Anybody who would dare take Gates where Walt has him ranked will lose their league.

I really don't get it with the Gates hype this season... yea, I know he can outscore most WR2's on any given weak, so that makes him a great bonus to have at a relatively weak position like TE. But he's 31 and has now missed 5 games in a row if you count the preseason.

At 6'5'' 250 pounds, he'll be running through the pain of a plantar fasciitis injury for as many games as he can tough out this year... let's say he plays 14 games (generous) and isn't more than 80% healthy in any game. That's gonna make it a lot easier for Rivers to establish a new favorite receiver (hello... JACKSON!)

People are payin for a career year with this guy and there's no way he's gonna improve. I'm stayin far, far away

There is only 1 running back in all of tier 5? Thats right where I'm going to be picking for the first time after I keep my two keepers in my 14 team lague.

Looks like Walt is finally seeing the light. Turner at 32 this week because he showed "explosion" in week 1 of pre-season. What a joke. The "rationale" he had was that Turner would wear down and be injury prone because of his high amount of carries. 4 "explosive" carries in a preseason game, in which EVERYONE is fresh, equals a 24 slot boost? How does he jump this high because of 4 carries? Walt, wasn't your argument for Turner that he would wear down and be an injury risk? Do 4 carries in pre-season take that whole thought process away. I love your rankings, but this one doesn't make sense to me. Did you really expect Turner to come out running a 5.0 forty and falling down on first contact?

Same points sure, but who are you going to pick up out of the free agent list who will get you points? RBs are thin this year and someone who is injury prone is a HUGE risk in round 1. Obviously 15 every week and 20 every week isn't realistic because stats will fluctuate but if you told me DMC would be hurt 4 games and Charles would play all of them and they would have the same total points, im taking Charles. Free Agent running back in weeks 13-16 equals no championship. Enjoy having Kenneth Darby in your lineup week 16.

@kippaaa - You would honestly have Charles run 15 ppg per game instead of having DMC average 20 ppg and miss 4 games? You are retarded. Look at the math behind your statement:
Charles: 15 ppg x 16 games = 240
DMC: 20 ppg x 12 games = 240

They are equal backs first of all by your logic AND if DMC is injured, you can replace him with a free agent back at 5ppg for those 4 games... I hate you.

Walt,

You have LaDainian Tomlinson twice on your Top 150, he is at 102 and 149 on today (Aug 12) edition.

Honestly kippaaa you do know this website is his opinion on projections. He feels Michael Turner will be a complete bust. You dont have to agree, but saying other websites rank him higher is not relevant. At least he puts rational behind his rankings and its up to you whether you want to follow it or not.

Why is Braylon Edwards so low? You wouldn't want the #1 receiver in the harbaugh offense until the 70s? Alex and him have been clicking in camp.
