I don't understand this line at all. The Royals have the superior hitting, starting pitching and bullpen. The Angels are trash.

Also, I think Blantons only giving up a run in the first one time this year, so he starts out fairly strong. (I think that was the stat. I don't have time to go look it up again).

I do. I have no doubt that Jurrjens will breeze by in the first. He pitched a gem the last time vs. the Phillies. Blanton is where the bet will be won or lost. His ERA is a bit deceiving. If you take away his first two starts he's actually pitched well the last couple outings. Nothing special, but not bad. This series is huge for both teams. I see this game being a pitching duel early.

@dangers. You support my arguement saying its "harder due to the amount of games in a season" My point there's far less emotion if a baseball team loses a game. Theres too many games in baseball. I very rarely play baseball. I did much better with NCAA hoops. Clev st, Richmond, and (walters favorite)Morehead state. Lock bets are anyone who plays Marist (crap players and a horrible coach) NCAA football this year Stanford is gonna be a beast.

@dangers- It is stupid to risk so much to win less on a money line. If u play a spread and lose (nfl) the damage is the bet n vig. I never ever play a money line in football. rl is a suckers bet, u could still lose outright and the risk of winning by 2 runs is not a sound investment. You asked. I will say NBA was easier 10 years ago when teams played intense defense every night. Now NBA its a 3point-Dunk league with no defense. Hockey is tough now as well There are so many young talented goaliees in the NHL. If u make ur money through baseball then good for u.

to say ml and rl betting is stupid is a stupid comment !!! It's just harder due to the amount of games in a season. I dont know about you but I wish it was football season all the time . Betting would be alot easier. Personally I like betting on no runs in the 1st innings

Friday, we had the White sox a nice dog. The White sox won 4-3 over Oakland. Today, we are going with a hot NY.. Mets team over Houston. We are 4-3 for the week. Please give feedback and comments. I really like to hear what you guys are thinking and your plays. Good luck to all.

@dangers. I hope I can answer your question. In regards to football(college and nfl) ncaa hoops, and hockey. Point spreads in these are what make the action worth the gamble. These are also sports that require physical contact and high levels of emotional intensity. Baseball is more individual performance based. Your'e putting too much risk on a pitcher. Money lines are way too expensive on players like lincecum and halliday. The run line is a suckers bet. I feel under overs are the wiser plays, in baseball. These less emotion in baseball with 162games, you are gonna lose.

betting baseball is the worst thing to bet.. yesterday.. as u can see cards have a rookie closer that chalked up yesterdays game to experience... rockies were gonna hit at some point.

Marlins ML 5 Units --> 8.9 Units Atl/Phil (1st inn Draw) 3 Units --> 5.4 Units I don't play over / unders, but you got to like over 8 Washington / Marlins. Hernandez has surrendered 10 Runs in 10 innings vs. the Marlins this year. Washington has been scoring runs as of late, so this should be a higher scoring game.

Joe Blanton is an absolutely terrible pitcher and should not be favored on the road against anyone. I know the Astros stink, but so do the Angels. They've been overrated for years.

Minnesota Twins at Boston Red Sox.
Line: Twins +185; Red Sox -200.

It's no surprise that the Red Sox were swept in Texas. Their hot start was pretty unrealistic, and they're bound to regress to the norm. Considering they have no available bullpen tonight, the Twins at +185 looks like a decent deal. This line should probably be -170/+160.
