Chet Gresham's Week 17 Fantasy Football FLEX Rankings

by Chet Gresham - on Twitter

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on Walt's Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy FLEX rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season.

The rankings are based on a traditional scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings: QB | RB | WR | TE | DEF | FLEX

Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings - PPR: RB | WR | TE | FLEX

But who do I start...

Quarterback
Wide Receiver
Running Back
Tight End

Updated 12/29 - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints (at Buccaneers)- 18 Points
50 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Kamara had a monster game the last time he faced Tampa Bay, and I expect more of the same in a game the Saints need for their playoff hopes.

  2. LeSean McCoy, RB, Bills (at Dolphins)- 17 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 35 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
McCoy gets a good matchup in Miami, and his team won't let up, as Buffalo need a win to have any chance to make the playoffs.

  3. Mark Ingram, RB, Saints (at Buccaneers)- 17 Points
65 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 45 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Ingram took a backseat to Kamara the last time these two teams met, but still rushed for over 70 yards. This duo has consistently put together strong fantasy games in the same game, so I'm not too worried about Ingram.

  4. Jamaal Williams, RB, Packers (at Lions)- 17 Points
90 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Williams gets a great matchup and will see the majority of the work with Aaron Jones out.

  5. Alex Collins, RB, Ravens (vs. Bengals)- 16 Points
85 Rushing Yards, 3 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Without Vontaze Burfict, the Bengals have been poor against the run, and the Ravens need this game to secure a playoff spot.

  6. Kenyan Drake, RB, Dolphins (vs. Bills)- 16 Points
75 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 25 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Drake is set up well against a Buffalo defense that has allowed the most fantasy points to running backs and was just torched by Dion Lewis.

  7. Derrick Henry, RB, Titans (vs. Jaguars)- 16 Points
55 Rushing Yards, 4 Catches, 45 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Henry will face a Jaguars team that is slightly less dominant against the run than the pass, and he should get the full workload with DeMarco Murray hurt. Add in the fact that the Titans need to win to get into the playoffs, and I think we'll see Henry break a couple of runs.

  8. Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers (vs. Raiders)- 16 Points
    7 Catches, 100 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Sticking with the motivation theme, Allen should be heavily targeted in a must-win game, especially if Melvin Gordon isn't 100 percent.

  9. Julio Jones, WR, Falcons (vs. Panthers)- 15 Points
    6 Catches, 95 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Jones shouldn't have any trouble with the Panthers' poor pass defense this week.

  10. Michael Thomas, WR, Saints (at Buccaneers)- 15 Points
    6 Catches, 95 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Thomas is getting limited practices in this week, so should be good to go in a game the Saints want to win for playoff seeding. He gets the best matchup an outside receiver can get, so play him at will.

  11. Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers (vs. Raiders)- 15 Points
80 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 15 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
We'll need to see if Gordon practices and looks like he'll be able to play full snaps this week, but if that's the prognosis, then he's a must-start in a must-win game for the Chargers.

  12. Marvin Jones, WR, Lions (vs. Packers)- 15 Points
    6 Catches, 90 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Jones has played well against the Packers since joining the Lions and should be able to keep that going at home to finish the season.

  13. C.J. Anderson, RB, Broncos (vs. Chiefs)- 15 Points
65 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 25 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Kansas City will rest key players this week, plus Anderson has made a strong push over the last few games. I expect the Broncos will give him plenty of work with Paxton Lynch steering the boat into the shallows.

  14. Dion Lewis, RB, Patriots (vs. Jets)- 15 Points
75 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 15 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Lewis gets a great opportunity this week to likely salt away a lead for the Patriots, much like last week.

  15. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals (at Seahawks)- 14 Points
    7 Catches, 85 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Fitzgerald will again be a target-hog with Drew Stanton at quarterback, so expect plenty of receptions and hope for a touchdown.

  16. Latavius Murray, RB, Vikings (vs. Bears)- 14 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 15 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  17. Devonta Freeman, RB, Falcons (vs. Panthers)- 14 Points
75 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  18. Marquise Goodwin, WR, 49ers (at Rams)- 14 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Goodwin has been solid with Garoppolo under center, and with the Rams resting some starters, I expect Goodwin will continue to do well.

  19. T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts (vs. Texans)- 14 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Hilton dismantled the Texans the last time they met and has been good against very weak pass defenses this season.

  20. Jordan Howard, RB, Bears (at Vikings)- 14 Points
55 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 25 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  21. Carlos Hyde, RB, 49ers (at Rams)- 14 Points
65 Rushing Yards, 2 Catches, 15 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  22. Doug Baldwin, WR, Seahawks (vs. Cardinals)- 13 Points
    5 Catches, 75 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Baldwin isn't getting nearly the targets he needs to be consistent, but he's still the No. 1 target in a game the Seahawks need to win to get into the playoffs.

  23. Jerick McKinnon, RB, Vikings (vs. Bears)- 13 Points
70 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 5 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  24. Lamar Miller, RB, Texans (at Colts)- 13 Points
65 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  25. Marshawn Lynch, RB, Raiders (at Chargers)- 13 Points
65 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  26. Frank Gore, RB, Colts (vs. Texans)- 13 Points
65 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  27. Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers (at Falcons)- 13 Points
25 Rushing Yards, 5 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  28. Golden Tate, WR, Lions (vs. Packers)- 13 Points
    6 Catches, 75 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  29. Jarvis Landry, WR, Dolphins (vs. Bills)- 13 Points
    5 Catches, 75 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  30. Mike Evans, WR, Bucs (vs. Saints)- 13 Points
    6 Catches, 75 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  31. Will Fuller, WR, Texans (at Colts)- 13 Points
    5 Catches, 75 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  32. Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings (vs. Bears)- 13 Points
    5 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Thielen has had two down games in a row, so I expect the Vikings will work at getting him going before the playoffs.

  33. Stefon Diggs, WR, Vikings (vs. Bears)- 13 Points
    5 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  34. Michael Crabtree, WR, Raiders (at Chargers)- 13 Points
    5 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  35. A.J. Green, WR, Bengals (at Ravens)- 13 Points
    5 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  36. Jamison Crowder, WR, Redskins (at Giants)- 12 Points
    4 Catches, 65 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  37. Mike Wallace, WR, Ravens (vs. Bengals)- 12 Points
    5 Catches, 65 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  38. Brandin Cooks, WR, Patriots (vs. Jets)- 12 Points
    5 Catches, 65 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  39. Devin Funchess, WR, Panthers (at Falcons)- 12 Points
    4 Catches, 65 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  40. Robby Anderson, WR, Jets (at Patriots)- 12 Points
    5 Catches, 65 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  41. Mohamed Sanu, WR, Falcons (vs. Panthers)- 12 Points
    4 Catches, 65 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  42. Demaryius Thomas, WR, Broncos (vs. Chiefs)- 12 Points
    5 Catches, 65 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  43. Bilal Powell, RB, Jets (at Patriots)- 12 Points
55 Rushing Yards, 1 Catch, 5 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  44. Keelan Cole, WR, Jaguars (at Titans)- 12 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  45. Rishard Matthews, WR, Titans (vs. Jaguars)- 11 Points
    3 Catches, 55 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  46. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Steelers (vs. Browns)- 11 Points
    5 Catches, 55 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  47. Josh Gordon, WR, Browns (at Steelers)- 11 Points
    5 Catches, 55 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.

  48. Ted Ginn Jr., WR, Saints (at Buccaneers)- 11 Points
