Chet Gresham's Week 3 Fantasy Football WR Rankings

by Chet Gresham - on Twitter

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on Walt's Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy WR rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season. If you don't like my rankings, check out Walter's fantasy football rankings.

The rankings are based on a scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

But who do I start...

Updated 9/20 - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers (at Bears)- 13 Points
    7 Catches, 78 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bears tend to limit No. 1 receivers, but last week Mike Evans got to them fast. Brown is also a special player who you can't downgrade much against the Bears' personnel.

  2. A.J. Green, WR, Bengals (at Packers)- 13 Points
    6 Catches, 72 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bengals have been awful, but Green can beat the Packers' defense with consistency, and after he voiced his displeasure about the offense, expect him to see plenty of targets.

  3. Julio Jones, WR, Falcons (at Lions)- 12 Points
    6 Catches, 66 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
This game has a chance to be close, and Jones could finally be used extensively, which means lots of fantasy points.

  4. Mike Evans, WR, Bucs (at Vikings)- 11 Points
    5 Catches, 53 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Evans looked good against the Bears, but will likely have trouble with Xavier Rhodes this week. Evans is too good to knock down too far, but he's not in the first tier this week.

  5. Odell Beckham, WR, Giants (at Eagles)- 10 Points
    6 Catches, 47 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Beckham should be much closer to 100 percent this week after not facing any setbacks in Week 2. He's going to break out at some point, but he still feels like a boom-or-bust candidate.

  6. Jordy Nelson, WR, Packers (vs. Bengals)- 10 Points
    5 Catches, 46 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
We'll need to learn more about his injury status, but if he's good to go, expect another top-flight game.

  7. Demaryius Thomas, WR, Broncos (at Bills)- 10 Points
    6 Catches, 105 Receiving Yards.
Siemian isn't going to be as precise as Peyton Manning when distributing touchdowns between his top-two receivers, but I expect Thomas to see a few extra targets near the goal line after Emmanuel Sanders reeled in two touchdowns last week.

  8. Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Panthers (vs. Saints)- 10 Points
    5 Catches, 104 Receiving Yards.
Benjamin should be in line for a touchdown this week, especially with Greg Olsen out. Don't overthink this one.

  9. Terrelle Pryor, WR, Redskins (vs. Raiders)- 10 Points
    5 Catches, 44 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
This is Pryor's best shot of breaking out, and I think it happens. If not, he is dead to me!

  10. Michael Crabtree, WR, Raiders (at Redskins)- 10 Points
    5 Catches, 44 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Crabtree is a beast in the red zone and has shown better than Amari Cooper near the goal line. Expect Crabtree to continue seeing red-zone targets, especially if Josh Norman shadows Cooper.

  11. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers (vs. Chiefs)- 10 Points
    6 Catches, 42 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Allen is almost impossible to stop over the middle and should continue to be a player who won't be overmatched and have a good fantasy floor.

  12. Amari Cooper, WR, Raiders (at Redskins)- 10 Points
    6 Catches, 101 Receiving Yards.
I see Cooper getting his shots in the red zone this week, but he'll likely see a lot of Josh Norman.

  13. Dez Bryant, WR, Cowboys (at Cardinals)- 10 Points
    4 Catches, 41 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Bryant should be shadowed by Patrick Peterson this week, giving him a third game in which he'll see tremendous individual defense. Bryant's always in line for a touchdown like he wrangled against Aqib Talib last week, so you can't throw him to the wayside.

  14. Alshon Jeffery, WR, Eagles (vs. Giants)- 10 Points
    5 Catches, 41 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Jeffery would get a big bump if Janoris Jenkins is out again, but it does look like he'll be able to play. I expect Ertz to be the go-to guy this week, but Jeffery is always a good bet for a touchdown.

  15. Brandin Cooks, WR, Patriots (vs. Texans)- 10 Points
    5 Catches, 41 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  16. Tyreek Hill, WR, Chiefs (at Chargers)- 10 Points
    7 Catches, 101 Receiving Yards.

  17. Golden Tate, WR, Lions (vs. Falcons)- 10 Points
    6 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  18. DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Texans (at Patriots)- 9 Points
    6 Catches, 99 Receiving Yards.

  19. Jarvis Landry, WR, Dolphins (at Jets)- 9 Points
    7 Catches, 98 Receiving Yards.

  20. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals (vs. Cowboys)- 9 Points
    6 Catches, 98 Receiving Yards.

  21. Michael Thomas, WR, Saints (at Panthers)- 9 Points
    6 Catches, 37 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  22. Stefon Diggs, WR, Vikings (vs. Buccaneers)- 9 Points
    6 Catches, 96 Receiving Yards.

  23. Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Broncos (at Bills)- 9 Points
    5 Catches, 96 Receiving Yards.

  24. DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins (at Jets)- 9 Points
    5 Catches, 35 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  25. Doug Baldwin, WR, Seahawks (at Titans)- 9 Points
    6 Catches, 95 Receiving Yards.

  26. Martavis Bryant, WR, Steelers (at Bears)- 9 Points
    4 Catches, 92 Receiving Yards.

  27. Davante Adams, WR, Packers (vs. Bengals)- 8 Points
    5 Catches, 89 Receiving Yards.

  28. T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts (vs. Browns)- 8 Points
    4 Catches, 87 Receiving Yards.

  29. Pierre Garcon, WR, 49ers (vs. Rams)- 8 Points
    4 Catches, 86 Receiving Yards.

  30. J.J. Nelson, WR, Cardinals (vs. Cowboys)- 8 Points
    4 Catches, 86 Receiving Yards.

  31. Randall Cobb, WR, Packers (vs. Bengals)- 8 Points
    6 Catches, 85 Receiving Yards.

  33. Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings (vs. Buccaneers)- 7 Points
    4 Catches, 79 Receiving Yards.

  34. Jeremy Maclin, WR, Ravens (at Jaguars)- 7 Points
    5 Catches, 78 Receiving Yards.

  35. Marqise Lee, WR, Jaguars (vs. Ravens)- 7 Points
