Each offseason brings change to NFL rosters, and those changes often have fantasy implications. Below, I lay out the changes at the skill positions and how those moves impact the fantasy status of the new roster.
2017

Pre-Draft Offseason:
The Chargers had a good squad last season, but did their normal thing of losing games inexplicably and with consistency. They must feel good about their core, as they haven’t made any big moves so far this offseason.
Getting Keenan Allen back for a full 16 games was probably the best thing that could have happened to the Chargers’ offense last season, and making Hunter Henry more of a priority in 2018 could boost their production even more.
Post-Draft Update
The Chargers went with safety Derwin James out of Florida State with the 17th-overall pick, which makes one of the best pass defenses even better. After allowing the fewest points all last season, this team will once again be a force defensively. The Chargers also beefed up the defensive line, which already was strong.
To finish off their draft, the Chargers grabbed wide receiver Dylan Cantrell out of Texas Tech and running back Justin Jackson from Northwestern. Both players have good NFL prospects despite their falls in the draft, and Jackson has more immediate possibilities because he could win the backup job to Gordon. Don’t let Jackson go undrafted in your dynasty leagues.

Stud: Melvin Gordon, Keenan Allen, Hunter Henry
Solid: Philip Rivers
Sleeper: Justin Jackson
