Next updates: Final (barring major trade in next couple of hours).
Follow me @walterfootball for updates.
The order of this 2012 NFL Mock Draft is based on the real 2012 NFL Draft Order.
-
St. Louis Rams: Danny Coale, WR/P, Virginia Tech
Let's kick off Round 6 with a punter. How exciting. The Rams need one after losing Donnie Jones to the Texans in free agency. Danny Coale can play receiver too.
-
Philadelphia Eagles: Edwin Baker, RB, Michigan State
The Ronnie Brown experiment was an epic failure, so the Eagles may want to add a running back to the mix.
-
Washington Redskins: Nate Potter, G/OT, Boise State
Kory Lichtensteiger played well in 2011, but tore his ACL and MCL. There's no guarantee he'll be anywhere close to 100 percent this year.
-
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Taylor Thompson, TE, SMU
Kellen Winslow won't be around much longer, so the Buccaneers should find competition for Luke Stocker.
-
Minnesota Vikings: Tauren Poole, RB, Tennessee
Adrian Peterson's 2012 status is in doubt, so the Vikings may spend a Day 3 pick on a running back.
-
Jacksonville Jaguars: B.J. Coleman, QB, UT-Chattanooga
Here's some insurance just in case Blaine Gabbert is a total bust. Jacksonville can't go into the 2012 campaign with Gabbert and Chad Henne as its only viable options at quarterback.
-
Arizona Cardinals: Ryan Davis, DE/OLB, Bethune-Cookman
The Cardinals need to think about finding some competition at rush linebacker across from Sam Acho.
-
Buffalo Bills: Matt McCants, OT, UAB
The Bills have been talking about spending multiple picks on tackles.
-
New Orleans Saints: Rishaw Johnson, G, California-PA
The Saints don't really have any depth in the interior of their offensive line. A late-round pick could change that.
-
Carolina Panthers: Mike Harris, CB, Florida State
There are many reasons why the Panthers ranked dead last versus aerial attacks in terms of YPA (8.4). One of which is the cornerback position; they don't have anything across from Chris Gamble.
-
Seattle Seahawks: Tony Bergstrom, OT/G, Utah
Seattle's offensive line was ravaged by injuries this season, so the team will be looking for a utility lineman who can play multiple positions. Tony Bergstrom could do that, and he might be able to take over as a starting guard eventually.
Pick change; previously Demario Davis, OLB
-
Kansas City Chiefs: Aaron Henry, S, Wisconsin
Romeo Crennel likes using three-safety formations at times, so the Chiefs may want to spend a mid- or late-round pick on the position, especially considering that both Eric Berry and Kendrick Lewis are coming off injuries.
-
San Diego Chargers: Asa Jackson, CB, Cal Poly-SLO
The Chargers currently have only four corners on the roster, so they could use two selections on that position.
Pick change; previously Nicolas Jean-Baptiste, NT
-
Chicago Bears: Deangelo Peterson, TE, LSU
Another weapon for Jay Cutler. Mike Martz is gone, so the Bears will probably start using talented tight ends - that is, of course, unless they hire another crazed lunatic as their offensive coordinator.
-
Arizona Cardinals: Joe Looney, G, Wake Forest
It wouldn't be surprising if the Cardinals spend two selections on offensive linemen this April, given the state of their dreadful front.
-
Dallas Cowboys: Ronald Leary, G, Memphis
The Cowboys had major issues on the interior of their offensive line last year. They signed two guards this offseason, Nate Livings and Mackenzy Bernadeau, but the latter is just a backup.
-
New York Jets: Davin Meggett, RB, Maryland
The Jets traded for Tim Tebow, so they're going to emphasize "Ground and Pound" more than ever.
Pick change; previously Dan Herron, RB
-
Denver Broncos: Junior Hemingway, WR, Michigan
You know you really need help at receiver when two of your top four receivers are Andre Caldwell and Matt Willis.
-
Oakland Raiders: Terrance Ganaway, RB, Baylor
The Raiders need a power complement for Darren McFadden in the wake of Michael Bush's signing with Chicago.
Pick change; previously Alex Hoffman-Ellis, OLB
-
Tennessee Titans: Christian Thompson, S, South Carolina State
The Titans are pretty thin at safety, so they could use a selection on the position late in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Pick change; previously Ernest Owusu, DE
-
Cincinnati Bengals: Jeff Fuller, WR, Texas A&M
The Bengals are really thin at receiver, so they could easily spend multiple picks on the position.
-
Atlanta Falcons: Kourtnei Brown, DE, Clemson
John Abraham will be 34 soon, while Ray Edwards was disappointing in his first year as a Falcon. Help at defensive end is needed.
-
Pittsburgh Steelers: Lucas Nix, G, Pittsburgh
Chris Kemoeatu was benched twice this past season. He was a cap casualty because he was due $3.5 million in 2012. The guard position is a big need for the Steelers.
-
Philadelphia Eagles: Jordan Bernstine, S, Iowa
The Eagles definitely need to add some competition to the safety position.
-
Houston Texans: Bradie Ewing, FB, Wisconsin
Our first fullback is off the board! Bradie Ewing can compete with James Casey to be the lead-blocker in the wake of Lawrence Vickers' release.
-
Miami Dolphins: Levy Adcock, OT, Oklahoma State
Marc Colombo stinks. He can't block anyone. Of the nine sacks the Dolphins surrendered against the Eagles, Colombo was responsible for three of them.
-
Green Bay Packers: Chris Anzevino, C, Kent State
Jeff Saturday was a great addition to the roster, but there's no telling how long he'll last.
-
Baltimore Ravens: Brandon Hardin, S, Oregon State
The Ravens need someone to eventually take over for Bernard Pollard, who can be a liability in coverage.
-
San Francisco 49ers: Miles Burris, DE/OLB, San Diego State
You can never have enough pass-rushers. The 49ers like Miles Burris as a late-round prospect.
-
Philadelphia Eagles: Brandon Lindsey, DE, Pittsburgh
Andy Reid wants to bring in another pass-rusher. Brandon Lindsey is a good scheme fit.
-
New York Giants: Devon Wylie, WR, Fresno State
The Giants lost Mario Manningham this offseason, so they may look into drafting a receiver in the middle rounds if the value is right.
-
New York Jets: David Molk, C, Michigan
The Jets looked lost when Nick Mangold was out this past season, so they should acquire a quality backup.
-
New York Jets: Tahir Whitehead, DE/OLB, Temple
The Jets could stand to add a second pass-rusher in the 2012 NFL Draft.
-
Cleveland Browns: Ryan Miller, G, Colorado
Here's some competition for Jason Pinkston, who struggled at left guard last year.
-
Cleveland Browns: Audie Cole, ILB, N.C. State
The Browns may use a late pick on some insurance behind D'Qwell Jackson.
-
Indianapolis Colts: Robert Blanton, CB, Notre Dame
The Colts couldn't stop anyone last year. It was embarrassing. They were stricken with awful corner play, which is something that really needs to be addressed.
-
Carolina Panthers: James Hanna, TE, Oklahoma
The Panthers love using multi-tight end sets. They haven't re-signed Jeremy Shockey this offseason, so why not obtain another Hurricane tight end as a replacement?

Janzen Jackson withdrew from the vols for spring with the option of returning this fall. I would think that would hurt his outlook for being a first rounder.

why can't you dumbpoops read that the order is pretty much random. Bad teams pick early and good team pick late, that's the only "order" he has going here.

Im happy they lose but they wont even get past the wildcard IF they even make the playoffs. and Lastly, the patriots winning the superbowl? Thats been the norm for the past 4 years in every mock draft, has it come true?? Nope.
