NFL Week 17 Fantasy Running Back Rankings
|
To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.
Below are my fantasy running back rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season. The rankings are based on a traditional scoring system. Compensate for PPR and touchdown leagues accordingly. |

2012 Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings: QB | RB | WR | TE | DEF
Updated 12/30 - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
- Adrian Peterson, Vikings
Adrian Peterson is gunning for Eric Dickerson's record, but the Packers just limited the Titans to 47 rushing yards.
- Arian Foster, Texans
Arian Foster will play despite the irregular heartbeat. He should be able to bounce back against an Indianapolis team with nothing to play for.
- Marshawn Lynch, Seahawks
The Rams are two weeks removed from allowing 217 rushing yards to the Vikings. You have to like Marshawn Lynch's chances.
- Alfred Morris, Redskins
Alfred Morris keeps scoring touchdowns. He'll have plenty of opportunities against Dallas' terrible defense.
- LeSean McCoy, Eagles
The Giants just surrendered 237 rushing yards to the Ravens. Their defense has fallen apart.
- C.J. Spiller, Bills
C.J. Spiller is finally getting the appropriate amount of touches because Fred Jackson is out. He'll be able to gash the Jets' poor run defense.
- Frank Gore, 49ers
The Cardinals are absolutely terrible against the run. Frank Gore should be able to rebound.
- Knowshon Moreno, Broncos
The Chiefs surrendered 199 rushing yards to the Raiders two weeks ago. That's all you need to know.
- DeMarco Murray, Cowboys
DeMarco Murray scored touchdowns in three straight games prior to Sunday. He should be able to bounce back against a mediocre Washington ground defense.
- Jamaal Charles, Chiefs
Jamaal Charles exploded against the Colts, but he won't be able to duplicate his 200-yard performance against the Broncos.
- Reggie Bush, Dolphins
Reggie Bush has been on fire, but Bill Belichick is the master of taking away one aspect from a team. He'll focus on shutting down Bush.
- Doug Martin, Buccaneers
Doug Martin has struggled in terms of running the ball lately, but the Falcons could be taking it easy with resting their starters.
- Matt Forte, Bears - 12/30
Matt Forte is active.
- Chris Johnson, Titans - 12/30
Chris Johnson's dancing habits aren't working out so well now that his offensive line is in shambles. Fortunately for him, the Jaguars have allowed four consecutive teams to rush for 100-plus yards. Johnson is active.
- Steven Jackson, Rams
The Seahawks just limited the 49ers to 51 rushing yards. Good luck, Steven Jackson.
- Ahmad Bradshaw, Giants
The last time the Eagles allowed fewer than 100 rushing yards to an opponent was Thanksgiving weekend. Ahmad Bradshaw will be healthier.
- Darren Sproles, Saints (PPR+)
Darren Sproles will continue to rack up enough receiving numbers to be a PPR stud and a standard flex option.
- Stevan Ridley, Patriots
Bill Belichick seems determined to have Stevan Ridley as his feature back, but if Ridley fumbles, he will be yanked.
- Shonn Greene, Jets
Shonn Greene has three touchdowns in his previous three games. He battles the Bills, who are 30th against the rush.
- Darren McFadden, Raiders
Darren McFadden still doesn't look like the same running back. The Chargers are seventh against the run (3.9 YPC).
- Bernard Pierce, Ravens
Bernard Pierce will carry the load with Ray Rice set to play just one series.
- DeAngelo Williams, Panthers
The Saints can't stop the run. Jonathan Stewart is out again.
- Mikel Leshoure, Lions
Mikel Leshoure has five touchdowns in his previous six games, but he gets no receiving work because of Joique Bell.
- Mark Ingram, Saints
The Saints seem determine to give Mark Ingram more carries now, but the Panthers have been great against the run lately.
- BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Bengals
The Bengals have nothing to play for, so they could be resting their starters.
- Vick Ballard, Colts
The Colts have nothing to play for, so they could be resting their starters.
- Michael Turner, Falcons
The Falcons have nothing to play for, so they could be resting their starters.
- Montario Hardesty, Browns
- David Wilson, Giants
- Joique Bell, Lions
- Chris Ivory, Saints
- Danny Woodhead, Patriots
- Rashard Mendenhall, Steelers
- Jonathan Dwyer, Steelers
- Alex Green, Packers
- Chris Wells, Cardinals
- Ben Tate, Texans
- Keith Toston, Jaguars
- Ryan Grant, Packers
- Jackie Battle, Chargers
- Bilal Powell, Jets
- Peyton Hillis, Chiefs
- Jacquizz Rodgers, Falcons
- Mike Goodson, Raiders
- Ronnie Brown, Chargers
- Ray Rice, Ravens (1-2 series) - 12/30
- Bryce Brown, Eagles
- Shane Vereen, Patriots
- DuJuan Harris, Packers
- Isaac Redman, Steelers
- Mike Tolbert, Panthers
- Marcel Reece, Raiders
- Ronnie Hillman, Broncos
- Daryl Richardson, Rams
- Jonathan Stewart, Panthers (out) - 12/30
- James Starks, Packers (out) - 12/29
- Maurice Jones-Drew, Jaguars (out) - 12/29
- Montell Owens, Jaguars (out) - 12/30
- Rashad Jennings, Jaguars (out) - 12/26
- Trent Richardson, Browns (out) - 12/29
- Pierre Thomas, Saints (out) - 12/29
