2015 NFL Draft Position Rankings:
QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | G | C | DE | DT | NT | 3-4 OLB | 3-4 DE | OLB | ILB | CB | S | K

  1. Jared Crick, DE/DT, Nebraska
    Height: 6-6. Weight: 285.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.88.
    Projected Round (2012): 1-2.

5/25/11: Jared Crick has been inconsistent at Nebraska, but has the talent to ultimately sneak into the first round. He's been dealing with knee issues this spring, but should be ready for the 2011 season.

10/8/10: Crick doesn't look like the same player without Ndamukong Suh. His game against Washington was terrible and I'll be watching him closely as the year progresses.

5/6/10: If Jared Crick has another year like 2009 (12.5 TFL, 9.5 sacks), he'll be a top 15 lock. He'll have to prove that he can get it done without Ndamukong Suh by his side, however. Crick can play in both the 4-3 and 3-4.

  2. Kheeston Randall, DE/DT, Texas
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 295.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.96.
    Projected Round (2012): 1-2.

5/25/11: Kheeston Randall had 10 TFL in 2010. He's entering his third year as a starter, and has emerged as a possible first-round prospect.

8/2/10: In 10 starts as a sophomore, Kheeston Randall had 4.5 TFL and three sacks.

  3. Baker Steinkuhler, DE/DT, Nebraska
    Height: 6-6. Weight: 290.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.92.
    Projected Round (2012): 2.

5/25/11: The "other" five-technique out of Nebraska, Baker Steinkuhler is an athletic lineman who generated 3.5 sacks as a sophomore in 2010.

  4. Billy Winn, DE/DT, Boise State
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 288.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.94.
    Projected Round (2011): 2-3.

    5/25/11: An AP All-America third-teamer, Billy Winn had 10.5 TFL and 5.5 sacks in 2010. He's a prototypical 3-4 end prospect.

8/3/10: Billy Winn was very productive as a sophomore, notching 12.5 TFL and six sacks, and earning a spot on the All-WAC Second Team.

  5. Kendall Reyes, DE/DT, Connecticut
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 295.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.90.
    Projected Round (2012): 2-3.

5/25/11: Kendall Reyes had 10 TFL in 2010. He can play under tackle in the 4-3 or five-technique in the 3-4.

  6. Ryan Van Bergen, DE/DT, Michigan
    Height: 6-6. Weight: 283.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.89.
    Projected Round (2011): 3-4.

5/25/11: Ryan Van Bergen had another solid year for Michigan, compiling 8.5 TFL and four sacks.

8/3/10: Ryan Van Bergen has ideal size and athleticism for the 3-4. He had six TFL and five sacks as a sophomore.

  7. Devon Still, DE/DT, Penn State
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 311.
    Projected 40 Time: 5.03.
    Projected Round (2012): 3-4.

5/25/11: Despite being double teamed on virtually every play, Devon Still was able to collect 10 TFL and four sacks in 2010.

8/2/10: Devon Still can play the 4-3, but projects perfectly into the 3-4. He had 5.5 TFL and two sacks as a sophomore.

  8. Armond Armstead, DE/DT, USC
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 295.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.99.
    Projected Round (2011): 4-6.

5/25/11: Armond Armstead is a talented five-technique prospect; he had 6.5 TFL and three sacks in 2010. However, the big concern is that he spent five days this spring in a hospital because of a heart condition. Armstead was recently cleared to practice, but this is going to be a major issue for NFL teams.

8/3/10: In eight games, Armond Armstead had just six tackles (one for loss).

  9. Derek Wolfe, DE/DT, Cincinnati
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 302.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.92.
    Projected Round (2012): 4-6.

5/25/11: Derek Wolfe had 6.5 TFL and three sacks in 2010.

5/6/10: A great athlete at 6-5, 302, Derek Wolfe had eight TFL and five sacks in 2009. Can play in both the 3-4 and 4-3.

  10. J.R. Sweezy, DE/DT, N.C. State
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 293.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.89.
    Projected Round (2012): 5-7.

5/25/11: J.R. Sweezy had a great 2010 campaign, notching 11.5 TFL and 5.5. sacks, earning an All-ACC honorable mention.

  11. Tony Jerod-Eddie, DE/DT, Texas A&M
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 300.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.96.
    Projected Round (2012): 5-7.

5/25/11: Had 2.5 TFL in 2010. Was an All-Big XII honorable mention.

8/2/10: Hasn't produced much at College Station, but could draw some late-round consideration as an athletic 3-4 end prospect.

  12. Eric Latimore, DE/DT, Penn State
    Height: 6-6. Weight: 280.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.78.
    Projected Round (2012): 5-7.

5/25/11: Eric Latimore struggled in 2010, collecting 2.5 TFL and no sacks. He projects as a 3-4 end.

8/1/10: An athletic 270-pound end with long arms, Eric Latimore has lots of potential, but needs to put it all together. He had six TFL and 3.5 sacks in 2009.

  13. Travian Robertson, DE/DT, South Carolina
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 295.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.82.
    Projected Round (2012): 5-7.

5/25/11: Had 10 TFL and four sacks in 2010.

  14. Ethan Johnson, DE/DT, Notre Dame
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 285.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.88.
    Projected Round (2011): 5-7.

5/25/11: Had six TFL and five sacks in 2010.

8/3/10: Ethan Johnson had 6.5 TFL and four sacks as a sophomore.

  15. Terrell Resonno, DE/DT, Missouri
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 295.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.93.
    Projected Round (2012): 6-FA.

  16. Matt Conrath, DE/DT, Virginia
    Height: 6-7. Weight: 270.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.73.
    Projected Round (2011): 7-FA.

5/25/11: Lost some starts in 2010.

5/8/10: Matt Conrath collected six TFL and three sacks as a sophomore; didn't really progress from his freshman year.

8/9/09: As a redshirt freshman, Matt Conrath helped the defense with seven TFL and three sacks.

  17. Patrick Butrym, DE/DT, Wisconsin
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 285.
    Projected 40 Time: 5.01.
    Projected Round (2011): 7-FA.

8/3/10: Patrick Butrym had 2.5 TFL and an interception as a sophomore.

  18. James Aiono, DE/DT, Utah
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 290.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.93.
    Projected Round (2012): 7-FA.

8/2/10: A top-rated JUCO player who just transferred to Utah.

Matt Masifilo, Stanford. 6'3" 285 Senior 3-4 DE. Leader of the Defense for Stanford. 18 Total tackles, 3 TFL, .5 Sacks. He came in as the best and most experienced DL for the 4th ranked CArdinal and he has really raised his game recently.

Tony Jerod-Eddie will be the first 5'6" defensive lineman to play in the NFL.

Agreed with Gonzilla, Jerome Long has been an absolute terror this year. He was the biggest reason the Aztecs were able to slow down TCU's rushing attack, allow no successful inside runs against Michigan, disrupt, Denard Robinson's passing attempts, and has been a monster pass rusher as well. He's going to get drafted.

You should consider Jerome Lone of San Diego State. He lists at 6'5" 285, moving around the line on SDSU's 3-3-5 defense. He was named a pre-season MWC First-Teamer, after being a second-teamer last year.

Last year he had 30 tackles (6 for a loss) and 1.5 sacks, while also recovering a fumble and blocking a kick. He does a great job of holding his man, allowing Miles Burris to make the play, exactly what you want out of a 3-4 end.

I know that you have Jake Bequette listed with the DEs, but I really think most scouts will see him as a 3-4 DE at the next level. He has the frame to carry 290-295 lbs., and (of course) there will be questions regarding his "athleticism" (he's white) no matter how he performs at the Combine/workouts. He should be near the top of this list, IMO.
