerns. His pass rushing ability sets him apart.

16. Ravens: Corey Davis, Wide Receiver, Western Michigan

The Ravens have Breshad Perriman still developing, but they really need more. Davis is the best overall wide receiver in this draft.
