C.J. Anderson, RB, Broncos 
Devontae Booker is expected to push C.J. Anderson for carries, according to Jeff Legwold, ESPN. Daniel Jeremiah said something similar during NFL Network’s draft coverage. Anderson has begun slowly the past two seasons, so that could give the talented Booker a window to break through. Anderson should still be considered a high-end RB2, but he comes with a ton of risk.
Corey Coleman, WR, Browns Corey Coleman reported to Browns’ minicamp out of shape. It’s still early, and plenty of out-of-shape players have gone on to enjoy stellar seasons, but this is obviously not a good omen for the rookie wideout.
Julian Edelman, WR, Patriots Julian Edelman had a second surgery on his left foot. It appears as though he’ll be ready to go by training camp, but it’s still a reason to worry about drafting such an injury-prone player. Edelman has played a full 16-game campaign just once in his seven professional years.
Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers Melvin Gordon underwent microfracture knee surgery. So much for Gordon being a nice buy-low candidate. Players coming off microfracture surgery have a dubious history. It’s not out of the question that Gordon will bounce back, but I wouldn’t bet on it – at least not this year.
Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Titans Dorial Green-Beckham is dealing with a hamstring injury. If you’ve been following the site for a while, you know my stance on soft-tissue injuries. It’s still way too early to be concerned, but this is something I’ll be monitoring throughout the summer.
Sterling Shepard, WR, Giants 
Sterling Shepard will be given every opportunity to be the Giants No. 2 receiver, according to Dan Graziano, ESPN. Chet Gresham wrote, “Shepard should be able to beat out Victor Cruz, as he is already a proficient route runner with solid hands. There is no reason to hold off on Shepard in redraft leagues this season.”
Ryan Tannehill, QB, Dolphins Peyton Manning showed up to Miami’s facilities to help coach Ryan Tannehill. Adam Gase is the connection with Manning. I don’t know how much this will help Tannehill, but it certainly can’t hurt. In a new offense, Tannehill is worth looking into as a QB2 with some upside.
