  1. Cleveland Browns: Montravius Adams, DE/DT, Auburn
With Desmond Bryant hitting free agency next year, the Browns will be on the lookout for an insurance policy in the interior of their defensive line.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
The 49ers signed Pierre Garcon, but are still pretty devoid of talent at receiver. JuJu Smith-Schuster provides some solid value, as he could easily be taken in the middle of the second round.

  3. Chicago Bears: Larry Ogunjobi, DT, Charlotte
There’s some dilemma in taking Jonathan Allen with the third-overall pick if he’s just going to be a rotational player, so something like this makes more sense to bolster the defensive line.

Pick change; previously Carlos Henderson, WR

  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ahkello Witherspoon, CB, Colorado
The Jaguars have a bunch of nickel cornerbacks and need more players at the position who can play on the outside.

Pick change; previously David Sharpe, OT

  5. Los Angeles Rams: Tim Williams, DE/OLB, Alabama
The Rams signed Connor Barwin to start across from Robert Quinn, but he’s just a short-term solution at outside linebacker. Here’s something for the long haul, though it’s unclear if the Jeff Fisher-less Rams will still take chances on troubled players like Tim Williams.

  6. New York Jets: Taylor Moton, OT, Western Michigan
One of the many things the Jets need to address is the tackle position. Kelvin Beachum was signed, but he has a dubious injury history.

Pick change; previously Marcus Williams, S

  7. Los Angeles Chargers: Nathan Peterman, QB, Pittsburgh
Philip Rivers expects his team to add a quarterback at some point in the 2017 NFL Draft. That could happen in the Round 3-5 range.

Pick change; previously Dion Dawkins, G

  8. New England Patriots: Trey Hendrickson, DE, Florida Atlantic
The Patriots traded for Kony Ealy, but it still wouldn’t surprise me if they obtained another defensive end after losing Chris Long.

  9. Cincinnati Bengals: Isaac Asiata, G, Utah
The Bengals lost multiple key offensive linemen this offseason, so they’ll have to dedicate some resources to make sure their blocking unit is still functional.

  10. Baltimore Ravens: Caleb Brantley, DT, Florida
The Ravens need to address their defensive line in the wake of the Timmy Jernigan trade, and Caleb Brantley provides great value here.

Pick change; previously Malachi Dupre, WR

  11. Buffalo Bills: Jalen Tabor, CB, Florida
The Bills lost Stephon Gilmore to the Patriots. I imagine their fans are already imagining worst-case scenarios. Buffalo needs a cornerback to replace Gilmore.

  12. New Orleans Saints: Brad Kaaya, QB, Miami
The Saints don’t have a successor for Drew Brees, so this could be the time to obtain a potential future quarterback.

Pick change; previously Desmond King, S/CB

  13. Arizona Cardinals: Malik McDowell, DE/DT, Michigan State
Malik McDowell has interviewed extremely poorly with everyone and could drop as a result. The Cardinals are a team that could look past that.

Pick change; previously Curtis Samuel, WR

  14. Baltimore Ravens: Ryan Anderson, DE/OLB, Alabama
The top pass-rushers were all off the board by the time the Ravens were on the clock at No. 16 in this mock draft update. Luckily for them, this class is stacked as far as edge rushers are concerned. A replacement for Elvis Dumervil can be obtained here.

  15. Minnesota Vikings: Nico Siragusa, G, San Diego State
The Vikings attempted to upgrade their offensive line this offseason, but it seems like they didn’t do a very good job. They added two underwhelming tackles and didn’t upgrade one of the troublesome guard slots. Here’s their chance to add some talent to the blocking unit.

Pick change; previously Carlos Watkins, DT

  16. Indianapolis Colts: Blair Brown, LB, Ohio
The Colts signed Sean Spence this offseason, but he’s not nearly enough to fix their glaring inside linebacker problem.

  17. Washington Redskins: Justin Evans, S, Texas A&M
The Redskins are getting a great value pick in Justin Evans, who could be chosen early in the second round. More secondary help makes sense.

  18. Denver Broncos: Marlon Mack, RB, South Florida
Denver’s offense fell apart when C.J. Anderson was injured, so I imagine the Broncos are going to spend a Round 2-4 selection on a running back.

  19. Tennessee Titans: Carlos Henderson, WR, Louisiana Tech
The Titans attempted to trade for Brandin Cooks this offseason, but obviously failed to do so. They’ll be hunting for a receiver upgrade with one of their first few picks.

  20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tarell Basham, DE, Ohio
The Buccaneers could use another edge rusher, as Robert Ayers isn’t a long-term solution.

  21. Detroit Lions: Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson
The Lions don’t have anything beyond Eric Ebron at tight end, which is a problem because Ebron has been a disappointment as a first-round pick. Here’s a potential solution.

  22. Minnesota Vikings: Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson
Missing Sharrif Floyd hurt this past season, and Mike Zimmer didn’t sound like he’d be able to trust Floyd going forward. Here’s an insurance policy.

Pick change; previously D’Onta Foreman, RB

  23. New York Giants: Samaje Perine, RB, Oklahoma
The Giants could look into adding a running back during the second day of the 2017 NFL Draft. Samaje Perine seems like a perfect complement for Paul Perkins.

Pick change; previously Taylor Moton, OT

  24. Oakland Raiders: Kareem Hunt, RB, Toledo
Latavius Murray went to Minnesota, so all the Raiders have left at running back are DeAndre Washington and Jalen Richard.

  25. Houston Texans: Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama
The Texans desperately need a receiving threat at tight end, and Gerald Everett is one of many talented tight ends in this draft class.

Pick change; previously Ahkello Witherspoon, CB

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Carl Lawson, DE/OLB, Auburn
The Seahawks are looking for another edge rusher, and Carl Lawson has many of the traits they look for in their draft choices.

Pick change; previously Daeshon Hall, DE

  27. Kansas City Chiefs: Daeshon Hall, DE, Texas A&M
Dee Ford is an impending free agent after this season, while Tamba Hali may not be around for a while. Kansas City could take an edge rusher in this draft.

Pick change; previously Carl Lawson, DE

  28. Dallas Cowboys: Shaquill Griffin, CB, Central Florida
As mentioned in the first round, the Cowboys are expected to address the defense early and often. Cornerback help is sorely needed with Morris Claiborne gone. As luck would have it, this class is stacked at corner.

  29. Green Bay Packers: Taywan Taylor, WR, Western Kentucky
Davante Adams will be a free agent after this season, and he could be too expensive to keep. The Packers may want to add a receiver as a result.

  30. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
Ben Roethlisberger reportedly asked for the front office to find him a new tight end. This is some major value, as Jake Butt getting hurt caused him to drop two rounds.

  31. Atlanta Falcons: Dalvin Tomlinson, DT, Alabama
The Falcons could stand to upgrade the interior of their defensive line, and they could be targeting someone like Dalvin Tomlinson.

  32. New England Patriots: Alex Anzalone, LB, Florida
The Patriots traded away Jamie Collins last season, and yet they still won the Super Bowl without him. Still, I can’t imagine they would’ve been in such a big hole versus Atlanta with Collins on the field, so he’ll need to be replaced.

  33. Miami Dolphins: Dawuane Smoot, DE/OLB, Illinois
The Dolphins have a pair of defensive ends who could potentially not be on the roster next year. They need young blood at the position.

Pick change; previously Brad Kaaya, QB

  34. Carolina Panthers: DeMarcus Walker, DE, Florida State
DeMarcus Walker provides nice value here as a potential replacement for Charles Johnson or Julius Peppers as a starter in 2018 and beyond.

Pick change; previously Antonio Garcia, OT

  35. Philadelphia Eagles: James Conner, RB, Pittsburgh
The Eagles like James Conner and would want to select him around this area. They have an obvious need at running back that needs to be addressed.

  36. Tennessee Titans: Desmond King, S/CB, Iowa
The Titans signed John Cyprien to help their poor safety situation, but depth could still be obtained later in the draft.

Pick change; previously Dawuane Smoot, DE

  37. Denver Broncos: ArDarius Stewart, WR, Alabama
The Broncos need to find a third receiver to go along with Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, as they don’t have anything beyond those two.

  38. Seattle Seahawks: Cordrea Tankersley, CB, Clemson
I think two early cornerbacks makes a lot of sense for the Seahawks, as they would use Cordrea Tankersley outside, across from Richard Sherman, and Jourdan Lewis in the slot. Tankersley, like Lewis, is a great fit for Seattle.

  39. New Orleans Saints: T.J. Logan, RB, North Carolina
The Saints lost Tim Hightower to free agency, so they once again don’t have much behind Mark Ingram. They could stand to add a running back on Day 2.

  40. Kansas City Chiefs: Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland
Andy Reid loves using multiple tight ends, so this is an option despite Travis Kelce being on the roster.

  41. Pittsburgh Steelers: Carroll Phillips, DE/OLB, Illinois
The Steelers could use an edge rusher after losing Jarvis Jones this offseason. James Harrison won’t last much longer.

  42. Seattle Seahawks: George Kittle, TE, Iowa
George Kittle is the sort of athletic player the Seahawks like. He could start in 2018 if Jimmy Graham isn’t retained as a free agent then.

  43. New York Jets: Duke Riley, LB, LSU
The Jets attempted to sign Dont’a Hightower in free agency this spring, but failed to acquire him. It’s clear that they want to find an inside linebacker to start alongside Darron Lee.
