2017 NFL Mock Draft by timb2 - 3.7

My approach is what is I believe will happen.I look at production and combine & pro day workouts and also what I have heard through off field issues & medical issues and what is happening for the NFL teams rosters. Yes I have trades because I believe this could happen on Draft Day

Round 1

1. Patriots: Myles Garrett, Defensive End, Texas A&M

TRADE-The Browns are a bottomfeeder franchise and they need almost everything especially a future franchise QB. Also Myles Garrett has been on youtube and said he did not want to be in Cleveland. Garrett mentioned the Cowboys to trade up,but I do not believe the Cowboys have enough to get him. Pats I do believe have enough to make this trade. Browns receive Pats 2017 2nd,3rd (A) and 3(B) 2018 1st round pick and Jimmy Garrapolo & Danny Amendola. Browns need a young QB who this franchise can grow with. Garrapolo over Brock Osweiler either way the Browns build their future. Pats select the best player in this draft Myles Garrett and will use him like they did Willie McGinest from past years...Yes I'm bias, I do not want to see Myles Garrett wasted in Cleveland,I felt the same way few years ago about Ndamukong Suh going to the Lions. Too good of players to be wasted by these bottomfeeder franchises who piddle around for years wasting these talented players

2. 49ers: Mitch Trubisky, Quarterback, North Carolina

Niners are going to part ways with probably the most hated player in the NFL in Colin Kaepernik and his American Flag protest crap. Niners need to start over and getting Trubisky to build trhe Niners back to contenders. Trubisky is big enough and has all the tools to develop in becoming a solid NFL Starter.....

3. Eagles: Leonard Fournette, Running Back, LSU

TRADE Bears will listen to offers if Trubisky and Garrett are both gone. Eagles were aggressive last year to trade up and get QB Carson Wentz and they do it again this year to get Fournette who is a Day 1 Starter and a Future All-Pro and help Wentz and this offense fly high again.Bears receive Eagles 2017 1st & 2nd round picks and a 2018 3rd round pick....

4. Panthers: Cam Robinson, Offensive Tackle, Alabama

TRADE-If the Panthers want a LT to protect Cam Newton they have to get before the Jets & Chargers. Panthers select Cam Robinson and the Jaguars are a franchise that needs draft picks to turn their franchise around. Jaguars receive 2017 1st & 2nd round picks and a 2018 4th round pick.....

5. Titans: Marshon Lattimore, Cornerback, Ohio State

Titans desperately need a #1 corner who can lead their secondary and shut down opposing teams #1 WR. Lattimore is tall and his blazing 4.3 forty at the combine shouyld give the nod here as trhe Jets are right behind the Titans who would grab him....

6. Jets: Garrett Bolles, Offensive Tackle, Utah

The Jets are a team that needs to improve they have said they are willing to trade down this pick and could find a suitor but maybe #6 is out of reach for a Can't Miss Player. The Jets let Ryan Clady go and whomever becomes the franchise QB Bryce Petty or Christian Hackenburg they need a blindside protector. Bolles WOWed at the combine and he is athletic, physical and has a nasty mean streak.....

7. Chargers: John Ross, Wide Receiver, Washington

This franchise is a mess and now alienating the San Diego fans and moving to LA where they compete with the attention of football fans with the LA Rams and even might not be the favorite of LA fans when they play division rival the Raiders at their own stadium. The Chargers select the fastest WR in the draft and fastest player ever electronically timed in Ross who ran a 4.22. Where is John Ross from? Long Beach whick is basically LA. Player they need but also a promotional draw to bring in fans.

8. Jaguars: Solomon Thomas, Defensive End, Stanford

Jags need help at DE for Fowler and grabbing the hard nosed Thomas could help. He is physical strong and fast enough off the edge to make a great bookend and make them have a good pass rush to help hide weaknesses in their LB and DB corps...Most important is they need draft picks to build their franchise.

9. Bengals: Malik McDowell, Defensive Tackle, Michigan State

Bengals need to look to replace both Atkins and Peko as they are aging and getting pushed around. They also need help off the edge. McDowell can play both .He has great talent but he needs to be hard coached to get him to realize his potential. Coached right he could be a Pro Bowl player......

10. Bills: Christian McCaffrey, Running Back, Stanford

The Bills are another franchise that is rebuilding. I do believe they will be in the market for a veteran QB in free agency. I also think the Bills franchise might let LeSean McCoy who is 29 years old(ancient for a RB) overcoming a knee injury(most knee injuries take 2 years usually to get back at full strength if they do) and a RB who cried and whined about being traded to Buffalo. I believe the Bills will go in another direction. The Bills select McCaffrey to become their backfield star.

11. Saints: Deshaun Watson, Quarterback, Clemson

The Saints kind of surprise everyone but think about it. Drew Brees is 38 years old.How much does he have left.? Watson could unseat Brees by next year, this year sit and learn as the understudy.....

12. Browns: O.J. Howard, Tight End, Alabama

The Browns need everything and really need a stud TE on offense. Howard is consider the best TE in this draft. He is a great blocker and a very good receiver. Best TE they would have since Ozzie Newsome......

13. Cardinals: Mike Williams, Wide Receiver, Clemson

Larry Fitzgerald is declining and near the end of his career and Floyd was released. The Cards need to find a #1 WR in this draft. Williams has all the traits to become a #1 WR at the next level......

14. Bears: Jabrill Peppers, Safety, Michigan

The Bears have a bunch of journeymen as their safeties. They could use a stud and Peppers is going to be a very good safety in the pros. Built like a small truck and he can run and can hit like one also......

15. Colts: Takkarist McKinley, Defensive End, UCLA

Colts need an OLB pass rusher desperately and McKinley running a 4.5 off the edge at 250 lbs would be a ideal fit....

16. Ravens: Dalvin Cook, Running Back, Florida State

The Ravens really do not have a RB they can trust to be their #1 guy. Cook has speed to become a differencemaker and become the starter here.....
