The reason I took the Magic on the road was because of two reasons:
1) The Magic are one of the best, if not the best, road team in the NBA.
2) Hamilton AND Prince were out for the Pistons.
There are three reasons why I lost, none of which could be foreseeable:
1) Dwight Howard got in foul trouble early and was taken out of the game. Factor in his 20 points and it would've been a different game.
2) I hate to call it, but the refs blew chunks in this game. They missed a lot of calls for both teams, but it seemed a little more against the Magic. They missed Bynum getting his eye taken out, which leads me to:
3) Will Bynum's best impression of Willis Reed in New York. This guy was nearly blinded, left the game, came back, took out Howard and won the game for the Pistons.
Just goes to prove that you can read a game very well and still lose.
Mavs outscore the Jazz by 22 in the 4th for yet another bad beat.
Gah!
Man, I took the Jazz and the Lakers too. Even backed it up with a 4 pt Jazz/Lakers teaser and still got screwed. The refs in the Laker game did everything in their power to keep the game close at the end. There were a couple of blatant non-calls at the end of regulation that essentially ended any hope of the Lakers covering. The refs are definitely bias against Kobe. The Jazz just had to not lose by 11.....****
My dad taught me a valuable lesson that I just recently cared to listen to.
When betting basketball, take at least 5-6 picks a night. Why? Because any team can beat any team on any given night, and what might look like a sure game may be fixed.
So from here on out, I will only post 5-6 picks a night.
