  1. St. Louis Rams: Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan State
Have I mentioned this is a ridiculously deep class on the defensive line? The Rams have dumped a couple and added a couple in the free agency shuffle. St. Louis definitely will be keeping its eyes wide open for value picks on the inside of the defensive line, hoping that Robert Quinn and Chris Long continue to develop together on the outside.

Pick change; previously Mike Adams, OT

  2. MISSING

  3. Indianapolis Colts: Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford
Mock drafts are supposed to be fun on some level while also trying to be as accurate and plausible as humanly possible given the limited information we have access to. In this case, we get to have a little fun imagining the Luck-to-Fleener connection staying together. Indianapolis is very thin at the tight end position and might even consider a move up to secure the top threat.

  4. Minnesota Vikings: Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina
Wide receivers are a strange breed. Those who watched Jeffery terrorize the SEC probably wonder why he is not a consensus first-round pick. This is a really good example of watching football and analyzing football.

To be a professional requires a level of dedication that not everyone has and Jeffreys weight fluctuations raise red flags. I believe the Vikings are a great landing spot for him, however, because if he does straighten out, he can be the top threat they covet.

  5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: David Wilson, RB, Virginia Tech
Obviously, the Buccaneers would love to get their hands on Trent Richardson and might even trade up to No. 3 to get him. If that doesnt happen, this is not a bad backup plan.

Pick change; previously Lavonte David, OLB

  6. Cleveland Browns: Brandon Weeden, QB, Oklahoma State
There are a lot of choices here for the Browns, and with three early picks, it is hard to know what their strategy is going to be. So much has been made of Weedens age, but he is only a couple years older than incumbent starter Colt McCoy. In the second round, it is a pretty solid business decision.

What are they going to do, sign 2006 NFL draft dropouts Vince Young and Matt Leinart? Ironically, both of them are also currently 28, but five months younger than Weeden. Since quarterbacks can play well into their thirties this could work out pretty well.

Pick change; previously Doug Martin, RB

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: A.J. Jenkins, WR, Illinois
The Jaguears are putting their weight behind Blaine Gabbert, so it makes sense to add another receiving threat. Signing Laurent Robinson was a nice move, and now they have added Lee Evans. No one on the team caught 50 balls last year or tallied 500 yards receiving, so I dont expect them to stop there. I had LSUs Reuben Randle here, but it looks like Jacksonville is honing in on Jenkins in this spot.

Pick change; previously Rueben Randle, WR

  8. St. Louis Rams: Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State
This could be an incredible stroke of luck for the Rams. Failing a pot test at the Combine on the heels of serving a five-game suspension is almost certain to heavily damage the Adams’ stock, but with multiple picks at their disposal early in the draft and a definite need at the tackle position Im not sure St. Louis can pass on him again. Of course, it also wouldnt surprise me to see him slide all the way to the Rams in round 3.

Pick change; previously Kendall Reyes, DT

  9. Carolina Panthers: Rueben Randle, WR, LSU
Other than for Steve Smith’s resurgent 2011 season, no player on the Panthers caught 50 passes. Its great that rookie Cam Newton spread the ball around to a pair of tight ends (82 receptions combined) and running backs (63), but Carolina needs to threaten the defense from all directions. I think Randle helps the team do that.

Pick change; previously Chandler Jones, DE/OLB

  10. Buffalo Bills: Kirk Cousins, QB, Michigan State
This probably would stun a lot of people. Didnt they just throw a bunch of money at Ryan Fitzpatrick? They sure did, but quarterback is very much on their minds, and Cousins is the type of player who might be developed for the future.

Im not a huge fan of his, but it looks like Cousin’s could land as high as the second round. For me, all it really took for me was watching his Spring game on BTN, as crazy as that sounds. He kept throwing off his back foot and it drove me batty. The Bills might wait around for a late rounder such as the mobile Russell Wilson out of Wisconsin. In that case, I could see them going with an offensive tackle or cornerback here.

Pick change; previously Josh Robinson, CB

  11. Miami Dolphins: Bobby Massie, OT, Mississippi
Finding a bookend for Jake Long would make the development of expected first-round pick Ryan Tannehill a lot easier. I never found a home for Massie in my last mock, but that was strictly out of circumstance.

Pick change; previously Kirk Cousins, QB

  12. Seattle Seahawks: Mychael Kendricks, ILB, California
Right off the bat, Im not in love with this pick. Its probably too high for Kendricks even after his dynamic showing at the Combine. However, the Seahawks need an impact inside linebacker, and they can always shuffle down the board a little and land him.

Pick change; previously Andre Branch, DE

  13. Kansas City Chiefs: Kendall Reyes, DT, Connecticut
I can usually count on Scott Pioli to build in the trenches. This is a good value, and even after spending high picks on a couple of LSU Tigers in recent seasons, the front line is far from settled. He will keep trying.

Pick change; previously Brandon Weeden, QB

  14. Dallas Cowboys: Ronnell Lewis, DE/OLB, Oklahoma
Franchising Anthony Spencer had some people a bit puzzled. He has not been the type of player many people would feel the Cowboys absolutely had to retain. However, in this draft, they are going to aggressively pursue another pass rusher, and, maybe, 2012 will actually be Spencer’s last season wearing a star on his helmet.

  15. Philadelphia Eagles: Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama
Trying to figure out where players with a checkered history will fall during the draft is nearly impossible. Outsiders have only a fraction of the information that teams are looking at which makes the guesswork of mock drafting even more of a crapshoot. However, the Eagles have taken a look, and if he is still on the board, here I fully expect them to pounce on the first-round talent.

  16. New York Jets: Harrison Smith, S, Notre Dame
I dont see Smith being here, but if he is, I would just about lock it up for the Jets to take him. If Rex Ryan gets his hands on Smith, I think he winds up as one of the better safeties in the league for a long time.

Pick change; previously Mohamed Sanu, WR

  17. New England Patriots: Trumaine Johnson, CB/S, Montana
Considering the state of the Patriots’ pass defense, it stands to reason they might add help in the secondary. No one really believes New England is going to use all four of its picks in the first two rounds, but projecting all of them to be on the defensive side with an emphasis up front and in the secondary makes sense to me. Johnson has racked up a lot of visits, including the Patriots, although they host players for a lot of reasons and are not tipping their hand.

Pick change; previously Jayron Hosley, CB

  18. San Diego Chargers: Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin
Its kind of cheating to have Zeitler falling here where the Chargers would love to swoop him up. I would be surprised if he was not taken 6-12 slots ahead of this. However, with Kris Dielman out, I cant imagine them passing on the opportunity to draft a good bet to instantly replace him. You dont get much safer than drafting Badgers on the offensive line.

  19. Chicago Bears: Zach Brown, OLB, North Carolina
A handful of teams have hosted Brown, and since those teams are drafting in the middle of the second round, I will take a stab at placing him here. This might not be the biggest need for the Bears, but he is a gifted player and defense is still what this team is all about.

Pick change; previously Kelechi Osemele, G

  20. Philadelphia Eagles: Lavonte David, OLB, Nebraska
Walt is right. Andy Reid is not fond of drafting linebackers, but it would be wise of him to change his strategy if he wants to keep coaching the Eagles. They have shown interest in Utah States Wagner, but I dont think he goes this high, and I want to get David off the board. These are the sacrifices I sometimes have to make in order that a mock makes as much sense as possible.

Pick change; previously Bobby Wagner, LB

  21. Tennessee Titans: Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin
If Konz tumbles a bit down the draft board, which is very possible if the Ravens are not interested late in round one, it is very possible he is available here for the Titans, which would gladly snap him up as their center of the future.

Pick change; previously Zach Brown, OLB

  22. Cincinnati Bengals: Josh Robinson, CB, Central Florida
We will find out if Cincinnati thinks this class is deep enough at cornerback to go after better value picks with its first-round selections. The Bengals might not, but if they do its the top corner here.

Pick change; previously David Wilson, RB

  23. Detroit Lions: Andre Branch, DE, Clemson
As Walt pointed out in his mock draft, the Lions love to take the best available player and, in this case, it would bolster an already talented defensive line.

Pick change; previously Amini Silatolu, G/T

  24. Atlanta Falcons: Mitchell Schwartz, OT, California
I might as well admit it. I think Schwartz is a great sleeper pick, and while he might not go this high, he very well could and should. California has produced a lot of contributing linemen for the NFL because they are well=coached. Schwartz has a ton of experience and, if nothing else, is going to be a very competent swing tackle for years to come.

  25. Pittsburgh Steelers: Alameda Taamu, NT, Washington
A lot of picks seem to make perfect sense when mocking the draft and this is one of them. Of course, it doesnt make it any more likely to happen, but the Steelers are definitely rebuilding their defense and need a nose tackle.

  26. Denver Broncos: Lamar Miller, RB, Miami
John Fox wants his stable of, well, horses in the backfield which makes sense given this is the Broncos. The Hurricanes have served Denver well, and Miller is more valuable than this draft slot. Backs are simply not valued in todays NFL.

  27. Houston Texans: Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers
After passing on a receiver in the first round, the Texans might strike here in round two with a player who was once considered a potential late first-round choice.

Pick change; previously Mychael Kendricks, ILB

  28. Green Bay Packers: Derek Wolfe, DE/DT, Cincinnati
Wolfe was on the short list of players I left off the board in my last mock draft, but as the analysis of both Walt and Charlie illustrates, this is a good landing spot for him.

Pick change; previously Vinny Curry, DE/OLB

  29. Baltimore Ravens: Jayron Hosley, CB, Virginia Tech
Even though the Ravens just added Jimmy Smith in the first round last year, there is little doubt they will be adding another cornerback in this draft. For one thing, they need players to fill up the depth chart.

Pick change; previously Brandon Boykin, CB

  30. San Francisco 49ers: Bruce Irvin, DE/OLB, West Virginia
If Irvin impressed the team in his visit I think there is a strong possibility it takes him here. The 49ers might already have a lot of talent on the second level, but they can always add pass rushers.

Pick change; previously Brandon Thompson, DT

  31. New England Patriots: Vinny Curry, DE/OLB, Marshall
I cant complete a mock draft without giving the Patriots a pass rusher, and I want to get Curry off the board. In that respect, I consider two birds to be the victim of the single stone I just threw at my monitor.

Pick change; previously Jared Crick, DE/DT

  32. New York Giants: Dwayne Allen, TE, Clemson
This is a nice combination of value and need to wrap up my abbreviated final mock draft. Enjoy the real deal.

Pick change; previously LaMichael James, RB
