Mario Manningham isn't worth as much as guys with similar statistics because he makes way too many mistakes. Runs the wrong route, cuts off routes, dropped passes, tipped passes that get intercepted, penalties. He makes more negative plays than any wr I can think of. Mario Manningham and Pierre Garcon just aren't worth what their stats say and they both played with elite quarterbacks. Put them on a crappy team and their production drops and the mistakes are probably still there.

I think that you will also find that Head Coaches, GMs, and Owners are more cautious and conservative about sacrificing picks and money than the crazy bloggers who think they have Wallace locked up in NE, CIN, SF, MIN, etc. Except maybe Seattle management is kind of like crazy bloggers, because they usually do whatever the heck they want in Free Agency. LOL

@John L, You make a good point, but if Wallace is going anywhere it will be NE. First of all they have two 1st round picks. Second of all Wallace has a lot of friends who play for the Patriots and he will have Tom Brady throwing to him. However, There are so many talented FA WRs available I doubt anyone will even bother sacrificing a first round pick, just to overpay Wallace.

I am a Bengals fan and I would love the Bengals to offer Mike Wallace a four year deal that would give him a cap hit of nearly $20 million in the first year and then average out to about $6 million throughout the last three years. Cincinnati has nearly $40 million in available cap space. If that number was cut in half by Wallace's contract for this year, then figure an additional $5 million for rookies, the Bengals would have roughly $15 million to spend on additional Free Agents. I think they should re-sign Manny Lawson, Pacman, Jennings, and Nelson to one-year deals and look to re-sign Anthony Collins and Dennis Roland. Let's say all of those moves would use $10 million, then use the extra $5 million to sign Chilo Rachal (Paul Alexander and Jim McNally could very well help him rebound) and as a buffer. The fact that they haven't cut Chris Crocker depresses me.

However, I think that Denver is a natural place for Mike Wallace to land. John Elway might look to land another stud Wideout to help Tim Tebow grow as a passer (or have pieces in place if they decide to move in a different direction in the future). Denver has close to $25 million to spend and is drafting 25th overall; the Broncos could look at who will probably be available for them there and pull the trigger on a deal.

I know Pittsburgh is tied up financially, but they have really left themselves wide open to criticism if Mike Wallace gets signed by another team. I know they have tendered him for a first round pick, which eliminates most of the teams in the league. However, any team picking in the 20's could make him an offer that the Steelers would struggle to match.
I am a Bengals fan and the way I look at it is this:
If Cincinnati give up the 21st pick for Wallace, he is a proven commodity who changes games, plus losing Wallace to a division rival will really hurt. The advantage of taking on a player like Wallace is you realistically know what you are going to get, where as a player like Michael Floyd, who will be picked around about that spot, might take a few years to determine if he is any good or not.
The flip side of this is also a positive for the Pittsburgh rivals, as they can match the contract terms if they so choose. By doing this, their salary cap problems would become even worse with there being even more cap casualties.
To me this scenario is a win win, but I don't think Mike Brown will entertaining this idea, but I would try and hurt my rivals given any opportunity!

Whoever wrote this article is an idiot. He says some really good players are overrated and some bad ones are underrated. There are players like that in the league, but not the ones this guy mentioned. Also can't beleive Welker is only 4 stars after the past few amazing seasons with the Pats.

Randy moss is better than T.O.

why is moss below t.o. T. o. is older, so moss has a ew more years in him and should be 59.

The pats better pick up Wes welker and deon branch. Also try to get randy moss he might have another good year or two.
