Early 2017 NFL Mock Draft by Cap`n Crunch March 14th
Published at 3/27/2017 10:11:31 PM

Here we are a little over a month away from the big draft. Last year at this time the big trades were happening. Fantasy Football junkie so I love the draft. Had a few thoughts on the top 6 players from the 2016 draft ( was cool how they actually panned out ) so I thought I`d do it again this year. Went with 12 players this year. Most intriguing ?? Watson-Trubisky-Mahomes & Kizer... Once again , just like last year, the QB position has the most questions and interest. Safest picks? Garrett-Thomas-Adams & Barnett all look nfl ready. Most athletic? Peppers-Samuel-Melifonwu & Ross... (GARRETT) Just wow on how deep this draft class is.

Round 1

1. Browns: Myles Garrett, Defensive End, Texas A&M

Great player. Has beaten most of the OT`s in this class. Cam Robinson has been the only one to contain him. Lackluster in recent games won`t hurt his value too much.
HUGE combine showing the Browns he is the only player to take @ #1.

also could trade down with a big offer.. would have to be a H. Walker/R. Williams level of trade bait for them to even consider it.

tek ranking #1.

2. 49ers: Deshaun Watson, Quarterback, Clemson

Possible they grab Trubisky. Combine will be huge for him. Looked great vs Bama.
Came to combine on a mission. Looked impressive on drills. Stock is on the rise.

tek ranking #19.

3. Bears: Solomon Thomas, Defensive End, Stanford

Fastest rising prospect on most boards. Outstanding motor & talent. Combine was outstanding making him a great player for the Bears.

tek ranking #3.

4. Jaguars: Jamal Adams, Safety, LSU

Jags D is young and talented. Adams fits better than other SS in the draft.

tek ranking #4.

5. Bengals: Jonathan Allen, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

Dominate player. Looks better each week. Shoulder may be a red flag but he was outstanding for the last 2 years. Better than A. Donald possibly.

*TRADE UP WITH TEN* swap 2017 1st round picks & give TEN 2018 3rd round pick.

tek ranking #12.

6. Jets: Malik Hooker, Safety, Ohio State

Jets take a chance on recent injury news and take a great talent.

tek ranking #2.

7. Chargers: Mike Williams, Wide Receiver, Clemson

Another weapon for Rivers. Was impressive vs Bama. They will look at Safety RD2.

tek ranking #9.

8. Panthers: Leonard Fournette, Running Back, LSU

Panthers think his ankle is in good health and grab a huge RB with tons of upside.

tek ranking #5.

9. Titans: Marshon Lattimore, Cornerback, Ohio State

Titans take a great CB@ 9. CB is very deep this year & possibly the best CB class ever.
from rams trade

*TRADE DOWN WITH CINCY* receive 2017 # 9 and 2018 4th RD pick.

tek ranking #6.

10. Bills: Corey Davis, Wide Receiver, Western Michigan

Great WR for the Bills. Possible trade down for a QB later this draft.

tek ranking #13.

11. Saints: Derek Barnett, Defensive End, Tennessee

Looked great all season.

tek ranking #7.

12. Browns: Marlon Humphrey, Cornerback, Alabama

Browns grab a dynamic CB with their 2nd pick in RD one.

tek ranking #16.

13. Cardinals: Mitch Trubisky, Quarterback, North Carolina

Combine will be big for all the QB`s in 2017. Had a amazing year in 2017.Very accurate on most throws.Looked shaky in a few games this year but that was against top level talent. ( S. Thomas )

tek ranking #14.

14. Eagles: Quincy Wilson, Cornerback, Florida

A great CB falls to the Eagles. He looked solid at the combine but seems to be dropping down draft boards. They will address O-Line in RD2.
from viking trade

tek ranking #25.

15. Colts: Dalvin Cook, Running Back, Florida State

Colts take the best RB with a clean bill of health. Minor red flags with possible off-field issues has him falling slightly. Colts will look at O-line and defense RD 2 thru 4.

tek ranking # 10.

16. Ravens: Jabrill Peppers, Safety, Michigan

Ravens need to get younger on defense. Him playing so many positions in college has many wondering where he`ll fit. Players with versatility IMO offer value and need. He can focus on Safety but has the ability to help out on special teams,OLB,and some offense.

tek ranking #9.
