QB | RB | FB | WR | TE | OT | G | C | DE | DT | NT | 3-4 OLB | 3-4 DE | OLB | ILB | CB | S | K

  1. Dre Kirkpatrick*, CB, Alabama
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 190.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.46.
Projected Round (2012): Top 10 Pick.

5/29/11: Dre Kirkpatrick lived up to expectations last year. He had three interceptions and broke up seven passes. Kirkpatrick is a top-10 prospect.

8/11/10: Dre Kirkpatrick didn't play much as a freshman because he was nursing an ankle injury, and was stuck behind Kareem Jackson and Javier Arenas. He'll be in the starting lineup in 2010, however. If he lives up to anywhere near what was expected of him coming out of high school, the 6-3 corner will be a top 10 pick.

  2. Jayron Hosley*, CB/PR, Virginia Tech
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 172.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
Projected Round (2012): Top 15 Pick.

5/29/11: Jayron Hosley had a whopping nine interceptions in 2010 - one of which came against Andrew Luck in a winter practice game. He also had eight pass break-ups and a punt return for a touchdown.

  3. Stephon Gilmore*, CB/PR, South Carolina
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 190.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
Projected Round (2012): Top 20 Pick.

5/29/11: Stephon Gilmore had a really bad game against co-national champion Auburn in 2010, but played well throughout most of the season. He was an AP All-America third-teamer.

8/11/10: As a true freshman starting in the SEC, Stephon Gilmore had 56 tackles, eight pass break-ups, six TFL and three sacks. He was also solid on punt returns, averaging 10.1 yards per attempt.

  4. Alfonzo Dennard, CB, Nebraska
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 195.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
Projected Round (2012): Top 25 Pick.

5/29/11: Alfonzo Dennard broke up seven passes and hauled in four interceptions in 2010. He was an All-Big XII second-teamer.

  5. Cliff Harris*, CB/PR, Oregon
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 180.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.43.
Projected Round (2012): Top 25 Pick.

5/29/11: An AP All-America Second Team member, Cliff Harris had six interceptions and four punt returns for a touchdown as a sophomore.

  6. Chase Minnifield, CB, Virginia
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 185.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.46.
    Projected Round (2012): 1-2.

5/29/11: Chase Minnifield has NFL bloodlines; his father Frank was a Pro Bowler with the Browns in the 80s and early 90s. Chase picked off six passes in 2010, leading Virginia's secondary in Dowling's absence.

8/11/10: Chase Minnifield logged two interceptions and a pair of pass break-ups in 2009.

  7. Morris Claiborne*, CB, LSU
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 178.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.42.
    Projected Round (2012): 1-2.

5/29/11: Patrick Peterson wasn't the only talented corner on LSU's defense last season. Morris Claiborne was an All-SEC second-teamer, thanks to 11 passes broken up and five interceptions.

  8. Casey Hayward, CB, Vanderbilt
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 185.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
    Projected Round (2012): 2.

5/29/11: Casey Heyward was a stud in 2010, finishing second in the nation with 17 pass break-ups, as well as second in the SEC with six interceptions. He was an All-SEC second-teamer.

8/11/10: As a sophomore, Casey Hayward had 58 tackles (8.5 TFL) and seven pass break-ups in 2009.

  9. Desmond Trufant*, CB, Washington
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 178.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
    Projected Round (2012): 2-3.

5/29/11: Desmond Trufant had issues with consistency last year, but has the talent and pedigree to bounce back into first-round consideration.

8/11/10: Brother of Seattle Seahawk Marcus Trufant, Desmond started nine games as a true freshman in 2009. He had 47 tackles and broke up six passes.

  10. Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 188.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.56.
    Projected Round (2011): 2-3.

5/29/11: Janoris Jenkins has been kicked off Florida's football team because of three drug arrests. It was speculated that he would enter the supplemental draft, but he transferred to North Alabama.

10/9/10: Jenkins isn't technically the greatest corner in the 2011 NFL Draft and he lacks elite athleticism, but he has great instincts. I'm not as high on him as most are, and his matchup against A.J. Green will be interesting to say the least. He held his own against Julio Jones.

  11. Donnie Fletcher, CB, Boston College
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 200.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
    Projected Round (2012): 2-3.

5/29/11: Donnie Fletcher logged five interceptions in 2010. It seems like he'd be best suited for a Cover-2 system.

8/11/10: Donnie Fletcher had 51 tackles as a sophomore.

  12. Coryell Judie, CB, Texas A&M
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 188.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.39.
    Projected Round (2012): 2-3.

5/29/11: Coryell Judie notched four interceptions and four passes broken up in 2010, earning himself a spot on the All-Big XII Second Team.

  13. Brandon Boykin, CB/KR, Georgia
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 185.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.42.
    Projected Round (2012): 2-3.

5/29/11: Brandon Boykin had another outstanding season in 2010, both in coverage and on special teams. He now has four kickoff return touchdowns in his collegiate career.

8/11/10: Brandon Boykin broke up six passes as a sophomore. More impressively, he scored three touchdowns on kick returns.

  14. Keith Tandy, CB, West Virginia
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 198.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
    Projected Round (2012): 3-4.

5/29/11: Keith Tandy had a whopping 11 passes broken up and six interceptions in 2010.

  15. D'Anton Lynn, CB, Penn State
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 200.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
    Projected Round (2012): 3-4.

5/29/11: D'Anton Lynn is a skilled player and a coach's son; his father is the running backs coach for the Jets. Lynn was an All-Big Ten honorable mention after picking off three passes in 2010.

8/11/10: D'Anton Lynn collected 35 tackles (3.5 TFL) and five pass break-ups as a sophomore.

  16. Kenny Okoro*, CB, Wake Forest
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 195.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
    Projected Round (2012): 3-4.

5/29/11: Didn't have a very good 2010 campaign; broke up five passes and logged two picks.

8/11/10: A third-team All-ACC member as a true freshman, Kenny Okoro logged 11 pass break-ups and three interceptions in 2009.

  17. Shaun Prater, CB, Iowa
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 180.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
    Projected Round (2012): 3-4.

5/29/11: Shaun Prater was an All-Big Ten first-teamer in 2010, thanks to four interceptions. He applied for his draft status, and the NFL Draft Advisory Committee told him he could go as high as the fourth round. Another year should move him into possible Day 2 consideration.

8/11/10: Shaun Prater broke up eight passes in 10 games last season.

  18. Emanuel Davis, CB, East Carolina
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 190.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.44.
    Projected Round (2012): 3-4.

5/29/11: Emanuel Davis broke up nine passes in 2010, earning an All-Conference USA Second Team bid.

8/11/10: Emanuel Davis recorded 12 pass break-ups and two interceptions (one pick-six) as a sophomore.

  19. Omar Bolden, CB, Arizona State
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 195.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
    Projected Round (2012): 3-5.

5/29/11: Omar Bolden tore his ACL in spring practice. He's likely to miss the entire 2010 season.

8/11/10: Omar Bolden had seven pass break-ups in 2008, but missed most of 2009 with a knee injury.

  20. Jamell Fleming, CB, Oklahoma
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 192.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.49.
    Projected Round (2012): 4-6.

5/29/11: Jamell Fleming had five interceptions in 2010. However, he hasn't been practicing this spring because he left school for personal issues.

  21. Cameron Chism, CB, Maryland
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 190.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.44.
    Projected Round (2012): 4-6.

5/13/10: Cameron Chism notched 65 tackles, four passes broken up and four interceptions in 2009.

  22. Tashaun Gipson, CB, Wyoming
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 195.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
    Projected Round (2012): 4-6.

5/29/11: An All-Mountain West honorable mention, Tashaun Gipson had three picks and broke up nine passes in 2010.

  23. Greg McCoy, CB/KR, TCU
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 182.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.35.
    Projected Round (2012): 4-6.

5/29/11: The lightning-quick Greg McCoy had six pass break-ups in 2010. He can be an explosive kick-returner at the next level.

  24. Leonard Johnson, CB, Iowa State
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 195.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.48.
    Projected Round (2012): 4-6.

5/29/11: Broke up seven passes in 2010, and consequently earned a spot on the All-Big XII Second Team.

8/11/10: Leonard Johnson totaled 64 tackles and seven pass break-ups. He'll really need to get his 40 down considering his height.

  25. Josh Pleasant, CB, Kent State
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 178.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.43.
    Projected Round (2012): 5-7.

5/29/11: Broke up eight passes in 2010.

8/11/10: Josh Pleasant broke up a whopping 11 passes to go along with his 73 tackles.

    Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
    Projected Round (2012): 5-7.

8/11/10: Trevin Wade had a great sophomore year, notching nine pass break-ups and five interceptions (one pick-six). His 40 time is a concern, however.

    Projected 40 Time: 4.51.
    Projected Round (2012): 5-7.

  28. DeQuan Menzie, CB, Alabama

    Projected 40 Time: 4.44.
    Projected Round (2012): 6-FA.

5/29/11: Couldn't secure a starting job in 2010. Barely played.

8/11/10: A physically gifted player, T.J. Bryant had 22 tackles and three pass break-ups as a nickel corner in 2009. He'll battle for a starting job as a junior.

  33. Art Evans, CB, Tennessee
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 173.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
    Projected Round (2012): 7-FA.

Personally I think Amerson is better suited as a Safety prospect with his ball-skills and height to match-up with bigger TE down the field. Dee Milliner could very well rise to the top of the pack; he's aggressive and competitive with good speed and physicality and can play the ball in the air. Also, SDSU CB Leon McFadden is a little known sleeper to keep an eye on.

Not saying I could do any better, as I understand it's tough to rank players this early, but as a Tennessee fan you guys should keep an eye on Prentiss Waggner. He actually is their #1 CB and has a good bit of INTs in the past seasons. He's been forced to play out of position as an undersized S due to depth issues. He'll be playing this season full time at CB and has great size at about 6'2 185 lbs. I like seeing Eric Gordon get respect but most would tell you Waggner is the best CB on the team.

I would be shocked if Gilmore is the 4th corner off the board considering he is one of the fastest rising players in the draft at the moment.

He looks like a possible 10-15 pick and very possibly the 2nd corner taken.

@Jerry Jones Jr

You know, I hope, that these drills aren't indicative of football ability? Gilmore may have a great forty and have a higher vert and broad jump than the top three guys, while being taller than two and heavier than two, but that doesn't make him better or safer.

For instance, check out his arms. He has average arms (yes, Kirkpatrick has somewhat short arms). Claiborne and Jenkins, however, look like LA Laker small forwards with their length. They'll be great at getting their hands all over the place and disrupting passing lanes, the way a long forward can in basketball.
